Declassified CIA docs: U.S. has been supporting Ukrainian neo-Nazis for over 60 years

Kiew Bandera Nazi
60 years in the making. Thanks, America!
The recent declassification of over 3,800 documents by the Central Intelligence Agency provides detailed proof that since 1953 the CIA operated two major programs intent on not only destabilizing Ukraine but Nazifying it with followers of the World War II Ukrainian Nazi leader Stepan Bandera.

The CIA programs spanned some four decades. Starting as a paramilitary operation that provided funding and equipment for such anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council (UHVR); its affiliates, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), all Nazi Banderists. The CIA also provided support to a relatively anti-Bandera faction of the UHVR, the ZP-UHVR, a foreign-based virtual branch of the CIA and British MI-6 intelligence services. The early CIA operation to destabilize Ukraine, using exile Ukrainian agents in the West who were infiltrated into Soviet Ukraine, was codenamed Project AERODYNAMIC.

A formerly TOP SECRET CIA document dated July 13, 1953, provides a description of AERODYNAMIC: "The purpose of Project AERODYNAMIC is to provide for the exploitation and expansion of the anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance for cold war and hot war purposes. Such groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (UHVR) and its Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN), the Foreign Representation of the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (ZPUHVR) in Western Europe and the United States, and other organizations such as the OUN/B will be utilized." The CIA admitted in a 1970 formerly SECRET document that it had been in contact with the ZPUHVR since 1950.

U.S. forced to finally agree on comprehensive Syrian ceasefire

kerry lavrov
The recent talk between the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Secretary of State Kerry brought some progress. The U.S. was so far not willing to agree to a real ceasefire in Syria and persisted on a lower level "cessation of hostility" agreement. This now changed. The U.S., for the first time, agreed to proceed towards a full ceasefire between its proxy forces in Syria and the Syrian government and its allies. In the press availability after the Tuesday talks Kerry said:
[T]oday, we believe we moved the ball forward in some ways, and I'll say specifically.

First, we pledged our support for transforming the cessation of hostilities into a comprehensive ceasefire. And we committed to use our influence to use the parties to the cessation in order to ensure compliance.

Second, we agreed that if a party to the cessation of hostilities engages in a pattern of persistent noncompliance, the task force can refer that behavior to the ISSG ministers or those designated by the ministers to determine appropriate action, including the exclusion of such parties from the arrangements of the cessation. Interpreted directly, that means that if they continue to do it and they're pretending to be part of the cessation and they're not, they could be subject to no longer being part of the cessation immediately.
Those last sentences are mainly directed at Ahrar al Sham which never signed the cessation agreement but claimed to be part of it while continuing its attack on Syrian government forces and civilians. Kerry is conceding to the Russian standpoint that Ahrar, by its action, is a terrorist group that needs to be fought down.

Comment: Since the beginning of Russia's military involvement in the Syrian war, the concessions from the U.S. aggressors have basically been a series of forced statements of the obvious. While they regularly reject common sense proposals (like the recent one from Russia, approved by Syria, that the U.S. conduct joint airstrikes with Russia), they are still often trapped by their own propaganda. Since Russia is really doing what the U.S. has only been pretending to do, the Americans are forced to go along with Russia's goals at least to some degree. So they have to admit when Russia pounds Daesh, and pretend that it's a good thing. And they have to pretend that they support Syrian democracy and want a real ceasefire. The question isn't whether it will happen or not; it's how the U.S. will try to subvert it for their own ends.

Argentina deals with the devil: Macri gives go-ahead for U.S. military bases

According to a report, the plans also include negotiations over another military base on the border with Paraguay and Brazil.

A military delegation sent by Argentine President Mauricio Macri on Wednesday signed an agreement on military cooperation with the United States, which entails the establishment of a U.S. military base in Ushuaia, the southernmost tip of the South American nation.

Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego, whose boundaries extend to Antarctica. The Argentine government has justified the installation by saying "scientific work" will be performed there.

Earlier this week, Vice Defense Minister Angel Tello began a five-day visit to the U.S. aimed at reestablishing bilateral defense relations between the two countries after a freeze in military ties in recent years.

Since the turn of the millennium, America has witnessed a level of corruption, spying, illegal war, and a rising police state at unprecedented rates. The post 9/11 world is proving to be the antithesis of a free society.

If the terrorists hated our freedom, they have no more reason to hate us.

Beginning with Bush and transitioning to Obama, in the name of security, American citizens have gotten the legal shaft. Our phones are tapped, our bodies poked and prodded, our internet monitored, our every move examined under the microscope of the state, and we have nothing to show for it. In fact, because of US intervention in the Middle East, there is now an even larger threat of terrorism.

Since Barack Obama has been the puppet in chief, the citizens of the United States of America have bared witness to his countless crimes.

More than 58% of Turks support the downing of Russian jet, thinks it shows Turkey is a 'big country'

A worrisome new Turkish survey has revealed that more than half of respondents nationwide believe their government was right to shoot down a Russian jet bombing terrorists on Syria's border in November. The reason? "It showed Turkey is a big country."

