How was your service? Meaning, why did you choose to serve, or were you drafted?
How did you feel about serving after you left?
My father served for 22 years. He was very good at it, apparently. I was raised by a man who had a high distrust of the government and high paranoia when it came to security and general awareness of what was going on around him/us. Some of it rubbed off on me.
He was a loving, skilled man who hated the system and those who ran it, because he joined to serve his country, only to find out he had been duped and lost brothers, and some of his sanity, for the wars created by, and for, rich men, politicians and TPTB. That rubbed off on me too, and most of my siblings.
So, I'm curious. Why did you serve and how do you feel about it?
I'm aware these questions are on a public forum, so feel free to ignore them/me, but I'm curious.
Almost 23 years service. When I think back to my mates, I have fond memories of our time together, the politcs I do not. I do not regret my service. It allowed me to raise my kids in a fairly good environment. The military family support system, at the time, was excellent. Heck, even my son joined for a time. That is another story. Suffice it to say and these are his words, "Whatever the military was when you were in is not that today and worse than you can imagine."
Why no picture of the "grenade" ? Perhpas because it's just a handgrenade-shaped lighter someone carelessly threw into the water ?
BTW, underwater explosive devices are not as simple as it sounds. Just look it up.
Not to mention, if would bring down the dam, I would not have thrown the device into the water, but placed it in the dam wall, preferably a hole I drilled. In the water, the grenade only creates waves ...
”Yes, it is possible to light a human fart underwater, but it is incredibly difficult and requires specific conditions.”
“To help you explore this weird science further, I can explain the chemical composition of flatus or break down the physics of how underwater combustion works. What would you like to explore next?”
There is no way whatever they found will do anything other than disturb a few catfish, the base of the dam is probably a couple of hundred feet wide, total BS
