In an update issued just after 10am Sunday local time, the Fiji Times reported Ba town was underwater, with Vinod Patel park and main street Ba flooded, and the Elevuka creek had burst its banks.
Vehicles have been stopped by Fiji Police Force officers from entering the town area and all shops are closed.
Road access from Ba to Tavua is also closed due to flooding at Wailailai Flats.
In a a statement on Saturday night, Minister for Disaster Management Sakiasi Dikota said they had confirmed reports of flooding in the Western and Northern parts of Fiji, and floodwaters had entered Nadi town.
Some of the major rivers in the Western and Northern divisions were above alert or warning levels.
Fiji's Meteorological Service issued another heavy rain warning for the whole Fiji group on Sunday morning.
Flash flood warnings were also issued for all flash flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of Vanua Levu and western Viti Levu, with an alert for all flash flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas across the country.
Flood warnings and alerts were also put in place for flood-prone areas adjacent and downstream of several rivers.
"The general public is advised to limit any unnecessary travel into flooded areas especially at night."
The Metservice said Nadarivatu weather station recorded 416.5mm of rainfall in 24 hours.
Several other stations had more than 200mm of rainfall in 24 hours, including Waikubukubu (266.5mm) Toge (223.5mm) and Nanoko (221.5mm).
Evacuation centres can be found on the Fiji National Disaster Management Office website.
People are advised to contact the Fiji Police Force on 917 or the National Fire Authority on 910 should they need assistance to move to higher ground.
