I happen to live 300kms away from Chelyabinsk, where a large bolide exploded earlier today. Here are all the videos I could find featuring the massive explosion and its effects.

Who needs the Sun when meteors are brighter?!

The meteor was seen hundreds of kilometers from Chelyabinsk, where it actually exploded. Here's a video from my home town, 300km away from Chelyabinsk:

The farthest video right now: Orenburg, 770km from Chelyabinsk:

This video is from Ekaterinburg, 200km away from Chelyabinsk:

My Dad has lived in Chelyabinsk for 24 years; he says this building is really old, so no surprise it was destroyed by the shock wave.

I personally was sleeping and didn't witness the event, but my Dad did. He was driving in his car when he suddenly saw the fireball approaching the ground. It looked like it was going to hit the road right in front of him, so Dad immediately pushed on the brakes. When the meteor exploded and there was no sound of it, he understood that it was far, far away. Indeed, the meteor was 300 kilometers away, and 40km up.