Over 58 percent of Turks surveyed said shooting down Russia's jet was the right thing to do, Hurriyet Daily News reported. Meanwhile, 41.8 percent disagreed, saying that it was the wrong move. The survey was conducted by Kadir Has University's Turkish Research Center.

More than a half of those supporting the downing said that it demonstrated to the world that Turkey is "a big country." Meanwhile, about a third of those disagreeing with the decision said that Turkey's response had been "disproportionate."

Digging the hole deeper: U.S. still committed to terrorism in Syria, refuses Syrian/Russian offer to conduct joint airstrikes

The United States has no agreement to conduct joint airstrikes with the Russian military in Syria, US Department of State spokesperson John Kirby told Sputnik on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Moscow offered Washington to jointly plan and conduct airstrikes against al-Nusra Front, as well as other illegal armed groups in Syria.

"There is no agreement to conduct joint airstrikes with the Russians in Syria," Kirby stated. "What we are discussing with our Russian counterparts — in keeping with the ISSG [International Syria Support Group] communique last week in Vienna — are proposals for a sustainable mechanism to better monitor and enforce the cessation of hostilities."

Comment: It's as if the U.S. power structure is entirely unaware of just how idiotic it looks. And the Russians are seemingly expert at presenting the U.S. with options that just make it that much more obvious. At this rate, Russia can propose that the U.S. join Russia in condemning murder, terrorism, pollution, fascism, and killing babies, and the U.S. will stubbornly refuse to do so, simply because it's Russia making the offer. Do these clowns not realize that the longer they continue with their "disagree with Russia about anything" policy, the more the world public, and the American public, will see them as the murderous, corrupt, terror-supporting psychopaths they actually are?

Poroshenko finally admits defeat in Donbass - war was a failure

Poroshenko Ukraine
Ukraine’s President Poroshenko
Poroshenko admits to Ukraine's military leadership that Ukraine cannot reconquer the Donbass.

Though it has received almost no international attention, Ukraine's President Poroshenko finally admitted on Friday 21st May 2016 a truth many Ukrainians still cannot face: Ukraine cannot regain control of the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics by military means.

Poroshenko's admission was made at a meeting of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council - in effect to Ukraine's military leadership. That means that what Poroshenko said was not a slip or a pose but a genuine admission made to the commanders of the Ukrainian military who have been fighting its war.

This admission comes two years after Ukraine launched its so-called "Anti-Terrorist Operation" to crush opposition in the Donbass.

It also comes just short of two years after Ukraine launched a military offensive to regain the Donbass on 30th June 2014.

Poroshenko was elected President shortly before that military offensive was launched. It was he who gave the order to launch the offensive, ignoring warnings not to do so from the Russians and from Germany's Foreign Minister Steinmeier (who however did nothing to restrain him thereafter).

Poroshenko as President was also party to the Ukrainian decision to resume the offensive in January 2015.

The offensives Ukraine launched in June 2014 and in January 2015 ended in disastrous defeats.

Hystericized America: The most frightened and frightening nation on Earth

Frightened America
America is exceptional alright. It is the most frightened nation on Earth, subjected to hysterical propaganda over decades warning about foreign enemies and ideologies. No wonder its supposed democratic freedom is in so appallingly bad shape, when the preponderant population is imprisoned by their rulers in a virtual cage of fear.

Paradoxically, though, the dissonance of supposed freedom could not be more abysmal. At a press conference at the Cannes film festival last week American screen actor George Clooney digressed from his latest movie to talk about Republican presidential contender Donald Trump. Clooney, who is well known for his liberal brand of US politics and a big supporter of Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, predicted that rightwing business tycoon Trump would not win the forthcoming November presidential contest.

Clooney dismissed Trump as a demagogue sowing fear and divisive tensions along racial and xenophobic lines. Which is fair enough. Of interest here is not so much the actor's views on Trump's chances of political success. Rather, it is Clooney's premise that Americans would not succumb to reactionary fear peddling.

Seated at the press conference alongside his American co-star Julia Roberts and film director Jody Foster, Clooney told his Cannes audience: «Fear is not going to drive our country... we're not afraid of anything».

Comment: In his seminal book, Political Ponerology (A Science on the Nature of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes), Andrew M. Lobaczewski zeroes in on what Cunningham describes in his article:
During "happy times" of peace dependent upon social injustice, children of the privileged classes learn to repress from their field of consciousness the uncomfortable ideas suggesting that they and their parents are benefitting from injustice against others. Such young people learn to disqualify disparage the moral and mental values of anyone whose work they are using to over-advantage. Young minds thus ingest habits of subconscious selection and substitution of data, which leads to a hysterical conversion economy of reasoning. They grow up to be somewhat hysterical adults who, by means of the ways adduced above, thereupon transmit their hysteria to the next generation, which then develops these characteristics to an even greater degree. The hysterical patterns for experience and behavior grow and spread downwards from the privileged classes until crossing the boundary of the first criterion of ponerology: the atrophy of natural critical faculties with respect to pathological individuals.

