Propaganda alert! Clinton campaign manager squirms through 'Russian hacker' interview

Robby Mook
Robby Mook
This is how the Clinton machine does propaganda.

It is beyond amazing that Hillary and her corrupt cronies, pulled a "Russia did it" card out of thin air in order to distract from all her foundation kick backs and email 'bleachbiting'.

Now the narrative is mainstream, actually believed by many journalists (who are coincidentally on Clinton's payroll), and even puts the world at risk for full scale global war.

Reckless Hillary, doing anything to cover up her criminal tracks.

Her campaign manager, Robby Mook, is pushing the "Russian hacker" line hard in this interview with Chris Wallace.

Watch Mook, from the 5 minute mark onwards, mention "Russia" seven times. He even falsely says that this is now confirmed by the intelligence community, which is an outright lie.

'Peace not yet on the horizon': Major geopolitical shifts as U.S. loses Syria

The military initiative passed into the hands of the Syrian army. There's an attempt to divert the jihadists from Iraq to Syria

The past days brought a greater dynamism in the Syrian crisis. The accusations against Russia for the bombings in Aleppo by the Western Allies, the new stage of the Turkish operation "Euphratean shield", the assault on the Iraqi city of Mosul, along with the unexpected recognition of the status of Crimea by Syria, and the subsequent telephone conversation between Putin and Assad - all this has a strategic military and geopolitical explanation.

Comment: For all of their violent and bombastic rhetoric the US can do nothing to keep Russia from claiming her place in the sun, and protecting her vital interests as she does so. As Joe Quinn wrote in a recent SOTT Focus:
[T]he existential threat of a 'hot war' between Russia and the USA is more the stuff of nightmares and propaganda than reality. The reality is that the 'exceptional' USA is all out of options, including nuclear, when it comes to impeding Russia's emergence as a major world power with global influence.

U.S. threatens war crimes charges against Russia - but the charges will never stick

Western threats to bring war crimes charges against Syria and Russia because of the bombing in Aleppo are neither factually founded nor legally possible because of fundamental jurisdictional issues.

Amidst the din of the media campaign against Russian actions in Aleppo, one of the most specious and cynical threats made against the Russians and Syrians is that they might one day face prosecution on war crimes charges.

There is no legal basis for these threats, and the Western political leaders and media commentators who make them know this.

Firstly the Russian and Syrian bombing of eastern Aleppo is almost certainly not a war crime.

Establishment's Choice: Leaked Insider Emails Reveal E.L. Rothschild CEO 'Crafting Economic Message' for Clinton Campaign

clinton rothschilds
The Clintons with Sir Evelyn and Lady Lynn de Rothschild, who spent their honeymoon at the Clinton White House in late 2000
Emails from Lynn Forester de Rothschild (who controls many corporations and whose husband Sir Evelyn de Rothschild allegedly owns $20 billion), to Hillary Clinton, via Cheryl Mills, on how "to craft the economic message for Hillary" and warning Hillary's campaign-staff that Senator Elizabeth Warren deceives voters. It's signed affectionately "Xoxo Lynn." Lady Rothschild attacks Elizabeth Warren's having criticized America's rigged-by-and-for-the-rich system. Rothschild implicitly praises Bill & Hillary as heroes championing the system, and she says — using the 'reporting' by the Wall Street Journal instead of her own words (since she can't supply analysis of her own) — that Elizabeth Warren is deceiving voters in order to run for the White House against Hillary. This is Lady Rothschild trying to help her friend, 'Queen' Clinton, even while having nothing really to say, other than to paste in 'reporting' by Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, demeaning Warren as, in effect, a dishonest demagog.

Comment: Lynn Forester has always supported the Clintons, since before she married into the Rothschilds. She served as an 'advisor' in the first Clinton administration, regularly raises funds for both Clintons' political campaigns, and even spent her honeymoon with her new banking 'knight' in the Clinton White House (yuck!).

An 'obsessed neocon stalker' from The Times takes on RT

The Times used to be regarded as Britain's newspaper of record. But in recent years, the historic title, once renowned for its sober and balanced coverage, has morphed into a crude neo-con propaganda organ.

It's shilling endlessly for US-led wars and 'interventions' and attacking - often in the most obnoxious way possible - those who dare to question the War Party narrative. Needless to say, RT - which urges its viewers to 'Question More' (a very dangerous thing in an age of Imperial Truth Enforcement) - has been in the Times' line of fire.

In fact, over one weekend at the end of July and the beginning of August - a time when most normal people turn their mind to things like ice cream, sun loungers and beaches - the Murdoch-owned newspaper ran at least six articles on RT (and attack pieces on Russia's Sputnik news agency too, making it a total of seven Russian-media-focused hit-pieces in just two and a half days).

These pieces are not just about criticizing RT, which of course everyone has the right to do. They also seem to be about trying to exert pressure on regulatory bodies to go after RT and take action against a channel that doesn't toe the neo-con editorial line.

Comment: Support for RT and questioning of censorship in the UK press is growing indeed.

