Baltic 'UFO': New Dive, New Details

A "UFO-shaped" object, found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea last year, has puzzled many. And a Swedish expedition that plunged into the deep eventually surfaced with more questions than answers.

Covered in soot, with little "fireplace"-like structures and lying at the end of a 300-meter "runway" - this is not something you would expect to find sitting on the sea floor. And whatever you think about extraterrestrial life, "the thing" is still there and there has to be an explanation. So what could it be?

On June 19, 2011, a team of Swedish treasure hunters was exploring the bottom of the Baltic Sea with their sonars when they noticed a bizarre, disc-like structure at a depth of 90 meters.

Back then, international experts failed to explain the sonar images. In 2012, after months of preparation, the Ocean X Team, as they call themselves, went back in order to unveil the mystery.

"We've heard lots of different kinds of explanations, from George Lucas's spaceship - the Millennium Falcon - to 'It's some kind of plug to the inner world,' like it should be hell down there or something," The Daily Mail quoted one of the founders of the Ocean X Team, Peter Lindberg, as saying.

UFOs? Orange lights seen over Buckingham

Pennsylavania, US - A Doylestown Patch reader wrote in late Saturday night to report a strange sight.

She said she saw about nine orange lights in the sky as she and her family were driving on Cold Spring Creamery Road.

"We all saw at least nine orange lights in close proximity to each other and moving perilously close to one another in and out of a kind of formation," she wrote. "They hung around for at least a couple of minutes. Suddenly the majority broke away and very quickly disappeared, while two traveled in our direction (we turned into the Hearthstone development where we live) for a while and disappeared just as fast."

Mystery disc-like object stumps Baltic Sea divers

Underwater treasure hunters photograph object as conspiracy theorists claim hoax.

A crew of Swedish divers scavenging the Baltic Sea for treasures has shared new images of their baffling discovery - a large disc-shaped object settled on the seabed.

In a press release that sounds as if it were inspired by the underwater sci-fi film The Abyss, the unidentified object is described as circular, with rounded sides and rugged edges.

"The object had an egg-shaped hole leading into it from the top, as an opening," the release said, drawing comparisons from several media outlets to the fictional Millenium Falcon spacecraft featured in Star Wars.

Stefan Hogeborn, one of the divers in the expedition, said he was perplexed by the shape and structure of the circular object, which is about 60 metres in diameter and rises three to four metres from the seabed. That's roughly the size of a jumbo jet.

Adding to the mystery, the object was also reported to have a 400-metre-long trail leading away from it, similar in appearance to skid marks. Another smaller disc-shaped object was found nearby, also with apparent drag lines about the same length.

The Ocean Explorer team that first laid claim to the find last year also described stone circle formations resembling "small fireplaces" and covered in a residue resembling soot.

Wampus: Mystery creature in the US

Not to be confused with the Star Wars Wampa, let's discuss the Wampus.

Wampus of the Cherokee: What is it? Werewolf, mystery cat, booger?

One of the name games I've investigated is the weirdness-linked place moniker "Wampus," which can be found around the country. George R. Stewart's American Place Names (NY: Oxford University Press 1970) has this for "Wampus": "In New York the pond is from the name of a local chief. In Oregon the butte is from a legendary monster of the forest." (p. 520)

I have found in old Southern newspaper accounts that "Wampus" was a name used for an unknown monster cat as well as other mystery animals. It is very akin to how the name "Booger" was used, mostly for hairy unknown primates' habitat in that case, but sometimes for mystery panther haunts, as well. Henry Franzoni has found a total of 18 places in the US and Canada named for Wampus, including Wampsville NY, and Wampos lake in Saskatchewan.

Unexplained, low-intensity tremors being felt on a daily basis in south Mumbai over the last few weeks

A series of unexplained, low-intensity tremors being felt on a daily basis in two separate pockets in south Mumbai over the last few weeks have forced office-goers to ask for a detailed seismological investigation of the area.

The offices being affected include the higher floors in a row of buildings, particularly Bharat House and Apollo House, at Bombay Samachar Marg in Kala Ghoda, and the Western Railway's headquarters and administrative buildings on both sides of the road at Churchgate. The tremors occur between 4 and 6 pm every day, almost like clockwork, and last about 2-3 seconds.

Western Railway has written a letter to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) asking them to look into the matter, trace the cause of the tremors, and advise if there is any potential danger to the buildings. When contacted, Sharat Chandrayan, the chief public relations officer at WR, confirmed: "Certain employees working on the higher floors of the administrative building were feeling tremors at certain times of the day. We have sent a letter to the IMD to conduct a thorough scientific investigation."

At least a dozen "tweeps" - Twitter users - point to Mitchellville as one more location that proves we earthlings are not alone.

Last week the worldwide nonprofit group Mutual UFO Network reported an alleged UFO sighting that occurred in Mitchellville on June 5.

A reported sighting of a UFO over Huntington Beach has been affirmed . . . in New Mexico.

Four unidentified Surf Citizens were looking at random things in the sky through a backyard telescope just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday when, through naked eyes, a red object was observed hanging just above the horizon.

"It was a bright red dot looking thing, and it just stood there at 35 degrees from the horizon on the north side for about 20 seconds and then moved slowly to the left (west) and suddenly changed direction to go up as in altitude and then vanished into thin air," reads a report collected by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and posted on UFOstalker.com.

False flag alien invasion possible at Olympics Games, warns U-turning former MoD UFO 'expert'

Nick Pope

One of the UK's top UFO experts has given his views on the likelihood of aliens suddenly appearing in our skies - and how the international community would respond.

Nick Pope, who has more than two decades under his belt at the Ministry of Defence, said mass summer events - like the Olympic Games in London - would be a prime time for crafts from otherworlds to present themselves to mankind.

He warned: 'With the summer of mass events we are all on high alert for terrorism. But we must also cast our eyes further afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable."

Pope's duties at the MoD included investigating reports of UFOs between 1991 and 1994, and says he began his research as a sceptic, before becoming convinced that the sightings raised important defence for national security and air safety issues.

Comment: On his own website MOD agent Nick Pope (of questionable reliability) discusses the absurdity of such a false flag event occurring???
One of the most bizarre conspiracy theories being discussed at present is the idea that a fake alien attack will be staged at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

[...]

I'm personally skeptical about a false flag alien invasion theory, but it's a failsafe prediction because if it doesn't happen, its supporters will doubtless claim that by disclosing the details, they prematurely exposed and thereby thwarted the New World Order's fiendish plans.

Missile, UFO or cometary fragment? Thousands of people in Jordan and Israel witness spinning 'Catherine Wheel' in the sky

Thousands of people in Israel, Turkey and Jordan got the shock of their lives yesterday, as they watched a spinning 'UFO' performing cartwheels in the sky.

Police in these countries - as well as in Cyprus and Lebanon - were flooded with phonecalls by panicked residents, as the white, gleaming light danced high up in the atmosphere.

Theories abounded over what this could be - a failing missile test, a satellite breaking up in our atmosphere, or a visit from an alien spacecraft.
