US: Witness says flat-bottom UFO near Somerville, New Jersey, 'rather bizarre'

A New Jersey couple near Somerville watched a flat-bottom object with more than 25 lights move low and silently across the sky on July 24, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"Now the image of this object is rather bizarre," the reporting witness stated.

"It had a flat bottom portion that consisted of way more than 25 lights. They would flash in a specific random sequence, turn off for a second or two, turn back on and begin flashing again. They were also accompanied by a blue light on the side. It was very hard to tell the depth and true image of the top portion of the object, but it had one nonetheless."

They lost sight of the object when it moved behind trees. No images or video were provided with the MUFON report.

Somerville is a borough in Somerset County, population 12,423.

US: Illinois couple wants explanation on six 'sphere-like' objects over Northlake

An Illinois couple and 6-year-old son are hoping other witnesses come forward after they saw a cluster of six "sphere-like objects" moving in formation between 50 and 70 feet off of the ground near the Northlake Police Station on July 25 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"My wife and son looked up and we saw a group of six sphere like objects in the sky, they were in a loose formation, but were also kind of spinning around each other," the father stated.

Their first thought was that they were looking at balloons, but the wind direction seems to discount that theory.

"We thought it might be a cluster of balloons, but they were traveling against the wind and were illuminated by both the sun and the objects themselves. We watched them as they traveled over the tree's and eventually disappeared behind some tree's and houses."

US: Four sphere-shaped UFOs move over Baltimore toward Atlantic Ocean

A Maryland witness near Baltimore reports watching four "large spheres moving west to east at a high rate of speed" on July 25, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness first saw a single sphere in the sky, but quickly saw three more following it at different elevations.

A 911 operator explained that the lights were associated with a nearby airport, but the witness states that the lights were moving away from the airport and toward the Atlantic Ocean.

No specific location was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report; and no images or video were submitted.

US: Florida witness reports 'mysterious helicopters' leave without trace of sound

A Florida witness reports coming upon three helicopters in a triangle formation over a field near 11 p.m. on June 9, 2010, and several minutes later they were gone without a trace of sound, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Witness (MUFON) witness reporting database.

While the witness thought it was strange to see helicopters in this area - 20 miles from the nearest airport - the absence of sound just 3 minutes later is confusing.

"I got out of my truck which I had turned off and listened keenly for the 'chop' of the helicopter," the witness stated.

"I did not hear it. These mysterious helicopters were simply gone, and not heard. Out here in this area you can hear tires screeching on Interstate 4 which is some 4 miles away. I should have heard something."

The witness stated that the object was "about as high up in the air as a hospital helicopter would fly."

US: Round, metallic object follows US Airways jet across Arizona skies

An Arizona witness on a US Airways flight from Illinois July 21, 2010, observed a shiny, round, silver metallic object moving alongside the jet about 100 to 200 yards away, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The sighting lasted between 5 and 10 seconds.

"It moved across the sky just below the plane and off the right side moving in a straight line from the front of the plane to the rear along the right side of it," the witness reported.

"At first I thought another plane was flying by but, I quickly realized that was not another plane. It was a round ball shaped object."

The object appeared to be about the size of an SUV.

"Looking at the object I could not see any sheet metal or rivets or any other markings that might identify it. It just looked like one solid object. It looked like it could have been the approximate size of a vehicle. Perhaps the size of a SUV."

A Virginia man reported watching four bright lights in the sky with several secondary lights circling around them at 3:30 a.m. on July 18, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"The lights did not follow the background stars (i.e. rotation of the earth throughout the sighting)," the witness stated. "The lights moved in opposing directions and seemed to emit a bright searchlight-like beam from time to time."

No town name was provided in the public portion of the MUFON report, and no images or video were submitted.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Virginia MUFON State Director Susan Swiatek investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

US: Red orbs rise out of wooded area in Stahlstown, Pennsylvania

"They then floated in formation about 1,000 ft. (approx.) above and over my home (from North to Southwest)," the witness stated.

"They made no noise, no flashing lights, just huge, glowing red orbs (like the photo of the Illinois sighting on that same date). After they passed over the home silently, they seemed to go up into the atmosphere and they disappeared. I have never seen anything like this in my life! "

Stahlstown is a small unincorporated community in Cook Township, Westmoreland County, near the intersections of routes 711 and 130.
