Flashback How Britain infiltrates Lebanon's Internal Security Forces

Leaked Foreign Office documents show how a British government-funded program has infiltrated Lebanon's Internal Security Forces at every level since 2008.

In July, "civil policing transformation" specialist Siren Associates was awarded a £15-million contract to deliver the UK Foreign Office's British Policing Support Programme (BPSP) in Lebanon.

Industry outlet Intelligence Online hailed the move, referring to Siren as an "old hand" at "security cooperation work" and the "linchpin" of UK strategy in this regard, noting that the vast investment comes against a backdrop of ever-worsening political and economic turmoil in Beirut.

Officially, the operation is concerned with helping the Internal Security Forces (ISF) to "maintain public safety and counter crime, disorder, and terrorist threats in compliance with human rights standards," while strengthening the agency's "effectiveness, responsiveness, and accountability, with a particular focus on their ability to respond to issues of public safety and internal security."

The Obsidian Lens: Reflecting the chasm of the anointed

Consulting the oracle

The downfall of the American Republic did not begin with a tweet, a rally, or even a specific election; it began in the fall of 1960. When John F. Kennedy faced Richard Nixon on national television, the Image officially replaced the Individual. We traded a presidency rooted in policy for one based on "visual vigor," creating a direct, emotional link between the leader and the voter that bypassed civic duty in favor of cinematic worship.

However, this was more than a shift in media; it was the start of a sixty-year "Mutation Test." Since 1960, successive forces have incrementally tested how much authority could be centralized within the Oval Office, transforming the presidency from a co-equal branch of government into an Immune Executive.

The State is socializing the cost of the Iran War

War is often sold to the public as an act of national will: decisive, necessary, and under control. The bill arrives later, in a quieter form. It shows up in insurance markets, shipping rates, emergency guarantees, higher fuel prices, and sudden policy reversals designed to keep the economic damage from spreading too far or too fast. That is what is now happening with the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. The fighting is not only destroying lives and widening instability. It is also revealing something more familiar about the American state: when private actors no longer want to bear the risk of a war Washington helped ignite, Washington moves to spread that risk across everyone else.

The clearest example came when maritime war-risk premiums in the Gulf surged, in some cases by more than 1000%, as ships and cargoes moved through a combat zone centered on one of the world's most important energy chokepoints. This is what markets do when governments create danger: they start pricing reality honestly. Insurance underwriters do not care about speeches about resolve or credibility. They care about missiles, mines, damaged hulls, and the odds that a vessel will not make it home intact. Once those odds change, the market does what it is supposed to do. It becomes expensive to move goods through a war.

Dialogue between the State Duma and US Congress is "vital for the world," Kirill Dmitriev says.

Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev has announced an upcoming meeting between Russian and US lawmakers, saying direct dialogue between the State Duma and US Congress is "vital" for global stability.

Parliamentary ties were effectively frozen after the Ukraine conflict escalated in February 2022, when Washington sanctioned most Duma (the lower house of parliament) and Federation Council (upper house) members, suspending formal contact and high-level visits.

Since US President Donald Trump's return to power in early 2025, there has been a push to revive legislative diplomacy, though no direct meetings have yet taken place.

Dmitriev, who also heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund and is involved in Ukraine peace efforts, said on X that a meeting is expected soon, without elaborating.

Leningrad Region appeared to be the focus of the UAV attack

A total of 389 Ukrainian drones have been shot down by air defenses over Russian territory overnight, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported on Wednesday morning.

Incoming UAVs were intercepted and destroyed across 14 regions in the western part of the country, as well as Crimea.

Moscow, which has been the focus of the majority of Ukrainian drone incursions in recent months, was largely untargeted this time, with Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reporting just one interception.

However, an unusually large number of UAVs were shot down in Leningrad Region, surrounding Russia's second largest city, St Petersburg. Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko said at least 56 drones were destroyed.

The 15-point plan that Team Trump presented to Iran is already D.O.A.

It's an imposed capitulation: a surrender document disguised as "negotiation".

The non-plan plan - imposing demands while begging for a one-month ceasefire - includes zero uranium enrichment on Iranian soil; full dismantlement of Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow installations; all enriched uranium out of Iran; the missile program extremely restricted; no funding for Hezbollah, Ansarallah and Iraqi militias; the Strait of Hormuz totally opened.

All that in exchange for a vague "cancelling the threat of reimposing sanctions".

The only realistic Iranian response to this accumulated wishful thinking might be Mr. Khorramshahr-4 showering his business card across selected targets - consistent with leveraging economic and military deterrence to dictate the real terms.

And the real terms are harsh:

Closure of ALL US military bases in the Gulf; guarantee of no more wars; end of the war on Hezbollah; lifting of ALL sanctions; war damage reparations; a new order in the Strait of Hormuz (already in effect: collecting fees just like Egypt in Suez); missile program intact.

Conclusion: the infernal escalation machine keeps rolling.

