A UFO watcher in Texas used a technique known as "skyfishing" over the weekend in the hopes of catching something "out of the ordinary." What he captured on camera has at least UFO enthusiasts and the local media talking.

According to the description of the video posted to YouTube, skyfishing involves filming an area with reference points in view for a length of time and reviewing the footage later.

On Saturday, Mario Vallejo recorded the sky for about an hour in San Antonio, according to KENS-TV.

A West Coast man is 'freaked out' after coming face to face last night with what he claims was a UFO, parked on the road outside the entrance to Shantytown.

Matthew Robert, a mechanic from Rutherglen, insists he is not alone and that three other cars were also confronted by the night-time visitor on Rutherglen Road, south of Greymouth, about 8.45pm.

When the car-shaped object suddenly lifted into the sky in a blinding light, he and the other drivers left in such a hurry they left skid marks on the road.

"I was changing a CD as I was driving and when I looked up I saw what looked like a car without its lights on, stopped in the middle of the road outside Shantytown. I slammed on my brakes and my eyes were still trying to focus, when suddenly the thing just lit up and shot into the sky," Mr Robert said.

"When I came to my senses I noticed that there were three other cars that had stopped on the other side of the road as well. It's weird that no one else has come forward because those people obviously would have seen the same thing I did."

Spontaneous Human Combustion! Baby erupts in flames

Three-month-old Rahul, who is admitted in the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital (KMCH) in Chennia with 10 degree burn injuries because of a condition called spontaneous human combustion (SHC), is stable, doctors said Saturday.

"The baby is stable and treatment is on for burn injuries and scars. Life-saving support systems are there for Rahul in the intensive care unit," R. Narayana Babu, head of pediatrics at the hospital told on Saturday.

He said the baby will be under observation and may be discharged after two weeks depending on his condition.

Doctors say that in SHC, burns are caused as the body catches fire because of the excretion of gases.

"The mother told us that the baby has suffered four episodes of such spontaneous fire and suffered burn injuries. The last episode was a month back. The baby was admitted to the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) (in Puducherry)," R. Jayachandran a professor in the department of pediatrics at KMC said.

Mystery over flashing lights in Dorset sky

Could these lights be proof of an extra-terrestrial visit to Dorset? Echo reader Mark Lichtensteiger snapped the pictures when he stopped at the beauty spot overlooking Zig Zag Hill.

He said: "At first I thought it was some sort of helicopter display or formation but when the lights disappeared there was absolutely nothing there.

"They came back on and then kept flashing on and off, all at different times.

"There must have been five or six lights, which were all stationary in the sky."

Mr Lichtensteiger, of Gillingham, said he was 'baffled' by what the lights could have been.

"I've asked a few people, and even checked it out with the Army, but no one seems to know.

"It does fuel your imagination a bit."

He added that the lights, which were sighted at the beauty spot near Shaftesbury, attracted a lot of attention from passers-by, who stopped to have a look.

Question

What created this mysterious Siberian crater?

When Vadim Kolpakov went on an expedition to the north of Irkutsk region, he had no inkling of the sensational discovery he was about to make.

Having an official task to draw up a geological map of the region, a young geologist ended up running into something so unique, outstanding and mysterious that it would still puzzle scientists more than six decades later - the Patomskiy crater.

A host of theories have been put forward in the intervening years: that the crater was created by an ancient civilisation, or by prisoners at a top secret Stalin labour camp, or by volcanic activity, or by a meteorite, or by an underground hydrogen explosion, or by a UFO. And even more tantalising: by two UFOs.

Stories have been handed down by native people - who knew about the 'cursed crater' long before Kolpakov revealed it to the outside world. Among these accounts, were warnings that this 'Devil's Place' was dangerous to humans.

Questions remain unanswered about a phenomenon that has been called 'The Most Mysterious Place in Russia'. For example, why don't trees grow on the side of the cone-like structure? Radiation levels are low now, but there is evidence they were once very high: why?

Despite a number of expeditions by eminent scientists, no-one has yet come up with an undisputed answer to what - or who - created this strange structure. A new mission to the remote crater is due in the coming months seeking to finally answer this question.

Spooked baboons baffle Dutch zoo in Emmen

Staff at a zoo in the Netherlands say they are baffled by their baboons, who have spent days sitting still, huddled together in fear and hardly eating.

The behaviour started on Monday evening, and only now are the 112 baboons becoming their normal, active selves again, said a biologist at Emmen Zoo.

The zoo still has no idea what spooked the hamadryas baboons, but it is a good sign that some are now eating apples, biologist Wijbren Landman said.

The zoo last saw such hysteria in 2007.

"What frightened them? We don't know, it's a mystery. There have been many suggestions - an earthquake, escaped snakes, aliens, thunder," Mr Landman told BBC News.

Milton-Freewater, Oregon - Here's one for the unexplained mystery files - a spooky image captured during a photo shoot.

Do you see what's to the right of the tree? Kind of looks like a figure of a person, doesn't it? And it's got Nathan Ziegler, the photographer, more than a little baffled.

You see, he set up a camera at the Old Pioneer Cemetery in Milton-Freewater, Ore., and let it run on its own for a few hours. What he wanted was a nice time-lapse of the sunset. What he got was a strange image that appears only in one frame and then disappears. Ziegler shows what he captured in this video:

Question

Worst crop circles ever! What happened to the patterns that delighted and baffled the world?

Just 15 poor attempts at crop circles have appeared in Wiltshire this year

Last year, seasoned crop artists had already produced more than 50

Tourists and those hoping for an alien encounter used to flock to the county

But this year's attempts have been met with derision by enthusiasts

A crackdown by farmers has deterred many top crop circle makers

Their intricate designs and the shear impressive size of them takes meticulous planning and precision execution.

And the resulting crop circle, while illegal and irritating to the farmer whose field has been targeted, is usually visually stunning.

But while some crop circles are remembered for their perfect symmetry and unique patterns, others are slightly less impressive.

A series of recent attempts at producing circles have been been met with much derision by fans of the field art after they recently appeared in Wiltshire.
