October, 1978, was one of the most concentrated periods of U.F.O. sightings in Australian History.

The Frederick Valentich Encounter took place at this time and there were many witnesses to confirm the aspects of these events.

At 6.19 in the evening, Frederick Valentich flew his single-seater, Cessna 182 (designation DSJ) from Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne to King Island. He was in radio contact with the ground, and at 7.06 pm, he radioed an enquiry which was to be the start of a very extraordinary story.

He said, "Melbourne, this is Delta Sierra Juliet. Is there any known traffic below five thousand?"

Melbourne Flight Service reported that they had nothing on the radar.

Valentich reported a large aircraft with four bright lights, and a few seconds later he reported that the object had passed over him, "at least a thousand feet above".

A Major airport was forced to shut down to prevent packed passenger jets crashing into a UFO.

The "flat and tubular" object hovered two miles from Bootee in Inner Mongolia, a part of China.

Astonished officials say it then zoomed in to circle the airport before suddenly vanishing.

Three flights from Chinese cities Beijing and Shanghai were diverted to nearby airports.

It is the third mysterious UFO sighting this year to have resulted in Chinese airfields being closed.

Xiaoshan, in Zhejiang province, shut for a few days in July after an "oddly-shaped, twinkling bright light" was seen nearby. Another scare was reported earlier in the summer at Hong Kong.

The latest UFO was spotted by air traffic controllers in Inner Mongolia's capital Hoot on radar screens. But they could not make radio contact with it and immediately warned Bootee.


A spokeswoman said: "To guarantee security, aircraft had to land at secondary airports. Otherwise, it may have led to collision."

England: Vale residents report two separate UFO sightings

People across the Vale have reported several sightings of UFOs in the skies in the last few weeks.

The first came when Matthew Tandy, aged 13, reported seeing a UFO hovering over the Larkspur Drive area of Evesham on September 13.

The youngster, who goes to Prince Henry's High School, managed to take a picture of it on his phone before it whizzed off.

Dad, Mike Tandy, said: "Matthew came in and said he had seen something, so we asked him what he meant.

"He said the object he saw made no noise as it hovered in the sky, then it moved very quickly and was gone in a flash.

"I could not say either way as I didn't see it myself. Matthew knows what he saw and when he showed me the picture he took on his phone I could not explain it. I keep an open mind."

US: Group of Witnesses Spot UFOs over Indiana

On the evening of September 30, 2010, I was at Snider High School, filming the marching band for a video project I am working on. I was also with my friend.

It was around 7:11 PM, and as I was filming, a few of the band members point at something in the sky in the distance above the school to the west. The sun was setting in that direction. It was a fairly bright stationary object.

I got curious and decided to zoom in all the way on it. Let me also point out that I was using a Sony HandyCam DCR-SR42 camcorder with 40x optical zoom and 2000x digital zoom.

It was an object with 2 lights, and as I watched it the lights would flash green and red over and over. Since I was zoomed in all the way, the camera would shake with every tiny motion I took, so I decided to deploy the tripod I was using.

As I was messing with they tripod, I tried to draw up an explanation to what the object was, but I drew a blank. After my friend and I fumbled with the tripod, we lost sight of the object for just a few seconds until it finally reappeared in a different location in the sky.

I zoomed in again and it was the same object. After about a good minute or so, the object disappeared.

About 2 minutes later we saw another object, but this one I did not video tape, this object was in motion and was flying around in a smooth pattern, staying in the same part of the sky.

US: Cylinder-Shaped UFO Seen over Dallas, Texas with Two Airliners

This is my second time to report a sighting to MUFON. I observed this one from the exact same location as the first. Since the first sighting, I tend to keep my eyes to the sky a bit more. Today, it paid off again.

I was at work a little early, before 8:00 AM CST, and this morning looked to be stormy with the chance of some rain. The clouds were broken, and moving North, with about 60 to 70% broken overcast, and wind from the South about 20 MPH.

The clouds were very dark West of my location. Approximately 8:05, I stepped outside to take a look at the weather, and noticed that commercial flights from DFW and Love Field were being diverted to the North/Northeast around the heavy cloud bank to the West.

I saw a Southwest airlines plane going northeast, and an American Airlines going South toward Love Field or DFW.

Both planes were around 2500 to 3000 feet AGL. Both aircraft generated broken contrails due to the fairly cool air and high humidity.

Through a break in the clouds I observed a gray "cigar/cylindrical" shaped vehicle. Its path was to the northwest. It had no wings, or tail surfaces, and appeared to be about 2 to 3 times longer than the Southwest airlines plane.

An aluminium plate found during building work in Vladivostok has got scientists baffled - and could be evidence of aliens visiting Russia's Pacific coast.

Humans have been using aluminium for about a century, but the plate unearthed by Valery Dvuzhilny is 2,000 years old, he claims.

The artefact surfaced during preparatory work to build a new bridge in the far eastern city for the 2012 APEC summit.

Dvuzhilny, a marine scientist with a long-standing interest in the paranormal, found it as engineering work started.

"For years, I've been looking for cosmic matter in the rocks," Dvuzhilny, who also heads the local Cosmo-search bureau told Komsomolaskaya Pravda. "They carry not only the prints of plants and bones of extinct animals, but also...I hope that these are the material traces of extraterrestrial visits that might have occurred in the distant past millions of years ago."

In the last few hours reports are coming in via 'Twitter' as well as local Television broadcasts that a Triangular UFO has been observed by hundreds if not thousands of people in Tucson, Arizona this evening. News agencies are being overwhelmed with calls related to the sighting. A video of what's being said on television can be seen below. A similar sighting was reported by no less than 5 Police Officers in Lebanon USA not so long ago and a video pertaining to this can be seen too. Update - We're delighted to say that video footage of the craft has been located - it is the third video to be seen below - the craft DOES NOT maneuver in ways traditionally associated with aircraft. It can be clearly seen that it is triangular in nature and surely represents extra-terrestrial technology or a Military design and capability kept secret from the public. PS - Since publishing this article several reputable sources have come forward to suggest what was being witnessed was the TR-3B aircraft. A highly secret aircraft designed at the Skunk works in the USA. It is reputed to be the first nuclear powered aircraft in the world.

My husband noticed the bright 'star' at about 5:50 AM in a westerly direction from our bedroom. After deciding it couldn't be a helicopter, airplane or blimp, I decided to take notice.

I was surprised to see that what he was looking at was the same thing I had noticed the night before. It was the same bright lights in a southerly direction from our bedroom the night before, but quickly dismissed since I had a sighting a few months ago. I didn't want to know.

However, this time I couldn't resist watching in an attempt to 'figure it out.' I began to watch the triangular shaped object with one very prominent light that turned red, then back to white.

Description: My husband and I were outside at 10:10 PM CDT and we looked in the sky and saw a triangular shaped object just above the tree line. There were three lights at each point pulsating red, blue, green and white. We took a picture and what is shown on the film was not visible to the naked eye. We then came back out at 5:30 AM CDT and the object that we saw was gone, but when we looked to the left, another object of the same size was there. We have never experienced anything like this before - scary and exciting! Please zoom in to see the photo more clearly.
