Hierarchies make some people dependent on others, blame the dependent for their dependency, and then use that dependency as a justification for further exercise of authority.

Why worry about a few trees? A single odd incident proves nothing. The preponderance of evidence paints a political picture full of "men behind curtains." For all we know, B of A plans to make a donation to every political candidate. Do they really care who wins or do they simply want to pump up the public volume on the presidential campaign so that other events that are actually much more important will go unnoticed?
Perry does seem like an odd ball. But then so does Paul. Yet these candidates all have real support, along with Palin, though less than the more moderate front-runners.
But what if Obama is the guy who is actually chosen to continue in office? Then I'd fan the flames of every Republican campaign with any amount of popular support and let them destroy each other.
Who knows what B of A and the other big corporate players are really trying to do? Hard to say unless someone on the inside decides to spill the beans. But that's where my interest lies; not on what bizarre thing Perry decides to say next.
