Multiple witness sightings of UFOs in broad daylight over Peruvian city

People in the southern Peruvian city of Tacna jammed radio broadcasts and emergency phone lines when a pair of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) appeared over the skies of this border city in South America.

The two shiny objects were videotaped flying over the city which is located near the country's southern border with Chile.

One witness called the popular Radioprogramas del Perú (RPP) radio station and said that the UFOs were following an erratic trajectory, describing how the objects in the sky were moving from one side to the other.

Hunter recalls shocking encounter with alien robot

On Sept. 4, 1964, 28-year-old Donald Shrum and some of his friends went bow hunting in the high Sierras near Cisco Grove in northern California. Shrum was an avid hunter and was familiar with the outdoors.

But during the afternoon, Shrum somehow got separated from the rest of the group. It was starting to get dark so he decided to sleep the night away in a tree for safety. As he tried to get some sleep, Shrum saw a weird white light that zig-zagged through the nearby trees at a low altitude, according to a Web site.

At first, Shrum thought it was a helicopter so he jumped down from the safety of the tree. He lit some signal flares to attract attention to himself. He thought that his friends had launched a rescue party in order to find him. He would soon regret lighting those signal flares.

US: Ohio witnesses watch three V-shaped UFOs during trip to Logan

An Ohio witness and son watched three slow moving V-shaped objects while they drove between Port Columbus and Logan, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

They first noticed what they thought was a "strange configuration of lights in the sky." The driver saw one object through the windshield. The son saw a second object from the passenger side window. Later in the trip, the son saw a third object when he looked out the back window.

They report that the object had "three lights of different sizes stacked atop the other from what looked as though a straight on view. When seeing it as a side view, the same three stack of lights ran vertical and there was an "arm" of another line of three lights of uniform size as compared to the others which connected horizontally to the top light in the other stack in a "V" configuration."

England: UFO sighting over Colne

A bright orange light in the sky over Colne had drivers stopping in their tracks late on Saturday night. Mr Bill O'Hooghe got out of his car to film the spectacle, which he is convinced was a UFO.

"We thought it was a helicopter at first, thinking there was a problem somewhere," he said. "Either that or a plane. When we stopped to have a look, there was no noise, then the light just went straight up and disappeared.

"When the next light came I quickly got my camera and began filming it. Again, there was no noise. It was just really bright and then disappeared after 30 seconds."

RAF Marham today ruled out any possibility its aircraft had sparked a flood of UFO sightings.

Witnesses have reported seeing bright orange lights in the sky at locations including Dereham, Downham Market, Holkham, Caister and Norwich in recent days. News of the sightings comes a week after a helicopter pilot had reported seeing a strange orange light over in the sky over Norwich.

Dennis Sayer, from Dereham, said: "Me and the wife spotted an orange light passing our house here in Dereham from the Windsor Park area about 11.15 Monday night looking out from a bedroom window and it was coming from the Norwich area heading toward Fakenham/Wells way.

A still from video footage taken by Alan Ferguson
A Territory UFO spotter says he has video evidence of UFOs flying in the Territory sky. Alan Ferguson has been claiming for more than 12 months that unidentified flying objects have been circling above his home in Acacia Hills, south of Darwin. And now he says he has the pictures to prove it.

Mr Ferguson captured the video about two weeks ago. About 40 seconds into the video a small black object can be seen flashing on the left hand side of the screen. A similar flash occurs two more times during the two-minute video.

"They move so quickly. They blink on and blink off - it's amazing," he said.

US: Triangle UFO low flying over Ohio countryside

A group of Ohio witnesses near Toledo, Ohio, saw and followed a low flying triangle-shaped object in the early morning of August 7, 2009, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

They first saw bright lights in the sky as they were driving east along State Route 579, but soon realized the object was coming directly at them. As the object approached, they noticed "two visible white lights to the left and right sides of the craft, and one light in the middle and higher up, making a triangle."

They estimate the object was between 500 and 700 feet off of the ground.

England: UFOs landing claim after lights go out (Video)

Video footage of a UFO sighting has been given to The Sentinel by a man who says he saw "eight gold-coloured lights" descending on a field. Christopher Wilson spotted the first as he drove towards Weston Coyney on Saturday. He said the light went out before a black object went behind some trees on a field behind Coyney Grove.

Another seven objects are said to have formed an arrow shape in the sky before landing. Mr Wilson, who says the incident occurred between 9.42pm and 10.05pm, said: "It was the same yellow as a street lamp. After about five minutes, its light turned off but I could still make out an object.

Sky Serpents

The flying snakes that terrorised America!

One day in early 1833, a native chief approached two Western missionaries working on the Indonesian island of Sumatra to relate a bizarre experience. The chief, Tam Basar by name, swore that he and a companion had seen a snake flying through the air. Fearing that it was dangerous, they killed it when it landed near them. When the missionaries expressed incredulity, the chief insisted that he was telling the truth. He added that the snake, 4ft (1.2m) long, had no wings, which to the listeners only made the story more far-fetched.

A year later, in January 1834, one of those missionaries, NM Ward, happened to be walking through a forest near the Pedang-Bessie River, a mile or so (1.6km) from the location where the flying snake had allegedly appeared. He and a companion stopped to study a particularly tall tree. Looking up, they were stunned to see a flying snake, exactly as described by the native informant. Four feet long and wingless, it was moving rapidly through the air from the tree they were standing under to another about 240ft (73m) away.

"Thus," Ward wrote in the Missionary Herald of March 1841, "was I convinced of the existence of flying serpents; and, on inquiry, I found some of the natives, accustomed to the forest, aware of the fact."

Ward went on to write that Dutch naturalists working in the area didn't believe him, any more than he had believed Tam Basar. The sceptics, however, were wrong. There are five species of "flying" snakes in South and Southeastern Asia; flying is in quotes because the creatures are actually gliding or parachuting. Herpetologists do not dispute their existence, and many photographs, films, and videos exist, as do collected specimens. What Ward saw, in other words, was nothing otherworldly.
