China warns US against attempts to use sovereignty and territorial integrity as bargaining chip

China's ambassador to the US has issued a strong warning to Washington, saying that Beijing will not tolerate any attempts to review the "political foundation" of bilateral relations. It seemingly follows Donald Trump's remarks questioning the "One China" policy.

"The political foundation of China-US relations should not be undermined. It should be preserved," Ambassador Cui Tiankai said at a meeting with bosses of top US companies, Reuters reported.

The Chinese diplomat went on to stress the necessity to comply with "basic norms of international relations," which should not be regarded "as something you can trade off."

Comment: Certainly Trump's experience in the business world and involvement in negotiations is going to be the way he deals with international relations. That is probably going to cause some bumpy relationships with countries who have no interest in negotiating and making trades.

"And indeed, national sovereignty and territorial integrity are not bargaining chips. Absolutely not," Cui said.

Britain must up its game if it wants to defeat Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in 2017, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has said ahead of a key anti-IS coalition conference.

In a lengthy comment piece in the Telegraph newspaper, Fallon said he would be discussing strategy from Tuesday in a series of meetings with the defense secretaries of 13 allied nations including Iraq.

He cited Aleppo as an example of what can happen without military intervention, before laying out what he presented as the three key issues for the UK in defeating the terrorist group in Iraq and Syria: warfighting, returning stability and tracking down jihadists.

He said it was important to review the military operations which had pushed IS back from Baghdad since 2014 and were now laying siege to Mosul.

"The RAF is flying at an intensity not seen for quarter of a century and is hitting Daesh [Arabic pejorative term for IS] at 11 times the rate we struck the Taliban in Afghanistan with almost 1,200 strikes, so far, in Iraq and Syria. Slowly but surely the terrorists are being beaten back," he said.

#FakeNews creator, Mike Morell, cited in 'Russia Hacking' stories, fails to mention his employment at a firm tied to Hillary Clinton

Mike Morell
Mike Morell, the former acting director of the CIA, is generating headlines for claiming that alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election amounts to "the political equivalent of 9/11."

Morell further suggested that the U.S. should respond in a significant way to the alleged Russian actions and he has given interviews supporting reports that the CIA believes Russia tried to influence the election in favor of President-elect Donald Trump.

Absent from the news media coverage of Morell's statements is that he is known for his leading role in helping to craft the infamously misleading talking points used by Obama administration officials to blame the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks on a YouTube video.

The news media also failed to mention that Morell, who abruptly resigned from the CIA in June 2013, took a job that year at the Beacon Global Strategies firm, where he still works as senior counselor.

Russian Special Forces in Syria shown in rare battlefield footage (VIDEO)

battle footage
For the first time since Moscow came to the aid of Syria over a year ago, Russian TV has shown never before seen footage of the country's most elite military unit assisting the Syrian army in combat against ISIS.

The Special Operations Forces are part of the Russian Ministry of Defense's Special Operations Command, which was established in 2009 as part of a large-scale reform of the Russian Armed Forces.

Since its inception, the unit is believed to have been involved in providing security for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, as well neutralizing armed provocations during the historic March 2014 referendum in the Republic of Crimea, which resulted in the peninsula's secession from Ukraine and reunification with Russia.

Now the unit is involved in combat operations in Syria, targeting ISIS commanders and supporting the Syrian government forces during key operations.

Nomination of Tillerson falls in line with Trump promise to 'drain the swamp'

Rex Tillerson

The 'non-Washington' nominee for Secretary of State Rex Tillerson knows how to do win-win deals and will hopefully put the US in a position when America is respected but again not at the cost of the relationship with other countries, experts told RT.

'Trump's thinking outside the box'

Television and radio commentator Charlie Wolf said Rex Tillerson's nomination for US Secretary of State "is almost an inspired move."

"It is definitely thinking outside the box and shows the difference between how the career politician thinks and how a businessman thinks that he is willing to look at other options. Tillerson was not one of his first choices; I don't think he was familiar with him but it was Secretary Gates, the former Defense Secretary that brought the name up. Condoleezza Rice also endorsed him", Charlie Wolf continued.

"He found something in Tillerson more than just the fact that he is a fellow businessman, more than the fact that he is a very good businessman and more even than the fact that he worked and negotiated with a lot of countries including Russia. I think they share a vision. That's an important thing, and I think Mr. Tillerson will put us in a position again where we are respected, but again not at the cost of our relationship with other countries. This is I think a man who knows how to do win-win deals where hopefully both sides in a negotiation can feel pleased when they walk away from table," he told RT.

FSB arrests 4 ISIS-linked foreign fighters plotting terror attacks in Moscow

The Federal Security Service (FSB) has foiled a series of terrorist attacks in Moscow by a group of foreign fighters, who were directed by an Islamic State-affiliate based in Turkey, the Russian agency reported.

