Witness Statement: I was chatting to some family on Skype and briefly looked out the window when I noticed a silver looking "dish" moving vertically. It resembled a wobbly frisbee. It reached a certain height and then started moving horizontally in a north easterly direction. The weird part is that It was in the vicinity of airspace i.e a few planes passed quite near by. I wonder if they could detect it on radar. I ruled out the possibility of a radio controlled toy as it would have well passed out of range. Anyone else spot anything?

Date of Sighting: 10th July 2009
Time: 10.50 pm

Witness Statement: There were 5 witnesses. First we saw a Bright dot traveling across the sky very silent and slow. I dismissed as one of these lanterns. But about 10 minutes later we saw another three in perfect formation. Not a sound to be heard. We photographed them and when zoomed in they were perfect triangles with what appears to be jets on the back. Traveling very slowly and no noise. I thought maybe a Stealth type aircraft but after many searches nothing matches the photos.

Time: 10.14pm

Witness Statement: I popped out to the back garden for a cigarette and there was a large object in the sky traveling very fast. It looked like a ball of fire and was traveling approx 3 x the speed of an aeroplane. I called my girlfriend who came out and also saw it. She thought it was an aeroplane on fire! I asked her to run and get the camera but she took ages, I watched it move along the sky until it was completely out of sight. Considering how bright it was and how clearly I could see it, it must have been really moving! There was not a cloud in the sky, I have seen many planes and helicopters and this was definitely something I have not seen before!! Did anyone else see this or has anyone got an explanation??

Somebody asked me a few weeks ago what I considered to be the strangest unidentified animal encounter I have ever investigated. Well, unsurprisingly, there have been more than a few memorable cases that positively reeked of extreme weirdness; but without doubt, right near the top of this list was the strange affair of a man named Malcolm Lees.

Lees enlisted in the British Royal Air Force in the early 1950's and retired in the late 1960's. In 1962 he received a posting to a RAF station in the county of Wiltshire, which he declined to name, and worked in the prestigious and secretive world of intelligence gathering.

Most of the work, Lees explained, was routine and even mundane; and he laughed heartily at the idea, spouted by many, that intelligence work was a glamorous one full of James Bond-style escapades. Nevertheless, Lees said, there was one aspect of his career that really was stranger than fiction.

US: Shots 'fired' at blue sphere UFO over Fort Lewis, WA

The UFO Traffic Report for Monday, July 13, 2009, includes 17 selected sightings over 13 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 72 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Today's reports include: A blue sphere seen over Fort Lewis where witnesses claim someone was shooting at it; and some rather odd reports of smaller objects at ground level with witness testimony out of Washington, Oklahoma, Georgia, and New Mexico; and a human-like being spotted in Colorado.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. The following reports and their headlines are unedited. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report index page.

Please let me know what you think of the new format for UFO Traffic Reports. I'd rather try and cover more reports in this space, giving you a report summation for each case. US: Orange Light UFOs photographed north of Pueblo, Colorado

A Colorado photographer shooting the night sky north of Pueblo, did not notice an unusual set of Orange Lights in the sky until viewing the photos later, according to a witness report from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The photographer was out shooting photos of an approaching storm and is not sure if these lights are something natural, or an optical illusion.

US: 'Gigantic' orange sphere hovers over Missouri man, causes missing time

A Missouri man who works in law enforcement encountered a "gigantic" orange/yellow sphere that was hovering between 200 and 300 feet off of the ground about six blocks from his location, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The man said he was "mesmerized" by the object and could not move. As the object came closer, he said he could see that it had structure, that it "looked like a dark silvery color under the brightly glowing light," and that there was a "weird static electricity feeling in the air."

After the object moved directly overhead and away from him about two blocks, he said it then shot up at a 45-degree angle and "was gone in a second."

Back at home, he noticed the time was 2:12 a.m. - and realized he was "not outside that long."

US: Large disc UFO low to ground over Texas caught on camera

A Texas woman captured what appears to be a large disc-shaped UFO over Lake Granger in Willis Creek Park while photographing children playing in the water, according to a witness report from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The woman said she was not aware of the disc while taking the photo, but only noticed it later on her computer.

Granger Lake is a United States Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the San Gabriel River in Central Texas, located near the towns of Granger, and Taylor, in Williamson County. Willis Creek Park is also maintained as a recreational facility.

US: Several people report orange lights in Southeast Missouri sky

Orange lights in the night sky have been reported in Southeast Missouri once again.

H.B. Rice said he was with four people sitting around a friend's pool in Chaffee, Mo., Wednesday night when they saw a bright orange light in the eastern sky moving from the south to the northeast.

"One of my friends said, 'That was a satellite.' Personally, I didn't think it was a satellite," Rice said.

He said the light returned 30 minutes later, about 9:30 p.m., from the direction in which it had been traveling. It stopped abruptly and then disappeared, he said.

"The fact that it stopped is what blew us all away," Rice said.

The activity of the Volcan Arenal during the past week or so has not only attracted national and foreign tourists to the La Fortuna de San Carlos, but also visitors from the outer world.

Reports of unidentified flying objects (UFO's) have been pouring, according to Ufologist, Edgar Picado, who is investigating the latest reports.

Picado insists that visits by extraterrestrials to the volcano are common and that the recent increase in reports is due to the increase interest in the volcano due to its recent activity.
