The cryptid being sighted is unlikely to be a quagga.

Apparently while I was in London, quite a bit of dust was kicked up over in Little Hocking, Washington County, Ohio, by the sightings of at least one striped horse-like cryptid.

Now why would I call it a "striped horse-like cryptid," you might ask? Because that's what it looks like, of course.

Media in the Czech Republic is widely reporting a series of UFO sightings that occurred last month in the northern town of Cheb. Numerous residents have flooded radio stations, newspapers and police with calls regarding the UFOs prompting something of an investigation into the events.

The events occurred at around 7.45 pm on Saturday February 14 of this year and again at around the same time on February 17.

Local residents are completely at odds to explain the events. Pavel Beran was returning home from a night out with his wife when he saw the UFOs on 14 February.' We saw two lights and then another two, one emitting a bright orange light, the objects then shot away into the distance in a westward direction. It all lasted about a minute'.

Comment: Friendly aliens? We think not!

While it may be a tad premature to break out the tinfoil hats, grab a loaded shotgun and head for the backyard bunker, a number of strange UFO sightings recently captured on video are attracting increasing amounts of attention.

The sightings, which have been fortuitously recorded by eyewitnesses around the world since the tail end of 2008, appear to show unusual formations of lights gathering, moving, and dispersing in the night sky.

The first such video, which was caught on camera on February 16 by a near-hysterical woman in Huanuco, Peru, shows an unusual elongated triangle formation of lights hanging high above a glittering skyline.

England: Big cat sighting in north Norfolk

News reports of fresh sightings of a mysterious big black cat in north Norfolk have prompted a call from another man who saw it last summer.

Andy Blake, who has a second home at Weybourne, says he spotted the creature in the field at the front of the Muckleburgh Collection museum last June.

He said: "We were driving past about 5.30pm on a summer's evening and about 100 rabbits in the field with a tank in it suddenly scattered. I slowed down and we saw this dark grey animal, about 12 feet long, run across the field and jump clean over two 4ft-high fences.

Doylestown - Three meandering V-shaped UFOs moved low and silently over this Bucks County town late on March 3. A witness said she saw the first object from inside her home - what looked like two very bright car headlights. Outside as the object flew directly over her back yard, she noticed "mesmerizing" lights on a gray underbelly - strobe-style lights flashing white and blue/green.

As the object passed over her front yard, it gained altitude and was joined by two identical crafts. The woman said the objects were close enough that there should have been the sound of an engine - but that they were silent.

Canada: Strange Lights in the Sky

Some people in eastern Newfoundland reported seeing strange lights in the sky last night. A man working at St Clare's Hospital saw a bright white flash that lit up the skyline above St John's. A woman in Bonavista saw two bright flashes of white and purple. Another woman driving on the Trans Canada Highway near Clarenville saw a flash of light that she described as "like a bomb without the boom." Officials with Environment Canada, the RCMP and even Newfoundland Power were baffled. Clayton Power says he was working in St John's when he saw a flash of light around 9pm. Victoria Squires from Carmanville says she was driving through Lethbridge when something lit up the sky.

US: Mysterious door rattling reported in county; earthquake ruled out as the cause

Santa Cruz, California - The shaking felt across the Central Coast this morning was more than the small earthquakes near Tres Pinos and the Los Altos Hills. Apparently a sonic boom is to blame.

The mysterious door and window rattling felt about 9:15 a.m. across Santa Cruz and Monterey counties wasn't an earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The sonic boom was so powerful that USGS seismometers on the ground picked up the movement.
