Valerie Zink has accused Western outlets of perpetuating Israeli propaganda and contributing to the deaths of dozens of reporters

Canadian photojournalist Valerie Zink has resigned as a Reuters stringer after eight years, alleging the agency has been "justifying and enabling" Israel's killing of journalists in Gaza, including members of its own staff.

Her announcement came hours after an Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on Monday, the largest medical facility in southern Gaza, that killed at least 20 people, including five journalists, according to local health officials.

Lipstick on a woke pig: Cracker Barrel scraps new logo design, keeps 'Old Timer' after listening to customers

Restaurant chain's stock price sank following removal of 'Uncle Herschel' from branding

Cracker Barrel said Tuesday that after listening to its customers, it will scrap its new logo and keep the "Old Timer" in place.

"We thank your guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel," the restaurant chain said in a statement to FOX Business. "We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it's always been - and always will be - about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family."

"As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon," the restaurant chain added.

Deputy White House Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich said on social media that he appreciated a call earlier in the evening with Cracker Barrel.

Comment: Simply reverting to the old logo won't undo the decade of DEI/woke infection at Cracker Barrel. From supporting LGBTQ++ whatever, to attempting to foist fake meat on its customers, the company has lurched from one disaster to another.

Israel strikes Yemen's presidential compound

The IDF says it targeted several Houthi sites in response to a missile attack.

Israel said it has carried out airstrikes in Yemen, hitting a military compound that houses the presidential palace, in response to Houthi missile attacks.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on X that it struck several targets in the capital Sanaa on Sunday, including "a military site in which the presidency palace is located, the Adar and Hizaz power plants, and a site for storing fuel."

At least six people were killed and 86 injured in the strikes, Reuters reported, citing Houthi health authorities. The Iran-backed group controls much of western Yemen, including the capital.

Since the war in Gaza began nearly two years ago, the Houthis have launched ballistic missiles and drones at Israel and attacked ships in the Red Sea, claiming to be acting in support of the Palestinians.

Comment: Ally refusals may be the only means of restraint and containment to avoid expansion into a global war.

DNC vote on Israel arms embargo will be the next Democratic Party showdown over Palestine

At its summer meeting, the Democratic National Committee will vote on two rival resolutions concerning Gaza. The competing proposals highlight the growing divide over Israel within the Democratic Party.

Resolution 18 calls for recognition of a Palestinian state, a ceasefire, an arms embargo, and a suspension of military aid to Israel.

Resolution 3, which was introduced in response to Resolution 18, simply calls for a ceasefire in the region and the release of the Israeli hostages. The counter-effort is backed by pro-Israel officials within the party.

The dueling measures highlight the ongoing fight over Israel within the Democratic Party, which has further intensified as a result of the genocide in Gaza.

In a statement, Democratic Majority for Israel President (DMFI) and CEO Brian Romick said he was "deeply troubled" by Resolution 18 and warned that it would "sow division."
"Should it advance, it will further divide our Party, provide a gift to Republicans, and send a signal that will embolden Israel's adversaries. As we get closer to the midterms, Democrats need to be united, not continuing intra-party fights that don't get us closer to taking back Congress."
Polling shows that Democratic voters are not divided on the issue of Israel. A vast majority of them now oppose the country's actions in Gaza and want the U.S. government to stop supporting the genocide.

Comment: Beliefs are hardcore promotion. Truth speaks for itself. It seems few politicians know the difference.

Orders voting districts redrawn

A Utah judge threw a wrench into the Republican Party's plan for a clean sweep of the state's congressional seats on Monday, striking down the GOP-drawn map as illegal.

District Court Judge Dianna Gibson ruled that Utah's congressional map, adopted in 2021, must be redrawn because the GOP-controlled legislature violated voter-approved safeguards against "partisan gerrymandering" when creating the map. The ruling is the latest in the escalating national redistricting battle, as both Democrats and Republicans vie for additional congressional seats ahead of the 2026 midterms.

