UFO Followers Will Take to the Hills to Pray for Peace

Groups of UFO believers will make the trip to two British hills next weekend to pray for peace and spiritual uplifting.

The members of the Aetherius Society will gather at Pen y Fan, south Wales's highest mountain and The Old Man of Coniston, once the highest point in Lancashire, for ceremonies at the sites they regard as holy mountains.

The society members are advocates of the late George King, who believed there are 17 other holy mountains throughout the world, charged with spiritual energy by extraterrestrials from Venus and Mars, and by other highly evolved spiritual intelligences.

Society spokesman David Trimble said: "Members believe that by chanting mantras and saying prayers on the mountain they can access this energy, and send out light to bring about peace, healing and much-needed spiritual upliftment in the world."

The meetings will be held next Saturday, 25 August, at the sites in the Brecon Beacons and Lake District, where followers of the society believe the hills have been charged with spiritual energy by a cosmic being known as The Full Aspect of Nixies Zero Zero Two.

Mark Bennett, an international director of the Aetherius Society, plans to take part in the pilgrimage to Pen y Fan.

A French quadruple amputee has swum from the US to Asia in the final part of a quest to link all continents.

Philippe Croizon, 44, braved strong currents and near-freezing temperatures on Friday to swim the four kilometres from the US island of Little Diomede to the Russian island of Big Diomede. He said it took him about one hour and 20 minutes.

"This was the hardest swim of my life, with a water temperature of four degrees Celsius and strong currents," the deeply moved Croizon said after reaching the Russian island.

"We made it," he added.

Police arrested the two men in connection with an attempted burglary at a San Antonio martial arts gym Tuesday night - a crime that was foiled by mixed martial arts fighters still inside the building.

It is not the end of the world, it is an alignment of the Universe, where the Sun and the earth will align for the first time. During this transition, the entire Universe will face a big change, and we will see a entire brand new world. German authorities are hunting high and low for a kangaroo that escaped from an animal park near Frankfurt, with the help of a fox and wild boar.

Three kangaroos named Skippy, Jack and Mick on Saturday night bounded through a hole in the fence of their enclosure made by a helpful fox, Michael Hoffmann, deputy head of the animal park near Frankfurt, said.

One unadventurously stayed within the park grounds and was swiftly recaptured. The other two scrabbled to freedom through a hole dug by a wild boar under the park's exterior barriers.

Vets snared one of the refugee pair after a long chase, Mr Hoffmann said, but the third had proved harder to track down.

A real life underdog has captivated Santa Rosa de Temuco, Chile as touching pictures of a dog rescuing her ten-day-old puppies from a house fire while carrying them to safety have become the talk of the net.

A fire broke out at a home in Santa Rosa de Temuco, Chile, on Thursday after a car bomb went off when a German Shepherd mix called Amanda picked up the puppies in her mouth and carried them from the burning house to the safety of the fire truck.

The tree, which was recently felled at Belfast City Cemetery in west Belfast, appears to show the face of a bearded man resembling Jesus on the remaining stump beside a grave.

A video (below) of the mysterious image has been posted to YouTube, with the message:

A family of bears is suspected of having broken into a cabin in northern Norway and polished off over a hundred cans of beer.

"They had a hell of a party in there," cabin owner Even Borthen Nilsen told NRK. "The cabin has the stench of a right old piss up, trash, and bears."

The bear, and three cubs, are reported to have forced their way into the cabin by ripping a wall off.

"The entire cabin was destroyed," Nilsen told the local Finnmarken.no daily.

Nilsen told of how his mother and grandmother were the first to discover the carnage left by the beer-thirsty bears, when they arrived at the cabin in Jarfjord in Finnmarken only to find the place turned over.

"The beds and all kitchen appliances, stove, oven and cupboards and shelves were all smashed to pieces," he said.

And furthermore the bears had finished off all the food and drink in the house - including all the marshmallows, chocolate spread, honey and over 100 cans of beer.

Nilsen explained that excrement on the outside of the cabin left him in no doubt that it was a family of bears which had taken over his cabin for night of feasting and drunken revelry.

"You can see footprints on the windows," he said.

Borthen Nilsen expressed concern that the bears may return to scene of their crime at some point in the future.

"The mother has taken her young there, thus there is no guarantee that it won't happen to other cabins, or to our hut again," he said.

This cat displayed skills worthy of a ninja when it worked out how to open the door of a fridge freezer.

The amusing antics of the cat have been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people after a video of its feat was uploaded to YouTube.

Believed to have been filmed in Prague, in the Czech Republic, the video is called 'the Indiana Jones cat' and has been dubbed with the infamous music from the classic adventure film.

The cat's moves appear to mirror a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where hero Indiana Jones pulls himself up the front of a moving truck.

The painstaking operation starts with the puss turning towards the camera with a knowing look.

He then lines up at the bottom of the fridge freezer and prepares for the pounce.

Parrots are known for repeating what their owners say to them but this cute little talking pup gives it a pretty good shot.

A video posted on YouTube (scroll down below to watch the video) shows the adorable french bulldog melting it's owner's heart when she tells her she loves her.

Dressed in a doggy jumper, the tiny canine barks the words as her owner cuddles her tightly to her chest.

She may not quite be at the stage of holding a conversation, but the term of endearment is clearly audible.

The owner, not expecting her little dog to 'speak' so well, covers her mouth in surprise at the animal's trick, which is actually quite eerie.

But the unnamed pup isn't the first dog to talk.

Mishka the talking Siberian Husky attracted a mass of followers last year when footage of her saying 'I love you', 'hello', 'I'm hungry' and responding 'no' when asked if she is stupid was posted online.

She even has her own Facebook page as well as tribute profiles set up by fans around the world.
