The collective West has tried to thwart Russia's World Youth Festival 2024 (WYF), yet the event has proven to be extremely popular, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

The international event is currently underway in the Russian town of Sirius, located near the Black Sea resort city of Sochi. Zakharova spoke about it in an interview with TASS on Tuesday, saying that the gathering clearly showed "the youth of the world have made their choice."

"As for the [attempts] to meddle... of course, Western countries did everything they could. As they do in sports, as they do in culture, they do the same in the field of humanitarian ties," she stated.

"Arresting illegal aliens who crash the border...illegally...is deemed 'anti-immigrant' by Arizona Gov Katie 'Veto' Hobbs," the BPU wrote. "Let that sink in for a moment."

On Monday, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed SB1231, a bill that would have criminalized illegal border crossings in the state, labeling it "anti-immigrant legislation."

Her decision was criticized by the Border Patrol Union, which represents thousands of agents who are dealing with the crisis firsthand.

"Arresting illegal aliens who crash the border...illegally...is deemed 'anti-immigrant' by Arizona Gov Katie 'Veto' Hobbs," the BPU wrote. "Let that sink in for a moment."

"Politicians will not expel likely future voters," Elon Musk replied. "Just a matter of incentives."

A British-registered freighter has sunk in the Red Sea after the crew were forced to abandon ship following an attack by Yemeni Houti rebels.

The Cargo ship Rubymar, which was abandoned in the southern Red Sea after being targeted by Yemen's Houthis on February 18, has sunk, a statement by the internationally recognised Yemeni government said on Saturday.

The attack occurred in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, 35 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen, on Sunday night, the UK's Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said, against a vessel that was later identified as the Rubymar.

The crew of the British-registered cargo ship, which comes in at 171.6m long and 27m wide, was forced to 'abandon the vessel' following the attack, though the UKMTO said yesterday that all crew are safe and 'authorities are investigating.'

Comment: Let it be noted that not one person has lost their life as a result of the Houthi's actions. The strikes have been precise, only against those targets which were previously announced, and care taken to avoid casualties. Can the West make the same claims?

Video footage posted on Twitter shows two pro-Palestine protesters approaching Ocasio-Cortez in what was allegedly a Brooklyn movie theater Monday evening. The two activists claimed that she has not called the attacks within the Israel-Hamas war a "genocide" of the Palestinian people.

40% of Germans mistrust mainstream media, cite fake news as a concern - study

A recent study conducted by the Bertelsmann Foundation has revealed that 40% of respondents in Germany harbor distrust toward German media and journalists, attributing concerns to the spread of fake news.

With a participation of 5000 respondents, the study indicated a significant skepticism among the German populace regarding media credibility. Nearly half of the participants expressed uncertainty regarding the truthfulness of information found on the internet, while one in three claimed to have encountered misinformation in recent publications.

Foreign governments were identified as the main culprits behind fake news by 53% of respondents, while 50% pointed fingers at domestic politicians. Additionally, 34% of participants held the government of the Federal Republic of Germany accountable for disseminating false information.

Comment: It's in part thanks to social media that the endless and brazen lies of the legacy media have been exposed, and it's why most governments are preparing, or already have, laws to censor it. It's also in part because the legacy media has now diverged so far from reality that even the most reluctant people are forced to admit that the official narrative on most issues just isn't supported by lived experience and basic reasoning. One issue in particular is the dire economic situation, which the average person, try as they might, realises that they're ignoring at their own peril.

The German parliament passed a marijuana decriminalization bill on Friday, setting up the country to eventually authorize legal sales to adults.

The legislation, part of an agreement by the country's three-party coalition government, would legalize cannabis possession and home cultivation for adults and allow non-profit cannabis clubs to supply consumers.

"That's the way that works. Away from punishment. Away from taboo. We have to face up to the problems," German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said before the law was adopted on Friday afternoon.

The death earlier this month of Foremost Group CEO Angela Chao, the sister-in-law of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, is currently under "criminal investigation," a Texas sheriff's office said Thursday.

Chao, 50, was found dead shortly after midnight on Feb. 11 after being pulled out of a car that had gone into a pond on a private ranch in Johnson City, Texas, about 40 miles from Austin.

"This incident was not a typical accident," the Blanco County Sheriff's Office wrote in a letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday.

"Although the preliminary investigation indicated this was an unfortunate accident, the Sheriff's Office is still investigating this accident as a criminal matter until they have sufficient evidence to rule out criminal activity," the letter said.

Nikopol has renamed one of its streets after Pyotr Dyachenko, an officer of the Ukrainian Waffen SS Division 'Galizien', the head of Ukraine's Jewish community said on Monday.

Eduard Dolinsky, director of the United Jewish Committee of Ukraine, lamented the move by the city authorities both on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), pointing out that Dyachenko was the recipient of one of Nazi Germany's highest decorations, the Iron Cross.

"The Nikopol City Council has renamed Pavlograd Street in honor of the Nazi war criminal, accomplice in the Holocaust, performer of punitive actions against civilians, commander of the 31st Schutzmannschaft battalion, head of collaborationist units within the Wehrmacht and the SS Galizien division, Pyotr Dyachenko," Dolinsky wrote.

Comment: Mayor Sayuk knows right well of Dyachenko's past, as it is precisely because of his past that he is revered by Ukraine. Sayuk's remark about not being a historian contains the lingering sentiment used by the pathocracy that one must be an expert to understand simple things, i.e. only a biologist can know what a woman is.

Allowing illegal migrants into the US military as a means of granting them citizenship will lead the country towards inevitable collapse, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.

In the clip, Carlson recalled the fall of the Roman Empire, stating that while historians have long debated the reasons for the collapse of one of history's most powerful empires, one fact has been "pretty obvious."

Comment: This on top of Elon Musk's latest pronouncement of "something far worse than 9/11" on the horizon given the massive influx of migrants across the border. Apparently it's not enough to have a completely porous border, the current administration also wants the illegals armed.