"The nature of the violation lies in the Legislature's refusal to respect the people's exercise of their constitutional lawmaking power and to honor the people's right to reform their government," Gibson said in the ruling.

Comment: Redistricting is a hot topic all over, as the Democrats feel their grip on power is slipping.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov has said France ruined its reputation as a free country by detaining him last year.

Durov was arrested at a Paris airport in August 2024 on charges of allowing criminals to use his messenger for illegal activities, including extremism and child abuse. The Russian tech entrepreneur was later released on €5 million ($5.86 million) bail and allowed to return to Dubai, where he resides.

In a post on Telegram on Sunday, Durov described his detention as "unprecedented" and "legally and logically absurd."

Ghislaine Maxwell Says Father Was Intelligence Asset, Trump 'Was Never Inappropriate': DOJ Transcripts

epstein ghislaine
The DOJ has just released transcripts and audio from two days of interviews last month with Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who said that President Trump was "never inappropriate with anybody" while he and Epstein were associates, and that her father was an intelligence asset.

"Did you ever hear Mr. Epstein or anybody say that President Trump had done anything inappropriate with masseuses or with anybody in your world?" asked Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Tallahassee, Florida last month.

"Absolutely never, in any context," Maxwell replied.

"I never witnessed the President in any inappropriate setting in any way," Maxwell said in another segment.

Maxwell also said her father, the late Robert Maxwell, was an intelligence asset...

Is climate change REALLY making people allergic to meat?

Tick and Climate Change
© Off-Guardian

Ticks responsible for giving people a "meat allergy" are spreading further and wider because the planet is warming.

That's the story, anyway.

The disease is called Alpha-Gal Syndrome, it is a condition where your body produces an immune response to galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose, a carbohydrate found in mammalian meat.

It was first noted in the mid-2000s, when cancer patients began to display symptoms of anaphylaxis after being treated with the monoclonal antibody drug Cetuximab.

Then, in the early 2010s, researchers found a correlation between increased alpha-gal antibody reaction and repeated tick bites.

Since then, the prevalence of alpha-gal has been increasing year-on-year, with the CDC now estimating almost 500,000 people suffer from this "meat allergy" in the US alone.

Why are these numbers increasing?

Because of climate change, apparently. You see, the warmer weather is causing the tick population to increase, so more people are being bitten, so more people become allergic to meat.

It's all very...neat, don't you think?

Illegal migrant driver's shocking U-turn crash kills 3

All truck weigh stations in Florida are being turned into ICE checkpoints after last week's deadly big-rig crash involving an illegal migrant, officials said Monday.

State Attorney General James Uthmeier, referring to "the serious tragedy that happened down in southeast Florida," announced the new partnership between federal agencies and the state agricultural inspection stations at a press conference in Live Oak.

"Someone that should never have been given a driver's license, much less a CDL license to drive larger commercial vehicles, engaged in reckless behavior that took three lives," Uthmeier said, surrounded by law-enforcement officials.

Comment:

There's a whole industry around facilitating cheap illegal labor:

In the short term, the checkpoints are exactly what is needed. Illegal, and and even legal, but unqualified drivers must be taken off the road for the safety of the general public. But in the longer view, it advances the agenda of a total surveillance state. It's a societal dilemma with no easy answers.

The U.S. has confirmed its first human case of the New World screwworm, a flesh-eating parasite whose northward creep from South America has put the country's cattle industry on high alert in recent months.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in coordination with the Maryland Department of Health, confirmed the case on Aug. 4 in a patient who had returned from travel to El Salvador, Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson Andrew Nixon told NPR on Monday.

"This is the first human case of travel-associated New World screwworm myiasis (parasitic infestation of fly larvae) from an outbreak-affected country identified in the United States," Nixon said. "Currently, the risk to public health in the United States from this introduction is very low."

Comment: Cattle-raising groups, led by Meriwether Farms have been sounding the alarm on the pest for months, and roasting Ag Secretary Rollins for her lack of substantive action.
