So we're trying something a little different; the first episode of our latest series, "Overlooked: Lost in The Shining Hotel" is out! [Link]
The series is a (very) deep dive into the quantum layers of meaning to be found in Stephen King/Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" and how it relates to where we are now. There are a total of five episodes (but there may possibly be a sixth).
The series starts with the foundation of "The Environment". Words often get taken for granted, but they have power and gravity, and their meanings are important. "Environment," according to our giant old 1897 Webster's Dictionary, is defined as, "That which environs or surrounds; surrounding conditions, influences, or forces, by which living forms are influenced and modified in their growth and development."
We must walk the past to find the future. If we cannot understand how we got here, how can we even truly know where we are? This novel and film have a bunch of clues... and it has been said, even by people who worked on it, that the film is a puzzle.