Big Bomb

The sinking of the Iranian frigate Iris Dena was murder executed by the US Navy and then covered up by India

Iran Ship (IRIS) Dena
In the pre-dawn hours of March 4, the Iranian frigate, Islamic Republic of Iran Ship (IRIS) Dena, was racing eastward on the Indian Ocean. From the southwest, a tailwind of 7 knots and swell of 1.5 metres added to the Mowj-class vessel's top speed of 30 knots. At coordinates 6.0073 degrees North , 79.8654 degrees East, the Dena was 9 nautical miles (nm) outside Sri Lanka's territorial waters; 19 nm west of the harbour of Galle, a port on the southwestern coast of the island.

It was 05:06 local time. Dawn was an hour away. On the bridge of the Dena the clock and speed log showed that in just 18 minutes the vessel and its crew would be safe from US pursuit and attack.

That was when a US Navy submarine, the USS Charlotte, fired two torpedoes. One missed; one struck the Dena, holed the bow section, triggered an internal explosion, and sank the ship within three minutes (lead image, top). Of the crew's 180-man complement, 32 were rescued alive by the Sri Lankan coast guard; 87 bodies were recovered from the water; 61 were lost. Altogether, 148 were killed (lead image, below).

In the Pentagon briefing which followed, Secretary of War Peter Hegseth said: "an American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo, quiet death." Hegseth intended to reveal that the position of the Dena was "in international waters". He did not mean to reveal the US had been listening to the Dena's communications as it was transmitting, live. The reason the Dena was reporting it was safe was that it was just 18 minutes from Sri Lankan territorial waters.

Comment: However it took place, that is the lowest of low blows that condemned sailors a death at sea.

IEA Report: 10 'Emergency Measures' straight from the Great Reset playbook

Emergency Measures
© Off-Guardian Org
The International Energy Agency (IEA) has just published a new report that claims to identify ten "demand-side measures" which will "alleviate the economic impacts [of the] war in the Middle East."

Titled "Sheltering From Oil Shocks", it is notionally aimed at "easing oil price pressures on consumers", but it reads like a page straight out of the Great Reset playbook.

Its ten recommendations include old favourites like working from home, limiting air travel and even phasing out gas cookers...
...targeted actions can ease pressure on fuels that are particularly constrained. A reduction in air travel where alternatives exist can significantly lower demand for jet fuel. Measures to shift LPG use away from transport and towards essential applications, such as cooking, can help protect vulnerable households. At the same time, encouraging the uptake of alternative clean cooking solutions where feasible can reduce reliance on LPG and avoid a return to more polluting fuels that harm people's health.
In full, their recommendations are...
  1. Work from home where possible.
  2. Reduce highway speed limits by at least 10 km/h
  3. Encourage public transport
  4. Alternate private car access to roads in large cities on different days
  5. Increase car sharing and adopt efficient driving practices
  6. Efficient driving for road commercial vehicles and delivery of goods
  7. Divert LPG use from transport
  8. Avoid air travel where alternative options exist
  9. Where possible, switch to other modern cooking solutions
  10. Leverage flexibility with petrochemical feedstocks and implement short-term efficiency and maintenance measures
If a lot of those sound familiar, well, that's because they were suggested inclusions in "Climate Lockdowns", those totally imaginary things that conspiracy theorists just made up.

Let's take a deeper look at a couple.

The late Robert Mueller, Bill of Rights executioner

Robert Mueller
© CNN.comRobert Mueller
Former FBI director Robert Mueller died last week at the age of 81. The New York Times eulogized him as a "button-down, lockjawed, rock-ribbed exemplar of a vanishing caste." In reality, Mueller was simply a twenty-first century version of J. Edgar Hoover, trampling the Constitution and seizing new power on any pretext.

Mueller took over the FBI one week before the 9/11 attacks and he was worse than clueless afterwards. On September 14, 2011, Mueller declared, "The fact that there were a number of individuals that happened to have received training at flight schools here is news, quite obviously. If we had understood that to be the case, we would have — perhaps one could have averted this." Three days later, Mueller announced, "There were no warning signs that I'm aware of that would indicate this type of operation in the country." His protestations helped the W. Bush administration railroad the Patriot Act through Congress, vastly expanding the FBI's prerogatives to vacuum up Americans' personal information.

Comment: Much of this has already been published, but Bovard provides a nice summary of this corrupt Deep Stater's "career".

Israel's Mossad promised it could ignite regime change in Iran, says report

Israel's intelligence agency Mossad had a plan to ignite public protests that would lead to the collapse of Iran's government, the New York Times has reported.

David Barnea, Mossad's chief, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu days before the US and Israel began their war on Iran and told him that the agency would be able to galvanise Iranian opposition in order to bring about regime change.

Barnea, according to the report, which cites interviews with US and Israeli officials, also presented this proposal to senior US officials during a visit to Washington in mid-January.

The plan was then taken up by Netanyahu and Trump, despite doubts among some senior American officials and Israeli military intelligence. Mossad's promises were, according to US and Israeli officials, used by Netanyahu to convince the US president that collapsing the Iranian government was possible.
In the plan's conception, the war would begin with the killing of Iranian leaders, followed by a "series of intelligence operations intended to encourage regime change". This could, Mossad believed, lead to a mass uprising that would bring about victory for Israel and the US.
