Three of former Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's henchmen have been found living comfortably in Britain despite being wanted in Tripoli for allegedly embezzling millions from the war torn state.

The three men feature on a list of former regime figures linked to the bloody suppression of the Libyan uprising and are wanted by prosecutors in Tripoli for allegedly fleeing the country with stolen state assets in 2011.

BuzzFeed News says the men have been given a safe haven in the UK despite standing accused of laundering millions of pounds through British banks and property deals.

Comment: The BuzzFeed article has nothing but allegations and proves nothing. It would be more interesting to know why Britain has given asylum to these three ex-military men and their families.

Turkey's failed coup has seriously weakened the Syrian jihad

Syrian Jihad
Bad days for the jihadi project in Syria. The July 15th attempted coup probably by Kemalist officers -- who were always against Erdogan's Syrian entanglements -- was defeated, but that didn't prevent active Turkish aid for rebels and imported jihadis to nosedive anyway - at least for now.

No doubt Erdogan remains committed to Islamism at home and abroad, but for the time being, Turkey is turning inwards.

Syrian rebels said last week they noticed a drift in Ankara's attention. They said Turkey was inactive as rebels struggled against a tightening siege by the Assad regime on Aleppo, the opposition's last big urban stronghold. Aleppo's fate could be critical to the outcome of the Syrian conflict.

"Usually, the Turks would be checking in a lot, meeting with commanders and making sure everyone is doing their jobs and sticking to the plan," says a rebel leader from a US-backed group. "The Turks could get control of this situation — and now, they're absent."

Snowden: How to get to the bottom of "who hacked the Democrats"

DNC hacked
© www.hackbusters.com
With the scandals plaguing the Democratic National Convention - set to start in just over an hour - get stronger, so does the narrative that it was all Russia's fault the Democratic party was hacked.

As a result, as reported earlier today, the objective FBI said it is now investigating how thousands of DNC emails were hacked, a breach that Hillary Clinton's campaign maintains was committed by Russia to benefit Donald Trump. Indeed, as noted yesterday, Clinton's campaign, citing "experts", pointed to a massive hacking of DNC computers in June that cybersecurity firms linked to the Russian government.

Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta added fuel to the debate Monday, saying there was "a kind of bromance going on" between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump. The Clinton campaign says Russia favors Trump's views, especially on NATO.

SOTT Focus: Hillary proffered as alternative to Trump, no one cares she's a warmongering psychopath

There's so much happening around the country and around the world that it's almost impossible to keep up. Mass shootings, weird weather, cops on power trips, strange animal behavior and weird phenomena abound. Then there are power plays in the Middle East, including the on-going wars against the Syrian and Palestinian people by rich psychopaths aka the western political and corporate elite. But pay no attention to the man behind the curtain... there's an election happening!

Dominating the headlines in the US, we have had the Republican National Convention which crowned Donald Trump (and yes, his real name is Donald Drumpf) as the Republican candidate for president. He's supported by wonderful people such as the man in this video (fair warning, the language used by this individual is revolting):

Lovely guy, right?

Netanyahoo calls Arabs 'goats' in video intended to promote dignity, equality

What a moron!
© IsraeliPM/YouTubeScreen shot of Israeli Prime Minister's video message published yesterday, entitled, "PM Netanyahu: Dear Arab citizens of Israel--take part in our society in droves."
In what was intended as a message to Palestinians citizens of Israel on "equality and dignity for all," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's accidentally called Arabs "goats," and received backlash from Palestinian political parties for staging a "hypocritical charade."

The clip, recorded in Hebrew and English versions, started with an Arabic greeting, the phrase, "Muwatinuna al arab al aezaa." While the prime minister had meant to say, "My good friends Arab citizens," with a slight mispronunciation his words were understood as, "my Arab goats."

The gaffe was pointed out by Knesset member Ahmad Tibi from the Joint List who released the following statement, "He [Netanyahu] meant to say the word 'al-aziziye' which means 'my good friends.' However, the word he said was ' al aezaa,' which means 'my goats,'" explained Tibi. The error was not the only item to draw umbrage from the Joint List and Arab members of Knesset. They published their own video response today and said "no thanks!"

Clinton's "useful idiots" parrot anti-Russian conspiracy theory: Russians hacked DNC, Trump "handing over" Baltic states to Putin in return for cash

Picture of Putin and Trump
Trump and Putin after they created ISIS.
Hillary Clinton's "useful idiots" have appeared, and they have concocted a Putin-Trump story that is so dumb, it's hard to believe that these guys are actually considered intelligent progressives.

Hillary Clinton is now going all in on the 'evil Russians hacked the DNC' narrative. This is of course a clear effort to deflect and dodge the real issue at hand.

If this is Clinton leadership, then we are all in big trouble. Zero accountability, and no responsibility. Deflection and blaming others for her incompetence, that's what America wants?

Comment: Not mentioned in the article above is the absurdity in one of the Young Turks' key premises: that Russia even wants Estonia! They're accepting the wholly manufactured narrative that Russia is an aggressive state that wants to invade every nation on its borders. Quality stuff, TYT!