When the habits of subconscious selection and substitution of thought-data spread to the macrosocial level, a society tends to develop contempt for factual criticism and to humiliate anyone sounding an alarm. Contempt is also shown for other nations which have maintained normal thought-patterns and for their opinions. Egotistic thought-terrorization is accomplished by the society itself and its processes of conversive thinking. This obviates the need for censorship of the press, theater, or broadcasting, as a pathologically hypersensitive censor lives within the citizens themselves.

When three "egos" govern, egoism, egotism, and egocentrism, the feeling of social links and responsibility toward others disappear, and the society in question splinters into groups ever more hostile to each other. When a hysterical environment stops differentiating the opinions of limited, not-quite-normal people from those of normal, reasonable persons, this opens the door for activation of the pathological factors of a various nature to enter in.

Individuals we have already met who are governed by a pathological view of reality and abnormal goals caused by their different nature are able to develop their activities in such conditions. If a given society does not manage to overcome the state of hysterization under its ethnological and political circumstances, a huge bloody tragedy can be the result.

One variation of such a tragedy can be pathocracy. Thus, minor setbacks in terms of political failure or military defeat can be a warning in such a situation and may turn out to be a blessing in disguise if properly understood and allowed to be- come a factor in the regeneration of a society's normal thought patterns and customs. The most valuable advice a ponerologist can offer under such circumstances is for a society to avail itself of the assistance of modern science, taking particular advantage of data remaining from the last great increase of hysteria in Europe.
In light of this, consider what Cunningham, a modern day ponerologist if you will, has said in another recent article:
Indeed, it is averred that Russia's intervention in Syria may have been partly based on this bigger, far more serious calculation. Not only was Russia salvaging the Middle East country from Western-backed war for regime change. Moscow's deployment of latest weaponry, including its sea-launched cruise missiles and the S-400 anti-ballistic defense, could have been aimed at demonstrating to Washington that it better think twice about pursuing a wider war agenda.

Little do we know it because of so much Western mind-numbing misinformation, but our world is facing the abyss of nuclear war. Russia's military power is holding the line from this abyss.

How can we transcend this abysmal situation before stumbling over the edge?

Russia must remain vigilant and strong, with a determination to not capitulate. The anniversary last week of the defeat of Nazi Germany is a timely reminder of Russia's epic importance in thwarting international aggression. The same fascist aggression is virulent again in the form of American hegemonic ambitions, and just as with the Third Reich it is Russian fortitude that is preserving the world from Total War.

Political analyst Randy Martin does not see the American public has having a decisive role in practice. In theory, yes, US citizens need to call their warmongering leaders to account and to elect a democratic government - for a change. However, says Martin, the American public are so disenfranchised, brainwashed, beaten down, and oppressed with poverty and consumerist psychosis, he does not see how a mass movement in the US can be mobilized at this point in history in order to abolish the warmongering ruling elite in Washington.

Perhaps, it is up to the people of Europe to take decisive action. Growing popular discontent with European leaders who toe the American line of aggression and sanctions on Russia may have the potential of decisively breaking the US-EU-NATO war front.

What people need to urgently wake up to is that Washington and its European vassals in government are already at war on Russia. There is absolutely no objective justification for this destructive dynamic, other than the US trying to unilaterally assert its hegemony. That is not the policy of a law-abiding democracy; it is a fascist power in the same vein as Nazi Germany.

The war on Russia is being waged on entirely spurious grounds of alleged Russian annexations, invasions and expansionism. This is utter propaganda - again a la Nazi Germany.

'Extending American power': Foreign policy establishment doubles down

American flag
© Patrick Smith / AFP
The new generation of Americans needs to be taught that US hegemony is "vital" to their well-being and global peace, and that it must be extended if world order is to be sustained, says a report by a bipartisan group of foreign policy veterans in Washington.

A working group at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) published a 20-page pamphlet this week, articulating their vision for the next president's foreign policy. The think-tank was established in 2007, and has worked closely with the Obama administration ever since.

Titled "Extending American Power: Strategies to Expand US Engagement in a Competitive World Order," the report is the culmination of a year-long effort. The project was co-chaired by Dr. Robert Kagan of the Brooking Institution and James Rubin, former Assistant Secretary of State during the Clinton administration and currently a senior adviser at CNAS.

Comment: At only 20 pages, an easy read for any Washington politician to follow and comprehend (unlike the thousand page laws they pass without reading). This pamphlet clearly outlines the hegemonic goal of the US elites and demands Americans to follow these guidelines without question. It must be this way or else doom and gloom.

Former PM Ehud Barak: Israel 'infected by seeds of fascism'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
© Gali Tibbon / Reuters
Israel is drifting toward fascism under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said former Isareli PM Ehud Barak. He added that the current government "needs to be brought down."

Barak, who led the country for over a decade in the 1990s and later served as defense minister under Ehud Olmert and Benjamin Netanyahu, was commenting on the latest government reshuffle made this week by his former boss.

Netanyahu decided to replace Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon with Avigdor Lieberman, the controversial chair of the far-right Yisrael Beiteinu party, instead of forming a coalition with the center-left Zionist Union. Ya'alon resigned Friday both from the government and from the parliament, citing "a lack of faith" in Netanyahu even as the PM reportedly tried to compensate him by offering the job of the foreign minister.
