A Colorado photographer shooting the night sky north of Pueblo, did not notice an unusual set of Orange Lights in the sky until viewing the photos later, according to a witness report from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The photographer was out shooting photos of an approaching storm and is not sure if these lights are something natural, or an optical illusion.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Colorado MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will update this page. The following report is unedited. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report index page.

Colorado, July 10, 2009 - 4 photographs of lights in the night sky during a lightning storm

Noticing a lightning storm to the North of Pueblo, CO. I set off for a good vantage point near the 4th street bridge near Corona St. The plan was to take long exposure shots of the lightning, only there was a cluster of lights over the city when the camera (Nikon D80, w/Sigma DG70-300mm) was finished recording the shot.

They were not visible to the naked eye.

On the 4th 30sec exposure of the same area the lights do not appear as they were in the first three seeming much further to the north of town, and not at all present in later exposures.

I didn't notice that the lights were present until later when I reviewed them when I was done. I tried to find them again in a second round of photos but the yielding nothing at all.

This may turn out to be some kind of optical illusion, but it is very interesting and the shots submitted are unaltered and I will leave the originals on the memory card for later analysis if necessary.

Let me know what you think of them, thanks for your time.