South Front: Results of the Russian military campaign in Syria

This video is the continuation of our previous analysis: "Russia's First Year of Operations in Syria"

On September 30, 2015 Russia announced the start of anti-terrorist operation in Syria and the Russian Aerospace Forces begun to deliver air strikes on terrorist targets, with especial attention to Jabhat Al-Nusra and ISIS, across the country. During consecutive year, the Russian military deployed additional contingent of military advisers and increased military supplies to assist the Syrian government forces.

In September, 2015, despite the direct Iranian support, the pro-government forces were in retreat on all fronts. US officials and analysts estimated that the Assad forces will be able to survive not more than 5-7 months.

This is why the provinces of Latakia, Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor and the Damascus countryside became the main areas of close operational support provided by the Russian military to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the National Defense Forces (NDF), Hezbollah and other pro-government groups.

Bernie Sanders says Obama should 'kill' AT&T-Time Warner merger

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders
© Brian Snyder/ReutersU.S. Senator Bernie Sanders wonders if he should hit up the Salvation Army to see if they have any new bean bag chairs or lava lamps.
Senator Bernie Sanders has criticised AT&T's proposed $85 billion deal to buy Time Warner Media, saying the merger would result in "higher prices and fewer choices for the American people."

Sanders called on the Obama administration on Twitter to: "kill the Time Warner/AT&T merger. This deal would mean higher prices and fewer choices for the American people."

Comment: The amount of stupid in this tweet is staggering. Sanders' formula is: "Gotta milk the discontent with big business - so make silly claims whenever anything big happens and say that it leads to higher prices and fewer choices, because economics."Let's see:
  1. Create de facto monopolies supported by poorly implemented and nonsensical regulations that make it prohibitively expensive for competitors to enter the market.
  2. Blame everything on lassez-faire capitalism.
  3. Repeat for awhile.
  4. Realize that repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting different results is silly.
  5. Tell the president to create the reality you expected but failed to achieve thus far.

Goldman Sachs CEO says 'of course we engage' with Hillary Clinton, admits support

Goldman Sachs
© Brendan McDermid/Reuters
CEO of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein, has publicly admitted to being "supportive" of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, saying: "Yes, so flat out, yes, I do."

The billionaire revoked his previous promise to Bloomberg that he would not be revealing which candidate he is backing by telling CNN host Fareed Zakaria: "I'm supportive of Hillary Clinton," on Sunday's episode of 'GPS'.

Comment: This is more or less the "kiss of death" for Hillary. Considering all the ire against Wall St. Bankers, Hlilary's corporatism has been a huge thorn in her side with most voters. If Blankfein really did support Hillary, he would have kept his mouth shut - and a Goldman Sachs man is no fool.

Drone films Iraqi army piling up forces near Mosul before attack on ISIS

Iraqi army pulls back

Spectacular drone footage released by RT's RUPTLY video agency shows the Iraqi army amassing its forces at the gates of Mosul, preparing to retake the city on Monday as the large-scale government offensive enters its second week.

Scores of Iraqi army armored vehicles have been stationed at a camp on the southeast edge of Iraq's second-largest city, which has been for two years an Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) stronghold. The footage captures vehicles surrounded by the Iraqi army servicemen scattered on the vast camp territory. Some of the excavators are still digging up trenches in last-minute preparations for what is anticipated as a pinnacle of the operation that has been under way for a week already.

RT Arabic correspondent Ashraf Al Azzawi described the situation on the ground south of Mosul in his latest report. While retreating, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants are making sure nothing valuable is left behind, as they not only kill people and destroy monuments but also bring down government buildings, and set fire to oil wells, refinery and pumping stations, bringing the liberated areas around Mosul to the brink of an environmental disaster.

"The IS militants set ablaze an oil well near Qayyarah [a town 30km south of Mosul] before they retreated, which is still burning," the reporter said, adding that the black smoke has spread over a vast area, reaching the combat zone.

Best of the Web: The Rise of China: What it Means for the World - Interview with Jeff Brown

china
Punto Press, a small press dedicated to progressive titles, has published China Rising: Capitalist Roads, Socialist Destinations by Jeff J. Brown. The book is an effort to educate fellow Westerners about the realities of China and demolish the multiple layers of western disinformation and propaganda that demonize this nation with a 5000-year history.

Brown has gravitas to write such a book. First, he is fluent in Mandarin (as well as learning Portuguese, Arabic, and French). Second, he has lived 13 years in China, currently in Shenzhen. He has also traveled to most of its regions. This served as a foundation for a political travelog Brown wrote, 44 Days Backpacking in China: The Middle Kingdom in the 21st Century, with the United States, Europe and the Fate of the World in Its Looking Glass.

In addition to his years of having lived in China, Brown's having grown up in Oklahoma and having graduated from Oklahoma State University has provided him an ringside seat from which to compare and analyze the imperialist war-making United States and the anti-imperialist rise of China, now in concert with Russia, described in rich, colloquial detail (e.g., Brown refers to the Chinese government as Baba Beijing; a colloquialism that I'd translate to as Big Daddy Beijing) in China Rising. I carried out an email interview with Jeff Brown to illuminate western media fabrications about China and to examine US political and military machinations against the next preeminent economic power, a socialist nation whose rise can be viewed as an ominous signal portending capitalism's demise, or at least its competitive equal.
