$100 million in Palisades disaster relief disappeared into Democratic Party's NGO black holes

Investigative journalist Sue Pascoe of Circling The News dropped a bombshell: $100 million raised during the celebrity-packed FireAid benefit concert may have disappeared. The money was initially intended to support homeless residents of Pacific Palisades after a devastating wildfire destroyed thousands of homes. Instead, Pascoe reports the funds were funneled through a complex web of NGOs - potentially diverted toward unrelated causes.

"So I looked at the initially they gave $50 million to about 120 nonprofits. And I looked at these nonprofits and one of them said, we help mobile home parks. And there are two mobile home parks in the Palisades. And so I contacted the people there. They had never received any money. They had never heard of that," Pascoe told Fox 11 Los Angeles during the interview.

US taxpayers lost $10B on failed Green USPS initiative

The US government wasted $10 billion in public funds attempting to transform the US Postal Service (USPS) into a battery-powered service. Out of the 60,000 purchased EV Next Generation Delivery Vehicles (NGDVs) only 250 have been created. House Republicans are now attempting to rescue any remaining funds from this failed green initiative.

The project was set for completion by September 2028. The funding for this failed conversion came from the largest spending package in American history — the Inflation Reduction Act — the trojan horse to usher in a wave of climate initiatives. The American people never voted on the Inflation Reduction Act. The American people never voted to transform the USPS into a green-friendly operation. And yet, the American people are forced to pay the bill.

"Biden's multi-billion-dollar EV fleet for the USPS is lost in the mail, and more than $1 billion is postmarked to order more," Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) told The Post. "I am working to cancel the order and return the money to the sender, the American people. The rescissions package is a great start, but Congress must keep its foot on the pedal and make DOGE a lifestyle by stamping out waste like this on a regular basis."

Best of the Web: Where does the CDC's pervasive dishonesty come from?

A window is finally emerging to reverse this unstoppable tide of corruption

One of my major questions throughout life has been whether the bad things that happen around us are a result of a secretive group of bad actors (e.g., an organized conspiracy) or are simply a naturally emergent phenomenon that would occur regardless of which group was in power behind the scenes. The reason this is fundamentally a difficult question to answer is that in most cases, a compelling argument can be made for each, so ultimately, the interpretation you choose comes down to your own biases. In my own case, I still am not sure which is at play.

For instance, I frequently see policies be enacted in a coordinated fashion that lead to a clear outcome, and then watch as the years play out, that every institution works in unison to ensure that outcome comes to pass, and as such, when I see the opening moves, I tend to assume the ultimate outcome will follow (which, for example, is why I knew there would be vaccine mandates at the start of 2021).

Over 100 British spies and commandos exposed in data leak

The breach and the government's response to it are projected to cost up to £7 billion.

The identities of more than 100 MI6 spies, British special forces operatives and other military personnel were compromised in a massive data breach which was subsequently covered up, multiple media organizations reported on Thursday.

The fallout from the massive British Defense Ministry Afghanistan leak was kept from public view under a court-imposed superinjunction for years. That gag order was lifted Tuesday by a High Court judge, allowing the media to report on the incident.

Days later, several news outlets revealed that UK military and intelligence personnel were among those exposed.

The names of more than 100 British officials were in the leaked data, including members of MI6 and special forces, the BBC admitted on Thursday.

Revolting: Ukrainian mayor wants to trade 'Putin's body'

Ukraine is ready to exchange the remains of hundreds of Soviet army soldiers - including a namesake of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin - unearthed during the dismantling of a World War II memorial in the city of Lviv, for captured Ukrainian servicemen, Mayor Andrey Sadovy has claimed.

Following a Western-backed coup in 2014, Kiev launched a policy of "decommunization," erasing Soviet-era heritage while glorifying those who opposed Russia for any reason, including nationalist militias that collaborated with Nazi Germany and committed atrocities during WWII.

"The Hill of Glory from the Soviet occupation period in Lviv no longer exists," Sadovy wrote on Telegram on Wednesday, claiming that the final 355 sets of remains were exhumed with all due "respect to memory."

"We are ready to trade all these remains for Ukrainian defenders," he said, referring to soldiers captured by Russia in the current conflict between the two countries. He also mocked the fact that one of the fallen soldiers, Major Stepan Putin, shared a surname with the current Russian president.

