President 'doesn't seem to be limited at all by the constraints of our system'Because President Obama and his staff seem to care more about "good intentions" and political posturing than sound policy and have little respect for the constraints of executive power, the Obamacare disaster is about to get much worse for Americans, a former Secret Service agent who once protected Obama believes.
Dan Bongino, who resigned from the elite Presidential Protective Division in 2011 and now is running for Congress, told
WND in an interview that Obama doesn't seem to understand the level of outrage among the populace toward his health care law.
"It's obvious right now to just about all of America that this thing has been an abysmal failure," he said of Obamacare. But Obama "cares more about political successes than he does policy successes."
Bongino, author of the newly released book
Life Inside the Bubble: Why a Top-Ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away from It All, learned first-hand how Obamacare is affecting the nation when he lost his own health insurance plan and was faced with a premium spike along with worse coverage, as
WND reported.
"For as bad as you think this is, we haven't even seen the health-care apocalypse coming once the employer mandate kicks in and that website actually works, and people start to see the pricing for real," he said.
'Proud of its good intentions'In his book, Bongino, 39, said it seemed to him as he served the president as a Secret Service agent
that the Obama White House staff "lived in a utopian bubble devoid of any acknowledgment of real-world consequences.""They spoke of policies in an idealistic way, rather than how to apply legislative solutions to the real world," he writes. "When a policy not only failed to produce the desired result but in some cases produced the exact opposite result, it was ignored."
He writes that the administration "looks on with a blind eye, seemingly proud of its good intentions yet complete lack of results."
Bogino told
WND he's worried about where Obamacare is headed, because
the president "doesn't seem to have any respect for the limits of executive power."
"I don't mean that to sound conspiratorial - I'm not trying to sound black-helicopter here, and I don't want to frighten anybody - but he doesn't seem to be limited at all by the constraints built in to our system of government," he said.Where could the president take Obamacare?
"I don't know," Bongino told
WND. "Does he force by executive order doctors to accept Medicaid patients and Obamacare patients, even those who are in the process of getting insurance?"
What scares him, he said, is the fact that he doesn't know the answer to those questions. "I'd rather give you a hard answer on that," he said. But ultimately, he believes the policy can't work, and for that reason it will be repealed with a large number of Democrat votes.
He explains in his book that "many of the bureaucrats and staffers within the Washington, D.C., bubble who had a role in the design of Obamacare legislation were well aware of the media reports about the unpopularity of this legislation, and in an effort to save their careers, they relayed a completely different message to the president."
Bongino, citing clear statements Obama and other Democrat leaders have made, is certain that the intent of Obamacare all along was to move the country toward a single-payer, or socialized, medical system run by the government.
Obamacare itself, he argued, is private insurance "in name only."
"Once you can own the mechanics of the private insurance industry through state exchanges, you can tax and regulate them to death, and you, effectively, already have a single-payer system," he told
WND.
Contract with the peopleAs
WND reported Wednesday, Bongino, in his run for Congress in Maryland's Sixth District, is "signing a contract" with citizens - featured on the splash page of his website - to help him avoid the corruption into which so many lawmakers fall in the nation's capital. He has the endorsement of former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., who said Bongino left the Secret Service at the height of his success "because he is an American patriot and the embodiment of the highest standards of honor, integrity and character ... exactly what we need inside the bubble."
Watch Bongino's interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News:
In his book, Bongino says his "path into politics had a clear mission: to sound the alarm on what I had learned living inside the 'D.C. bubble' by highlighting the very real consequences of an ever-expanding government and its insulated bureaucracy."
Bongino began his career in law enforcement with the NYPD in 1995. He joined the Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent assigned to investigate financial crimes. In 2006, he joined the Presidential Protective Division in the administration of President George W. Bush and remained on protective duty during the change in administration to Obama.

Art Moore entered the media world as a public relations assistant for the Seattle Mariners and a correspondent covering pro and college sports for Associated Press Radio. He reported for a Chicago-area daily newspaper and was senior news writer for Christianity Today magazine and an editor for Worldwide Newsroom before joining WND shortly after 9/11. He earned a master's degree in communications from Wheaton College.

Do not succumb to the darkness of apathy, for you know not what light tomorrow may bring.
If the US goes down, it won't stop there. It's a global thing now, you know.
This article is a perfect example of the Hegelian mind-f*** the system deploys to control our minds and occupy (if not enslave) our spirits. You have a gentleman with seemingly inside information articulating many of the actual problems of Obamacare, sucking us in like any snake-oil preacher, but then he calls it a step toward universal government-run health care (horrors!), when in fact it is the complete opposite, a capitulation to the for-profit death care industry under the cover of liberal sentiments and government mandates requiring everyone to get or offer private prescription drug-based health care coverage. For an ex-bodyguard for Obama not to acknowledge the ridiculous extremes Obama went to prevent any government role in the ACA is just staggering, although unfortunately most of the drug-programmed populace shares the absurd belief that it is a government-run health care plan.
โฆ and how they act. Like this. Every f'ing lie a conversion of what is actually happening. Yes, the US is doomed. And they will take everyone else with themโฆ to hell. They are psychopaths.