The group "included several Tajikistan nationals and a Moldovan national and plotted a series of high-profile terrorist attacks in Moscow involving the detonation of powerful improvised explosive devices," the FSB report released on Thursday said.

The FSB said it detained four members of the group on Thursday, seizing automatic firearms, explosives and parts for manufacturing IEDs.

"The terrorist attacks were being plotted under a direct order by a Turkey-based affiliate of the international terrorist organization Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL], which is outlawed in Russia," the report stressed.

The security service did not identify the four detained men, who were busted in several locations in Moscow and the Moscow Region, nor the suspected mastermind of the operation. It said the mastermind is on a Tajikistan wanted list.

Russian security forces have recently reported thwarting a number of terrorist plots on Russian soil organized by people with ties to IS. Russian President Vladimir Putin said the threat posed to Russian citizens by the organization, which grew in power in Iraq and Syria, is one of the key reasons why he decided to deploy the Russian military to help the Syrian government in its fight against terrorism.

Anti-Trump precious snowflake running full-page ads in newspapers across US urging Electoral College to block Trump election

Doanld Trump
An anti-Trump activist has begun running full-page ads in newspapers across the country to persuade Electoral College members to "vote their conscience" as part of a pressure campaign intended to block the election of Donald Trump.

The ads, which appeared Wednesday morning in the Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Austin American-Statesman, Salt Lake City Tribune and Tampa Bay Times, are also slated to appear in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Wisconsin State Journal on Thursday. The 538 members of the Electoral College are slated to meet Monday in their respective state capitals. The ads target Republican electors in states won by Trump.

"Never in our Republic's history has there been a President-apparent comparable to Donald Trump," the ad reads. "His inauguration would present a grave and continual threat to the Constitution, to domestic tranquility and to international stability."

Comment: If you wish to make your voice heard to the Electoral College, here's how to write to them. You can also view each state's Electors. As you can see in the video below, there is concerted effort by celebrities and other precious snowflakes (no doubt unwitting agents to Killary, Obama, the CIA and the rest of the psychopathic elite) to deny Trump the presidency through the Electoral College.

Myanmar: Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi genocidal agenda unfolding

Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi
Reading commentary, analysis, and even alleged "reports" from the Southeast Asian state of Myanmar, it would appear that Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi - poster child of American and European "democracy promotion" - is helpless to avert what is quickly expanding into wholesale genocide against the nation's Rohingya minority.

In reality, Suu Kyi's political coalition has for decades been bolstered by highly politicized sectarian factions, including saffron-clad "monks" who have regularly employed street violence in support of Suu Kyi and her National League for Democracy (NLD) party. These same factions - also for decades - have pursued a policy of racially and religiously charged, politically-motivated violence against Myanmar's Rohingya population.

Myanmar's Rohingya - many of whom have lived in the nation for generations - had at one point coexisted with Myanmar's majority ethnic groups. It was only relatively recently that enterprising political factions decided to use racial and religious tensions as a means of galvanizing and radicalizing opposition aimed at undermining the then military-led government and bringing Suu Kyi to power.

It was warned years before Suu Kyi came to power that should her party win elections, free reign would be granted to her supporters to fully and openly pursue their genocidal agenda. The NLD has won the elections, and that genocidal agenda is now unfolding.

Comment: The US government has blood on it's hands in every corner of the world.

#FakeNews New York Times alleged 'evidence' Russia was behind Clinton leaks fails to make a convincing case

media manipulation
New York Times article shows exceptionally sloppy cyber-security by the DNC and Podesta and fails to make convincing case of Russia being behind the Clinton leaks.

The article reveals nothing that is really new, but a number of points did immediately strike me:

(1) The article goes to some lengths to claim that the way the Russians go about carrying out cyber-attacks is far more stealthy than say the Chinese. Thus we read comments like this:
"The Russians had not gone away, of course. "They were just a lot more stealthy," said Kevin Mandia, a former Air Force intelligence officer who spent most of his days fighting off Russian cyberattacks before founding Mandiant, a cybersecurity firm that is now a division of FireEye — and the company the Clinton campaign brought in to secure its own systems."
and this
"The Russians grew stealthier and stealthier, tricking government computers into sending out data while disguising the electronic "command and control" messages that set off alarms for anyone looking for malicious actions. The State Department was so crippled that it repeatedly closed its systems to throw out the intruders. At one point, officials traveling to Vienna with Secretary of State John Kerry for the Iran nuclear negotiations had to set up commercial Gmail accounts just to communicate with one another and with reporters traveling with them."

James Corbett: The abnormalization of dissent

internet censorship
The spin, lies, manipulation and deceptions are coming so fast and thick it's increasingly difficult to document them all, let alone analyze them. But in the broad sweep of recent events we can see a common theme emerging: the abnormalization of dissent. And when political ideology boils down to nothing more than "real" and "fake" the control of political discourse through language itself is almost complete. Can outright censorship be far behind?
