Looking for a weird, interesting spot to take your out of town guests? Why not take a trip to the Winchester Mystery House?

Just off Interstate 280 in San Jose (about an hour drive from San Francisco) you'll find the former home of Sarah Winchester, widow of rifle tycoon William Wirt Winchester.

After the death of her only daughter in 1866, and her husband in 1881, Sarah consulted a psychic in Boston who said her family has been cursed by the spirits of people who met their demise at the wrong end of a Winchester rifle. She was told to move west, buy a house, start construction on the house, and never finish. The story goes that by doing this, Sarah would live forever, and keep the ghosts at bay.

So Sarah Winchester did just that. She was quite wealthy, and evidently quite crazy. Construction on the house lasted 38 years until the day she died in 1922.

It was like a scene from the latest Hollywood science fiction film - a mysterious and unidentifiable object seen flashing and darting across the Hampshire night sky.

As Deano Price, 30, lit a cigarette in the back garden of his dad's Lyndhurst home, something strange and alien caught his eye.

When he looked up to see what it was he was shocked to find a bright white light zipping across the horizon.

It comes as the latest comedy sci-fi adventure film Paul has filled cinemas across the south. The hit film follows two sci-fi geeks Simon Pegg and Nick Frost on a pilgrimage to America's UFO heartland where they accidentally meet funny alien Paul.

"I knew straight away it wasn't normal," said dad of one Deano.

Former Canadian defence minister accuses American government of UFO cover-up

Paul Hellyer: The ex-Canadian Minister of National Defense says he is convinced that UFOs are real and alleges the U.S. has covered up information on them
He says he'd get fired for his views if in office today - Claims U.S. military had weapons to use against UFOs and that aliens can help us learn about climate change

He is on an advisory body to the Queen, works as an environmental campaigner and is credited with integrating Canada's armed forces.

But aside from all this, the ex-Canadian defence minister says UFOs are real, aliens have visited Earth and the U.S. government is covering up information about them.

Paul Hellyer says he would probably get fired for his views if he was still Canada's Minister of National Defense today, but is adamant he has seen UFOs himself.

Not so fast because John has just published a new book about UFOs and extra-terrestrials that's bound to upset people. UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies and Realities also is en route to becoming a bestseller.

My longtime good friend Lee Spiegel, an AOL editor in New York, tipped me to the fact that the highly decorated officer had used his military savvy and high security clearance to spend a quarter of a century going through the top levels of the U.S. government and military searching for the group of people who were allegedly responsible for UFO information and the supposedly decades-old UFO cover-up. His conclusions: Not only is there no such group and no cover-up, but also disclosure about UFOs has already occurred on official levels.

Chicago - Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan, boasting his divine stature, on Sunday predicted trouble ahead for President Barack Obama and urged him to do more to improve the lives of blacks and the downtrodden.

The 76-year-old leader said the "white right" was conspiring to make Obama a one-term president, and pointed to his stalled efforts to introduce health care legislation as proof. He said those opponents and lobbyists were trapping him into a future war with Iran that could lead to mass destruction.

"The word 'prophet' is too cheap a word. I am a light in the midst of darkness," Farrakhan said at the annual convention of the movement that embraces black nationalism. "It ain't ego, it's my love for you."

An estimated 20,000 people attended the heavily guarded Saviours' Day event at the United Center in Chicago. Followers - men dressed in navy uniforms and women in white skirt suits with matching hijabs - cheered on Farrakhan with shouts of "Allahu Akbar," Arabic for "God is great."

The Nation of Islam, long known for its promotion of black nationalism and self-reliance, now is calling attention to another core belief that perhaps isn't so well-known: the existence of UFOs.

When thousands of followers gather in suburban Chicago this weekend for the group's annual Saviours' Day convention, one of the main events will include a panel of scientists discussing worldwide UFO sightings, which they claim are on the rise.

The idea of seeking the divine in the skies is deeply rooted in the Chicago-based Nation of Islam, whose late leader Elijah Muhammad detailed in speeches and writings a massive hovering object loaded with weapons he called "The Mother Plane" - although religion experts, Nation of Islam leaders and believers offer very different interpretations of what exactly happens aboard the plane, its role or how it fits into religious teachings.

Filmed off the coast of Brazil last September, this sequence of incredible footage appears to show some kind of transdimensional fireball arising from a spectacular atmospheric display of lights. We are beginning to get the idea that meteors and fireballs can do some pretty unexpected things...

Could there be a panther on the loose in Golborne?
Police are investigating a series of animal mutilations, which could be the work of a panther.

The partially-eaten bodies of three adult swans and two dead lambs were found at Three Sisters Recreation Area on Golborne Road, Golborne, and at an adjoining farm.

The discovery comes a fortnight after at number of civil servants from the DWP's benefits call centre at nearby Griffin House, in Bryn, told of seeing a panther-like animal sunning itself in a tree, and on the roof of a building from their office windows.

Police today would not comment directly on the claims that a potentially dangerous wild animal is stalking the site.

Northern California Man Claims Bigfoot Hair Samples

A man from Gasquet, California claims that three years ago Bigfoot came and trampled through his property, stealing some of his peacocks and leaving behind some hair samples that could in fact prove the existence of the elusive creature we've come to know and love as Bigfoot. Kirk Stewart says that he woke up the morning after the night in question to find his fence trampled and his peacock pen broken into, one part literally peeled off. Peacock feathers were found as high as a tree branch 7 feet in the air!

Since that night, he's been waiting for the analysis to come through. Before finding the hairs, he thought it might have been a bear that made its way through his property and caused all the damage, but after finding the feathers so high up as well as the hairs, he knew it was something else amazing and handed over the hair samples to NABS (North America Bigfoot Search) who did verify that the hairs matched those of a primate and are now waiting on final analysis to determine what the creature is. The forensics team working on the sample say that it's a very complex job to identify it since all they know right now is that it comes from a primate genus but have to first compare it to all other known primates to eliminate them first before they can classify it as a new or unknown species.

An east Vancouver neighbor captured video of what appears to be a blinking object Sunday hovering in Sunday's night sky.

Video shot by KGW viewer Sandy Curtis shows blinking red and green lights in the dark.

Tweets and an email to KGW also referenced sightings of an unidentified object in the sky over Vancouver.
