Pathetic George Takei blames 'Russian bots' for spread of sexual assault allegations against him, gets roasted on Twitter

takei
Hollywood actor George Takei has blamed the spread of sexual assault allegations against him on Russian bots.

"A friend sent me this. It is a chart of what Russian bots have been doing to amplify stories containing the allegations against me," Takei posted on Twitter, along with a picture of a trending topics chart featuring his name at the top. "It's clear they want to cow me into silence, but do not fear, friends. I won't succumb to that."

"By way of background, when I criticized Putin's anti-LGBT policies publicly, Russian bots attacked my [Facebook] page relentlessly, and we had to develop special security measures and ban all traffic from within the Russian Federation and the Ukraine," he added in another post. "I am accustomed to their practices."

Takei, a prominent anti-Trump, left-wing activist, has since deleted the posts.

Comment: Twitter users have rightfully roasted Takei for his nonsensical 'Russian bots' rationale:

There are many more users blasting him on Twitter. Also, it was only last month that Takei went on the Howard Stern show where he referenced "grabbing other men" to persuade them into having sex:

From The Hollywood Reporter:
Takei, a staunch opponent of the Republican president, initially was silent, then said "uh oh" and laughed. Stern asked again and Takei said, "Some people are kind of skittish, or maybe, um, uh, afraid, and you're trying to persuade."

Stern and his co-host, Robin Quivers, persisted, asking Takei whether he ever held a job over somebody for sex and he said no.

Quivers asked if he did "this grabbing at work." Takei said, "It was either in my home. They came to my home."
Takei responded to the criticism that came after the Howard Stern interview went viral by giving a rather pathetic excuse: that when he's on the Howard Stern show, he plays a "caricature of a naughty gay grandpa", as if that is actually a real thing and not something he made up out of thin air. Clearly Takei's liberal brain has deteriorated beyond a point where logic and rational thought are still in control.

A game of "trust" took a deadly turn for an Australian diplomat, who plunged to his death from his Manhattan balcony early Wednesday during a night of boozing with friends and his wife, police sources said.

Julian Simpson, 30, fell from the seventh floor to a second-floor landing at the Clinton Street building where he lived on the Lower East Side around 1:35 a.m., the sources said.

Simpson was playing a "trust game" with a male pal when he accidentally took the fatal fall, a source said.

"I will prove it that you can trust me. Let's play the trust game," Simpson said to the 24-year-old man just moments before he slipped and fell, sources said.

A mystery man who left flowers at a 12-year-old boy scout's grave for nearly 70 years has been revealed to be a childhood friend who was with him just before he died.

Ronald Seymour-Westborough, 84, has been visiting the grave of Karl Sharp, who died in 1947 on a Scouting trip, since he was 18 years-old. He had been on the same trip and shared a tent with him on the night he died.

Karl's sister Ann Kear has been trying to find out who the person who still remembered her brother is for several years after noticing flowers and poems left at his final resting place near Cheltenham.

She told the BBC it was "brilliant" to discover who was responsible it was Mr Seymour-Westborough from Gloucester.

Cop caught on video THREE times killing & beating unarmed & innocent people, city foots the bill and he keeps his job

Austin Police officer
Last week, the taxpayers of Austin, Texas were forced-for their third time-to pay for the violent actions of officer Eric Copeland of the APD. City council members approved a six-figure settlement to be given to one of many of Copeland's victims.

This officer's abuse is so rampant that it has been captured on video a whopping three times. The latest case, which cost the taxpayers $150,000, stems from the arrest of Adrian Aguado, 20, who Copeland tasered for no reason and broke his nose.

A pedophile dwarf who groomed two minors through Facebook has avoided going to prison because he would have a "very hard time." Bryan Anthony Bowen, 26, had asked the girls for naked photos and sex.

Bowen, of Welshpool, Powys, contacted the children, aged 13 and 15, online. In one message to the older girl, he wrote: "I will f*** you for your birthday present," Mold Crown Court heard. When police searched his laptop, they found he had told the 13-year old that she was "fit as f***."

Edward Herman, co-author of Manufacturing Consent dead at 92

Manufacturing Consent Edward Hermann
Edward Herman, the co-author (with Noam Chomsky) of Manufacturing Consent, has died. He was 92. His work has never been more relevant.

Manufacturing Consent was a kind of bible of media criticism for a generation of dissident thinkers. The book described with great clarity how the system of private commercial media in America cooperates with state power to generate propaganda.

20 years too late, Vox columnist admits Bill Clinton should have resigned over sex scandals

The Democrats aimed at Roy Moore, but Bill Clinton was standing in their way.

So Bill Clinton is now a smoldering husk of humanity.

After Hillary Clinton's presidential loss, it became both convenient and useful to discard her alleged sexual predator spouse - a man the media feted repeatedly last year as a halcyon of decency. Now, Bill could safely be relegated to the semen-stained ashbin of history.

And so Bill Clinton has become the Barry Bonds of politics: a once-celebrated superhero, now disgraced. This week, a New York Times columnist said she believed Juanita Broaddrick, who first accused Clinton of rape some 25 years ago; The Atlantic also ran a better think piece talking about Clinton's status as a suspected predator.

'The Atlantic' commits journalistic malpractice by selectively editing WikiLeaks DMs

Tweet Assange Trump Jr.
Everyone was buzzing about the shocking, bombshell new report by The Atlantic yesterday, which revealed that Donald Trump Jr. and the WikiLeaks Twitter account had engaged in a "largely one-sided" conversation in private messages over the course of several months.

Don Jr. actually comes off looking fairly normal in the report, while WikiLeaks comes off looking weird and sleazy in a way that will likely damage its reputation even further than the mainstream media campaign to smear the outlet already has. WikiLeaks is seen asking for favors Trump never fulfilled, making recommendations Trump Jr. didn't act upon, and asking for leaks Trump Jr. never gave them, which when you step back and think about it are actually fairly normal things for a leak outlet to do, all things considered. But the following passage from the Atlantic report makes the whole thing look far darker:
It is the third reason, though, Wikileaks wrote, that "is the real kicker." "If we publish them it will dramatically improve the perception of our impartiality," Wikileaks explained. "That means that the vast amount of stuff that we are publishing on Clinton will have much higher impact, because it won't be perceived as coming from a 'pro-Trump' 'pro-Russia' source."

Monsanto sues California over glyphosate cancer warnings

Agrochemical giant Monsanto and US farm groups are suing California to stop the state from issuing cancer warnings on the company's herbicide glyphosate, which farmers use on genetically engineered crops.

California has added glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto's herbicide Roundup, to a list of cancer-causing chemicals. The state acted after the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) recently ruled glyphosate a carcinogen. IARC said that along with other Monsanto chemicals Roundup could cause Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, autism, and cancer.

In the lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in California, Monsanto and groups representing corn, soy, and wheat farmers rejected that glyphosate causes cancer. They said the state's requirement for warnings would force sellers of products containing the chemical to spread false information.

"Such warnings would equate to compelled false speech, directly violate the First Amendment, and generate unwarranted public concern and confusion," Monsanto's Vice President of global strategy Scott Partridge said in a statement.
