Etowah County Sheriff's spokeswoman Natalie Barton tells news outlets 27-year-old Caleb Moore surrendered Monday on a charge of third-degree criminal trespass. He was accused of hunting without permission and hunting over bait last year.

Barton says Caleb Moore was released on $1,000 bond.

Postmortem findings reveal convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez had severe brain damage from sports-related head injuries

© Matt WestAnn McKee, MD, director of the BU CTE Center and chief of neuropathology for the VA Boston Healthcare System, discusses the pathological findings from the postmortem study of the brain of Aaron Hernandez.
Former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez had severe damage to his brain from sports-related head injuries that are known to impede decision-making and cause aggression, said a Boston University researcher who announced the pathology results today.

"In any individual, we can't take the pathology and explain the behavior," said Dr. Ann McKee director of the Boston University Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center and chief of neuropathology for the VA Boston Healthcare System. "But we can say collectively, in our collective experience, that individuals with CTE and CTE of this severity have difficulty with impulse control, decision making, inhibition or impulses or aggression, often emotional volatility and rage behavior."

McKee presented the post-mortem study this afternoon, with images of the former player's brain that showed extreme tissue loss with evidence of "microbleeds" associated with head trauma.

"These are very unusual findings for someone so young," she said, noting other brains with similar damage came from men at least 20 years older.

The BU center has pioneered the study of NFL players' brains, finding severe damage caused by repeated concussions.

Hernandez, 27, committed suicide earlier this year in his Massachusetts prison cell, where he was serving a life sentence for murder. Days before, he had been acquitted of two other murders. Lawyers for his estate have contended he suffered brain damage during his time playing football.

Fruits of Postmodern thinking: Controversial libtard professor blames Texas church shooting on 'whiteness'

Controversial Drexel University professor George Ciccariello-Maher argued that the recent Texas church shooting was caused by "whiteness."

Drexel professor George Ciccariello-Maher, who is currently banned from campus for incendiary comments he made following the Las Vegas massacre, argued in a radio interview that "whiteness" is to blame for the recent Texas church shooting. In the radio interview, Ciccariello-Maher explicitly blamed Breitbart News' reporting on his Las Vegas comments for Drexel's decision to ban him from campus. During the ban, Ciccariello-Maher is teaching classes online.

"You know, Trump makes hay out of the fact that white men, in particular, feel as though they're the victims of this society, despite being in absolute control of it," he said during his interview. "And this is something that is powerfully dangerous, and it's why we're not seeing only the rise in violent attacks, more generally, and the rise of far-right movements, but we're certainly seeing, you know, clearly, sort of some very serious incidents of mass violence, as well."

Comment: Watch the following video, which is an interview with Jordan Peterson who is breaking down the thinking of the professor and why there is such a surge in applying simple ideological formulas to all forms of complex behavior. He describes that kind of thinking as a transformation of Marxism into identity politics because it requires almost no intellectual effort and leaves one with an overwhelming sense of moral superiority. Peterson also comments on the recent ridiculous behavior of liberals who took to the streets to scream into the night on the anniversary of Trump's election.

Stocks slump in response the Senate's tax plan delay

The stock market is the closest thing America has to an instant gauge on economic news. Even if it is an often fickle judge, the stock market bears watching when economically relevant news breaks.

Stocks fell sharply on Thursday after the Washington Postreported that the Senate Republican tax plan would delay the cut in the corporate tax rate until 2019. While some in the Senate have objected to the delay, they were overruled by Senate Republican leaders, the Post reported.

Las Vegas: Self-driving shuttle bus gets rammed by a truck during its first hour of operation

Las Vegas' self-driving shuttle service marked its return by getting into a minor collision, according to local NBC station KSNV News 3. French startup Navya's autonomous electric vehicle shuffles at around 15 MPH on a 0.6 mile circuit in the downtown Fremont East district. But, just an hour into its year-long trial (which follows a successful stint in January) the shuttle was hit by a delivery truck that was backing up.

None of the eight passengers aboard the driverless vehicle suffered injuries and neither did the truck driver. Instead, the front bumper of the shuttle took the brunt of the damage. A spokesperson for AAA, which is sponsoring the latest pilot program, said on Twitter that the accident was due to "human error" on the part of the truck driver.

HMP horror! Prison footage reveals inmates running out of control with drugs, phones and 'fight clubs'

Disturbing videos of life inside Britain's prisons have emerged showing inmates fighting, taking drugs, and carrying out degrading tasks to obtain contraband. Strikingly, the footage is captured on mobile phones and then proudly uploaded to social media.

Prisoners appear to be out of control, smuggling drugs in and out of prison and smoking 'spice' in their cells. Bare-knuckle boxing matches are held inside bathrooms and common areas with no sign of any guards, the footage shows.

Under-funded prisons, where staff are crying out for recruitment of new officers, appear to be dangerous, un-policed, funhouses where lags are making a mockery of the British justice system.

Prisons featured in the videos include Category C men's prison HMP Wealstun in North Yorkshire, as well as HMP Nottingham and a prison in Merseyside.

An Italian priest has prompted outrage by posting a message on Facebook telling a girl who had been raped it was her fault for getting drunk and hanging around with migrants. The priest's private message was leaked and soon went viral.

A priest in the Italian city of Bologna has been forced to apologize after telling an under-age girl who was raped that she deserved it.

Lorenzo Guidotti posted a long rant on Facebook in which he blamed the girl for hanging around with migrants and getting drunk.

"Sweetie, I'm sorry, but... you get revoltingly drunk... and then who do you go off with? A North African?" the priest wrote in the Facebook post. "I'm sorry but if you swim in the piranha tank you cannot complain if you lose a limb," he wrote.

Republican lawmakers introduced a bill to reduce the legal minimum drinking age in the state from 21 to 19 in an attempt to curb binge drinking in young adults while freeing up law enforcement resources.

Representatives Adam Jarchow, Cindi Duchow and Rob Swearingen introduced and sponsored the bill and hope to spare law enforcement "countless hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars" wasted enforcing drinking laws on young adults. "Those efforts could be used for other important issues such as drug abuse and sexual assaults," he said, as cited by WGN9. The age of 19 was chosen to deter high schoolers from drinking.

It's important to note that Swearingen is a former president of the Tavern League of Wisconsin, a lobby group of alcohol retailers.

"I see no reason why we can send young men and women off to war but they can't have a beer," Jarchow, the bill's author, told WMTV. "The idea is if you prohibit people doing something until they are 21, the natural inclination is to be a little bit rebellious when they're young, (and) then to overindulge."

Jerusalem rabbinical court approves divorce deal preventing woman from filing rape charges

A women's rights group wants three Jerusalem rabbinical court judges to be investigated after they arranged a divorce which prevented a woman from filing rape charges against her ex-husband.

The case involves a Jewish couple who were married for five years and divorced in February 2016. The woman alleged during the process that her husband was violent towards her and their two children, and that he had raped her. The husband denied the allegations.

The rabbinical court ultimately determined there wasn't enough evidence to support the woman's claims. Still, the husband insisted as part of the divorce settlement that the wife would agree not to file a complaint to police about the claims, which the court officially referred to as "events of the past."

The woman said she agreed to the deal after being pressured to do so by the three judges, the Jerusalem Post reported. She feared that she would be denied a divorce by her husband if she did not consent to the agreement.