Like everything else, protests in the US are a business

Protest

An activist group's CEO claims he was offered millions of dollars to recruit protesters for anti-Trump demonstrations.

It should come as no surprise, but the next time you see a protest popping up in cities across America, there is a chance it is not as spontaneous and homegrown as it seems. In fact, many of the young, rebellious faces in the crowd are paid actors content to earn a paycheck on behalf of very wealthy individuals who are committed to artificially manipulating the US political system.

Enter Adam Swart, the CEO and founder of Crowds on Demand (CoD), whose website details a long list of services it provides to give any political movement the booster rockets it needs to get off the ground. The website boldly declares:
"If you need to hire protesters, we can get a crowd on the street, sometimes within 24 hours time. If you need speakers to present at a council meeting, we can provide talented and well-spoken individuals to advocate for the cause. We also have a dedicated team of phone-banking staff who can call Congressional Offices and convince government officials to support your cause and help you overcome opposition. If you need lots of letters and emails written from constituents, we have a network of tens of thousands of individuals across the country who can send well-written constituent letters to their representatives.

"We are the ultimate guerilla lobbying and government relations firm."
Swart was forthcoming with the information that his publicity firm was offered a lucrative contract to assist in a Democrat-backed astroturfing effort.

Netanyahu tells Trump it was a 'mistake,' White House says

Pope Leo XIV expressed sadness and called for a ceasefire after Gaza's only Catholic church was hit in an apparent Israeli strike, leaving at least two dead and several injured. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later said in a statement that "stray ammunition" hit the church.

Comment: Dunno. Looks like pretty deliberate aiming from here.

"His Holiness Pope Leo XIV was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack on the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza, and he assures the parish priest, Father Gabriele Romanelli, and the whole parish community of his spiritual closeness," read a telegram sent by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin on behalf of the pope.

Parolin added that the pope "renews his call for an immediate ceasefire, and he expresses his profound hope for dialogue, reconciliation and enduring peace in the region."

Records show DEI standards were used to pressure law schools to adopt racist practices

American bar association building
The ABA in Washington, D.C.
FOIA requests show top public universities were dinged by American Bar Association accreditor for not engaging in unlawful discrimination, conservative watchdog says, calling for legislation. ABA monopoly at risk.

Already under scrutiny from the Trump administration and Republican-led states for its law school accreditation standards and political activism, and recently losing its role in vetting judicial nominees, the American Bar Association's monopoly on legal education looks even more tenuous after dozens of schools shared their "accreditation visit reports."

The Pacific Legal Foundation said it obtained the reports, spanning 2014 to 2023, under the Freedom of Information Act from 45 of the 50 "best public law schools" in U.S. News and World Report rankings.

They "demonstrate the prevalence of hiring and admissions preferences" on the basis of race and sex in violation of Title VI and Title IX of the Civil Rights Act.

Slovenia announced on Thursday that it would ban two far-right Israeli ministers from entering, in what authorities said was a first in the European Union.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich will be declared "persona non grata," the Slovenian government said in a statement, accusing them of inciting "extreme violence and serious violations of the human rights of Palestinians" with "their genocidal statements".

"This is the first measure of this nature in the EU," Slovenia's Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon said of the ban.

In June, Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand and Norway imposed similar sanctions on Smotrich and Ben Gvir, key coalition partners in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.

U.S. calls on Israel to investigate killing of Palestinian-American young man by Israeli settlers

The Trump administration is calling on Israel to investigate the killing of Sayfollah Musallet, but Israel rarely holds soldiers or settlers accountable for violence against Palestinians.

The Trump administration is calling on Israel to probe the killing of Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old, Florida-born Palestinian American citizen who was beaten to death by settlers in the illegally occupied West Bank while visiting family.

Musallet is the 7th American citizen to be killed by Israeli settlers or forces since October 7, 2023.

"There must be accountability for this criminal and terrorist act," tweeted the U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. These sentiments were echoed by lawmakers like Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who also called for an Israeli probe:
"The Israeli government must thoroughly investigate this killing and hold any and all settlers responsible for the brutal death of Mr Musallet accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
