Italian PM, Meloni faces ICC case over complicity in genocide

Two of Georgia Meloni's ministers and the CEO of a major weapons manufacturer have also been reported to the court, the prime minister herself has revealed

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni revealed on Tuesday that she and two of her ministers have been reported to the International Criminal Court for alleged complicity in genocide in Gaza.

Meloni said the complaint also targeted Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, and Roberto Cingolani, the CEO of Italian defense firm Leonardo.

"I don't think there's any other case in the world, in history even, of such a charge being made," she said during the talk show Porta a Porta, without providing details about who had brought the case.

Comment: The death toll of 66,000 is extremely low and the death toll is likely closer to a million.

Germany's Munich airport reopened Saturday morning after it was abruptly shut down for the second time in less than 24 hours over drone sightings - as fears heighten that Russia's war in Ukraine could soon spread to other parts of Europe.

Air traffic control first suspended operations late Thursday night, canceling 17 flights and disrupting travel for nearly 3,000 passengers, who were given camp beds, blankets and food to pass the night.

"Our police must get the power to shoot drones down," Markus Soeder, premier of Bavaria, wrote on X Thursday, promising to pass emergency legislation to secure German airspace.

"We need sovereignty over our airspace."

Doctors at a gender clinic in California doled out puberty blockers to kids as young as 9 — despite reportedly admitting behind the scenes that some research backing gender-affirming care for children was "shoddy."

The revelations were laid bare in a trove of emails from top doctors at the University of California San Francisco's Child and Adolescent Gender Center, which were recently obtained by The Daily Caller as part of a Freedom of Information lawsuit.

The cache of emails from UCSF medical directors, Maddie Deutsch and Stephen Rosenthal, which were among the 2,491 pages of records turned over, included an admission that a 9-year-old child had previously been given puberty blockers.

Zimbabwean survivors of John Smyth launch legal claim against Church of England for abuse

Seven Zimbabwean victims of British evangelist and sexual abuser John Smyth have launched a legal claim against the Church of England, alleging that senior clergy orchestrated a cover-up that allowed him to continue abusing boys in Africa, possibly in South Africa.

The group, represented by UK law firm Leigh Day, includes six men who were abused as teenagers at Christian holiday camps Smyth ran in Zimbabwe, and the mother of Guide Nyachuru, a 16-year-old boy whose body was found in a swimming pool at one of Smyth's camps in 1992.

Their claim argues that the Church of England's failure to report Smyth's known abuse in Britain between 1982 and 1984 directly led to his relocation to Zimbabwe — and later South Africa — where he continued to prey on vulnerable boys. The victims say there is a direct line between the Church's inaction in the UK and the horrors that unfolded in Africa.

Five people have been detained following an alleged assassination attempt on Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, Energy Minister Ines Manzano announced on Tuesday. Noboa has faced protests over reforms which critics claim harm the country's indigenous people.

The incident occurred when Noboa's car was surrounded by around 500 protesters as he arrived in the south-central province of Canar - home to a large indigenous community - to unveil new infrastructure projects on water treatment and sewage. Footage released by the presidency and videos posted online show protesters hurling stones at the convoy, cracking the windows.

Manzano told reporters that Noboa's car was badly damaged and police later found bullet marks on the exterior. The president was unharmed, but the minister said she has filed an official report of an "assassination attempt." Five suspects have been detained in connection with the attack.

Well, duh: Study by pro-migration group finds Americans benefit from less migration

Keeping migration low is the best way to raise Americans' prosperity, says a study funded by the leading lobby group for investors who want mass migration.

"At medium and low immigration levels, labor-based [skilled professional] immigration, characterized by fewer but more skilled population, produces higher GDP [Gross Domestic Product] per capita [emphasis added] growth," compared to mass inflow of migrants and their extended families, says the September study by Springer, titled "Demographic and Economic Implications of Alternative U.S. Immigration Policies."

"That should be a no-brainer because we know we could annex Mexico and our GDP would be enormously higher, but our per capita income would drop," said Rosemary Jenks, cofounder of the Immigration Accountability Project. "That's just 'Duh!'"

State prosecutors in Texas seek to make anti-Israel graffiti a hate crime

Two activists in Texas are facing hate crime charges for graffiti criticizing Israel. Their lawyers say these cases represent extreme government overreach and could set a dangerous precedent for Palestine activists nationwide.

In early March 2024, Raunaq Alam, 32, Afsheen Khan, 23, and Julia Venzor, 26, vandalized Uncommon Church in Hurst, Texas, a nondenominational Christian place of worship. The associated graffiti, reading "Fuck Israel" with three down turned red triangles, was left along with stickers with a secure layer of spray adhesive on the church's flagpole. An Israeli flag waved from the top of the flagpole and was visible from the main road.

The vandalism was done in protest, as the church is an outspoken supporter of both Israel and the Israeli military. Now referred to as the "Tarrant Three" by fellow organizers, Khan's court case is due to start soon, where she is facing hate crime and criminal mischief charges with a possible sentence of 10 years in prison.

Best of the Web: The End Of Woke Capitalism

The moment the cultural tide turned against the Left.
"At the physical level, we are witnessing a war of structures,
on the meta-physical level, a battle of pendulums." — Vadim Zeland
The egregore of far-Left radicalism is wounded - but what will take it's place?

Within the space of a few days over the second week of September, the world looked on in horror as a pair of unspeakably horrific crimes were committed; by now it's likely everyone knows what I'm referring to.

I'm talking, of course, about the stabbing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a North Carolina transit train - and the all-too-public assassination of Charlie Kirk, at a campus event in Utah.

The images from both events were horrific and circulated widely, there is no need to show them again here - but this "one-two" punch in my mind was the definitive knock-out blow to the far-left domination of our cultural zeitgeist.

Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for attorney general of Virginia, faced condemnation from Republicans and Democrats on Friday after text messages from 2022 resurfaced in which he said he would "piss on graves" of GOP opponents and mused about hypothetically shooting then-Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert.

In a text message exchange with Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner, Jones used violent and inflammatory language, writing that if he were presented with a hypothetical situation in which he had only two bullets and was faced with the choice of shooting Gilbert, former Nazi leader Adolf Hitler or former Cambodia dictator Pol Pot, he'd shoot Gilbert "every time," prompting pushback from his former colleague.

"Gilbert gets two bullets to the head," Jones wrote. "Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time."

Gilbert could not be reached for comment.

Comment: How has the Democrat party not immediately removed such a deranged individual from their Virginia ticket?

Tradition against corruption: Why Putin's message matters for the entire world

Woke parade
In his recent Valdai speech, President Vladimir Putin declared that the age of a single model for all has ended, and that nations now moor themselves in their own traditions, drawing strength from culture, faith, and history. Across the globe, ancestral values are reawakening as globalism and cultural imperialism are receding. The world is witnessing a rising concert of sovereign civilizations.

Putin spoke with clarity about the condition of the world. He stated that there is no shared agreement on how the international order should be structured. Mankind has begun a long era of searching. The path forward will be marked by trial and error, by turbulence and storms. No blueprint exists. No authority dictates the outcome. We live in open history, raw and uncertain.