Turkey has confirmed it's ready to continue negotiations on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich as representatives from the energy ministries of the two countries met on Tuesday.

The issue with the pipeline construction, which will deliver Russian natural gas to Turkey, could be clarified after the meeting, Dvorkovich said.

According to the minister, they have also discussed going ahead with Turkey's Akkuyu nuclear power plant.

"We discussed some investment projects, including the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant. There is some progress here already. The necessary regulatory framework is being finished by the Turkish side. We expect to be able to move forward quite quickly," Dvorkovich told reporters.

A senior French police officer has claimed that the interior ministry "harassed" her into altering a security report from the deadly terrorist attack in Nice.

Sandra Bertin, the officer in charge of Nice's CCTV control room, told the Journal du Dimanche newspaper on Sunday that an unnamed interior ministry official contacted her after the attack and pressured her into altering her report for the night of the incident.

On July 14, a truck driver plowed through a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, killing 84 people and wounding 200 others.

Likely source behind fake NBC psyop during Turkey coup: Accused US mastermind Gen. John F. Campbell

campbell
Gen. John Campbell, busted.
Newsbud sources have identified Former NATO Commander-Retired US Army General John F. Campbell as the 'likely' NBC News' source in NBC's scandalous false reporting on the Turkey Coup Attempt during the most critical early hours of the failed coup operation.

On July 15, 2016, as an attempted coup unfolded in Turkey, NBC began to report and then circulate widely that Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had fled the country by air and was requesting asylum in Germany. NBC attributed the false report to its senior US military official - MSNBC Producer Kyle Griffin's tweet stated, "senior US military source tells NBC News that Erdogan, refused landing rights in Istanbul, is reported to be seeking asylum in Germany." The story has been deleted from NBC and related sites since being debunked. Newsbud sources have identified General Campbell as the likely NBC News' Senior Military Official source in this strategically broadcasted false story.

On Monday, July 25, the Turkish Embassy in Washington D.C. sent its official request for public retraction and apology to the relevant divisions at NBC News. A few hours after that, Newsbud's founder and Editor Sibel Edmonds received direct e-mail communication from the MSNBC Producer involved ... Comment: Global Research provides some background on Campbell, and the Turkish allegations against him:
Four Star US Army General Campbell and Vice Chief of Staff (March 2013-August 2014) assumed command of ISAF from August to December of 2014. He was then appointed Commander of NATO's Afghanistan Operation Resolute Support, "a training, advisory, assistance, and counter-terror mission" from which he retired in March 2016, four months prior to Turkey's failed coup. ... According to Yeni Savak:
General John F. Campbell was one of the top figures who organized and managed the soldiers behind the failed coup attempt in Turkey, sources close to ongoing legal process of pro-coup detainees said. ... The ongoing investigation unveiled that Campbell had paid at least two secret visits to Turkey since May, until the day of the coup attempt.
The report intimates that General Campbell operated in tandem with the Fethullah Gülen organization. It also intimates that US intelligence and military were behind the failed coup.
Military sources said Campbell, who was the commander of ISAF between August 26, 2014 and May 1, 2016, had made some top secret meetings in Erzurum military base and Adana İnicrlik Airbase. ... Military sources said that Campbell was the man, who directed the process of trending / blacklisting the military officers in the base. If the coup attempt was successful, Campbell would visit Turkey in a short time, according to the sources.
The report also examined the alleged money transactions focussing on the role of The Nigeria branch of the United Bank of Africa (UBA), which allegedly constituted "the main base for the last six-months of money transactions for the coup plotters". The report also underscored the role of the CIA in implementing the money transfers
Millions of dollars of money has been transferred from Nigeria to Turkey by a group of CIA personnel. The money, which has been distributed to an 80-person special team of the CIA, was used to convince pro-coup generals. More than 2 billion dollars were distributed during the process leading to the coup. After taking money from their bank accounts, the CIA team hand delivered it to the terrorists under the military dresses.
The money was distributed to military officers who were favorable to the Gullenist cause, according to the report.
"They investigated the soldiers' trends, their personalities and family background. All soldiers were categorized in three groups: opponents, neutrals, and supporters." ...

Obama claims US is 'in the midst of a revolution of the cyber threat', promises sanctions

Saying that the US is "in the midst of a revolution of the cyber threat," the White House has issued a directive establishing new guidelines for the government in case of "significant cyber incidents," stressing that "no tool is off the table."

The new instruction authorized by US President Barack Obama tasks several federal agencies with dealing with both cyber incidents and their aftermath. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) "will take the lead in coordinating the response to the immediate threat," White House counterterrorism adviser Lisa Monaco said on Tuesday, while announcing the new measures at the International Conference on Cyber Security in New York.

Comparing cyber-attacks to "terrorism cases," the US official stated "This includes bringing the full range of law enforcement and national security investigative tools to bear," while stressing that "No tool is off the table."

Comment: Looks like the US will come down even harder on whistleblowers and hackers for daring to expose the psychopaths' machinations. As an added bonus (or perhaps the prime reason!), they get to blame Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea - the current bogeynations of choice. Seriously, guys, it's getting old.
