Weather Conditions: Part Cloud / Part Clear

Description: Orange glowing disk shaped object traveling at a very fast speed just below cloud level. It appeared on the northern horizon and everyone at my BBQ stopped talking when we saw it. The object moved very fast and disappeared over the south horizon within 5 minutes. It was traveling on a straight horizontal flight path. When it passed almost overhead we could hear no sound but there did seem to be some red glowing lights within the fiery orange underbelly of the object. It was moving too fast for a plane and did not have the shape of a plane.

Shape of objects: With my eyes they looked like crosses with bins the red ones were long and the white ones were possibly like swirls
Weather Conditions: NO clouds!

Description: Was looking up as far as I could see. I saw about 20 objects together - no formation, they looked almost like crosses with my eyes, then with binoculars looked a little like swirls - then with the binocs I also saw red long objects - about 2 - which I couldn't see with my eyes. They all looked a little like clouds - no particular shape - some looked longish and some looked like swirls, the red ones which also looked see through like clouds were more of a definite shape - just long - but even though they were high - they must of been very big!

Witness Statement: strange whitey blue light moving around the sky very fast and in no orderly direction, moving everywhere, very fast, no real fluctuation or differ of height, just change of position and various fast speeds.

Location of Sighting: Mongonissi in Paxos Island in Greece
Date of Sighting: Wednesday 20th May 2009
Time: 03.30am

Witness Statement: I was with a yachting flotilla around the Paxos and Anti Paxos islands and we had moored at a small port named Mongonissi which is south of Paxos Island just south of Corfu. We had a beach barbecue and then some Greek dancing and a meal and then we went back to the yacht. The sky was the clearest I had ever witnessed in my life and I sat out with a cup of tea and a sandwich and afterwards lay back to gaze at the many stars. Just as I was going to head for bed, I saw a shooting star and thought it doesn't get much better than this. About 2 minutes later a bright thin orange line appeared to my right hand side high in the sky and shot across very quickly until it was just above me, I assumed I was witnessing another shooting star. However whatever it was stopped dead in the sky and then shot off almost at a right angle to the right, then it stopped again dead and shot back towards me, it continued doing this a couple more times and then shot off and out of my view to my left hand side.

Scotland: Mysterious UFO sightings continue

The Dumfries UFO mystery has thickened.

Another two reports of sightings have come forward from people who witnessed orange lights over the town two weeks ago.

The revelation comes after a story in Wednesday's Standard when a woman claimed to have seen 11 UFOs in the skies on Friday, June 26, at around 10.30pm.

After reading the story, Sandra McGowan of the town's Broomlands Drive said she and husband Allan saw the lights at the same time.

She said: "My husband saw them when he was coming home after being out and called me out to see them.

A Flockton man was so concerned about last weekend's UFO sightings he rang the police and the Ministry of Defence.

Businessman Mike Goring said: "I saw first three lights and then two after that.

"I'm aware of Chinese lanterns, but what concerns me is they flew across the flight paths for Manchester and Leeds. The lights look co-ordinated and what's shocking is they stopped and started."

Helen Bamforth from Meltham said the lights were so bright they had woken her up.

Ross and Donna Sowerby don't believe in ghosts but are having difficulty explaining what they caught on video. So is there a ghost cat in Hawera?

A mysterious apparition in their driveway has a Hawera couple perplexed.

Donna and Ross Sowerby had set up a security camera after a bike went missing from their property recently. But instead of catching the possible culprits, the sceptics believe they've captured something much more obscure.

When Ross returned from work on Wednesday evening, the couple sat down to watch the 40-minute video and were more than surprised by what they saw about 25 seconds in.

"I said 'did you see that?' because I wasn't sure if it was just me," said Ross.

The UFO Traffic Report for Friday, July 10, 2009, includes 15 selected sightings over nine states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Today's stories include: a group of spherical objects over Colorado that seemed to be connected; Orange Orbs over Pennsylvania; Orange orbs in a triangle formation over Pennsylvania; an Orange Sphere over Kentucky; an Orange Globe over the Connecticut River; an unusual object that turned up in a Google Street View; a formation of four lights over Idaho; a circular or octagon-shaped object over Pennsylvania; a huge round light making a beeping noise just outside a Pennsylvania home; a triangle-shaped object between 2,000 and 3,000 feet over Reno, Nevada; an oval-shaped craft less than 3,000 feet over Kentucky; an illuminated disc over Ohio; an Orange Orb over Plymouth, Massachusetts; a disc or boomerang over Ohio; six glowing orbs over Colorado; and an object almost beyond description that startled travelers along Colorado's I-76.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. US: 30 foot cone-shaped object lands on California ranch

Three California witnesses had an unusual experience during and after they watched a 30-foot-long and 20-foot-tall cone-shaped object with portholes that had either landed or was hovering slightly above their ranch, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

A fourth witness arrived later and was there for the final event.

The original three witnesses first noticed a "bluish light." But looking closer, it was described as "actually portholes that were illuminated from within. There were three on the bottom in a row, one above-right/center, above that one was another single illuminated porthole left-center and then two on the top."

The object was between 300 and 400 feet away at it was hovering silently at ground level.

After watching for five minutes, they grabbed a few items and got into a truck to move toward it, but then noticed that the object "was just gone."

They believe the object may also have landed.

They returned to the scene 20 minutes later, and heard a series of "click" sounds coming from the trees around them. They moved away from the area.

US: Orange orb UFO videotaped over Duncansville, PA, July 10

A glowing orange triangle UFO was seen and videotaped over Duncansville, Pennsylvania, July 10, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.


The witness reports the object was low flying and coming from the nearby Hollidaysburg area.

Duncansville is a borough in Blair County Pennsylvania, near Altoona in the southwestern part of the state. Population 1,238.
