Add Wikipedia to the growing list of media outlets that are ignoring the memo that Donald Trump won the election and liberals are no longer in charge.

In a revealing new report, the Media Research Center, the conservative news watchdog, said on Monday that Wikipedia has effectively blacklisted new sources that lean right, making it a liberal online encyclopedia based on left-wing media, including those well known for lying about Republicans and Trump and promoting conspiracy theories such as Russiagate.

The blacklisting MRC found was stunning. It said no conservative news sites made the fully trustworthy grade, while just 16% of liberal sites were blocked as sources.

The report said:
"Wikipedia effectively blocks 100% of right-leaning media sources — the ones more likely to give fair treatment to the majority in Congress as well as to incoming officials to the Trump administration. On the contrary, only 16% of left-wing media sources fail to win Wikipedia's stamp of approval."
Some center-right media, such as the Washington Examiner, made the Wiki grade just under the top one, "Generally reliable," with a judgment of "No consensus." Others, including the MRC, which hosts news sites including Newsbusters, were graded a lower judgment of "Generally unreliable."

Report author Luis Cornelio said,
"Among the effectively blackballed media sources are Breitbart, The Daily Caller, Daily Mail, Newsmax, OANN, and the Media Research Center.

"Meanwhile, leftist media like The Atlantic, Jacobin, Mother Jones, Pro-Publica, the Guardian, and National Public Radio are given the green light.

"This blatant misinformation means that Wikipedia is purposely feeding Americans information exclusively through the lens of one side of the political spectrum — the left."
Cornelio and Dan Schneider, the vice president of MRC Free Speech America, wrote in the Daily Wire:
"This imbalanced treatment is intentional and tactical. It is a deliberate effort to exclude right-of-center perspectives from the online discourse, with the obvious goal of disparaging, slandering and maligning anyone who opposes the radical left agenda."
Secrets teams with MRC for its weekly feature, Liberal Media Scream, which highlights the most outrageous left-wing media rant of the previous week.

Cornelio and Schneider said that in downplaying to blacklisting conservative news outlets, entries in Wikipedia are distorted, especially those about conservatives.
"This manipulation of information extends beyond just blacklisting certain sources — it actively distorts political narratives. Due to the systemic bias in Wikipedia's sourcing policies, the pages on Trump's appointees are overwhelmingly shaped by left-leaning media, presenting a skewed, and often hostile, portrayal of these individuals. The same treatment is not applied to Democratic figures, whose pages benefit from friendlier coverage and selective omission of controversies."
