Trump's call with Putin marks a shift in global power

US-Russian relations will now return to their 'factory settings', but the key here is the end of Western overreach.

The long-anticipated phone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump has finally taken place, sending shock waves through the geopolitical landscape. But before anyone gets carried away with triumph or despair, it's worth recognizing what has actually happened: Russian-US relations have simply returned to their natural state - one of strategic rivalry, conflicting interests, and fundamental differences in worldview.

For decades, the US pursued a fantasy - one where it could reshape Russia in its own image, first through incentives and later through coercion. Washington believed it could mold Moscow into a compliant partner within the 'liberal international order', an illusion that only collapsed when reality hit: Russia was never going to be remade. Meanwhile, Moscow spent years trying to find common ground, adjusting its own policies in hopes of reaching a workable coexistence. That experiment, too, ended a decade ago.

Comment: Russia will see it as a plus if some more common sense and adult approach will be coming from the US even if it has learned the hard way not to expect too much from the US.

Is a Grand Bargain between US and Russia in the works?

The Grand Bargain could lead to a complete overhaul of the global order.

[Originally posted on I-System TrendCompass] Last month Donald Trump suggested that he would end the war in Ukraine as a gift to the Russian people. The terms of that peace, as far as we know from General Kellogg's peace plan are unacceptable to Russia and will certainly be rejected. In a subsequent interview Vladimir Putin suggested that the US and Russia should have friendly relations but that they should discuss bigger issues than the war in Ukraine.

He did not elaborate, leaving us to try and guess what the big agenda could be. We know that the Kremlin and many other powers including China, India and Iran are keenly interested in redrawing the Eurasian continent's security architecture and also improving global economic, financial and trade relations.

Since the post World War II period, these relations have heavily favored the Western world in general, but especially the United States. As a result, the West will resist any real changes. However, judging by the statements of Trump's Secretary of State during his confirmation hearing last month, the current administration may have adopted a different approach.

Tulsi Gabbard, President Donald Trump's pick for director of national intelligence, got the much awaited final Senate vote Wednesday on her nomination to oversee and coordinate the work of America's 18 different intelligence agencies.

Gabbard is now the US Director Of National Intelligence and was appointed after Republicans fell in line following a pressure campaign by Trump allies, including Elon Musk.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence was created to address intelligence failures exposed by the September 11, 2001, attacks.

'The FCC will hold broadcasters accountable for complying with their public interest obligations,' Brendan Carr says

Federal Communication Commission chairman Brendan Carr has opened an investigation into a radio station backed by left-wing billionaire George Soros that broadcasted live locations of undercover Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

A group backed Soros, a far-left kingmaker, purchased a stake in more than 200 Audacy radio stations across America last year. Among them was the San Francisco-based KCBS 740 AM, which has come under fire for revealing live locations of undercover ICE vehicles and agents that were conducting deportation operations in the San Jose area.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna believes 'there were 2 shooters' in JFK assassination

GOP rep leads task force probing 'federal secrets'

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), the head of a new congressional task force aimed at exposing "federal secrets," said Tuesday that she believes "two shooters" were involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The task force — which will also probe pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's client list — intends to build on the Trump administration's efforts to declassify records related to the assassinations of JFK, his brother Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D-NY) and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., and will start with a "thorough investigation" of JFK's November 1963 shooting death in Dallas, Texas.

"Based on what I've been seeing so far, the initial hearing that was actually held here in Congress was actually faulty in the single-bullet theory," Luna said during a Capitol Hill press conference, referring to the Warren Commission.

"I believe that there were two shooters," she added.

Donald Trump plans to displace Palestinians from Gaza and build a riviera on their land

US President Donald Trump's announcement of a plan to take over the Gaza Strip and forcibly expel its Palestinian population was met with widespread outrage, with even the US closest allies rejecting the idea as unacceptable and illegal.

During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump said:
"We'll own it [the Gaza strip] and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out. Create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area ... do a real job, do something different. We will build a riviera in the Middle East. We will make sure that it is done world-class. It will be wonderful for the people [...] We're going to give people a chance to live in a beautiful community that will be safe [...] I have a feeling that, despite everything, the king of Jordan and the general in Egypt will open their hearts and give us the kind of land that we need to do this... I've talked to other leaders in the Middle East and they like the idea. They say it would really bring stability."

Comment: Apparently everyone has had 'a say'. Trump should purchase the Gaza strip from the Palestinians, send the entire cleanup bill to Netanyahu, restore the basics and sell it back to the Palestinians for $1, deed included.

Tucker Carlson accuses Ukraine of reselling US-supplied arms to Mexican drug cartels

Several bombshell claims were made on Tucker Carlson's show while he interviewed Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a retired United States Army officer who was awarded a Bronze Star for valor in Afghanistan.

Carlson stated that billions of dollars' worth of US arms are being siphoned off and sold to America's enemies. While the black market arms trade in Ukraine during the war has long been documented, including in mainstream media sources, Carlson and his guest Col. Davis agreed that many weapons have made it into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, among other criminal organizations.

Ukraine receives American weapons, they are skimmed by Ukrainian military officials, who then sell them to the cartels, the show asserted.

Quoted by RIA Novosti, Carlson said:
"They sell weapons to drug cartels... the fact is that the Ukrainian military sells a huge percentage, up to half of the weapons we send them. And this is not my guess. This is a fact. Not speculation. So this is a crime. They're selling it, and a lot of it winds up with the drug cartels on our border."

Comment: Logic says there is a lucrative secondary+ gun business. Just ask Biden.

The Duran

As usual today, I checked the Duran where there was a very interesting discussion with Aaron Mate and the two A's. Then I read Andrei Martyanov and Larry Johnson. Also interesting. Some things to agree; somethings to disagree.

I don't pay attention to the MSM these days because:

a.) read one, you've read them all. These are copy & paste media.

b.) all MSM "narratives" are just that — Fictions, devolving from a Master Narrative, a cultural mythology.

c.) why bother debunking what is all bunk? I leave that to the wonderful Caitlin and the equally wonderful Bernhard at MoA.

On the other hand, the "mainstream" Alternative Media and its notables have a bit more original content — although even the best are to some degree influenced by MSM tropes. It is insidious, subtle brainwashing.

Slip of tongue or of brain?

For example, Aaron Mate, whom I think you will agree is one of the most incisive of analysts referred to the Russian "invasion" of Ukraine, a slip of the tongue — or maybe a slip of the mind. I have seen this "trope" repeated endlessly among critics of the US proxy war over and over again.

You might think it innocuous- but it isn't. "Invasion" is a keystone concept. The entire Western/ MSM narrative turns on acceptance that Russia "invaded" a sovereign state and started a war. Russia bad. NeoNazis good. In other words, the whole architecture of the Western story collapses if you just remove this single chunk of masonry.

Keep on Trumpin'

Donald Trump

Mr. Disco Inferno has reverted to his default mode of throwing tantrum after tantrum because nearly everybody in West Asia and beyond is sayin' NO to the Gaza Riviera Resort and Casino scam.

Here's a partial pile-up:

Egypt: the Palestinians will not be ethnic cleansed here, or in Jordan, or anywhere else.

Saudi Arabia: We will not normalize with Israel before there is a sovereign Palestinian state.

Turkey, via Sultan Erdogan: No power can remove Palestinians from their "eternal" homeland.

Arab League: this is a "complete detachment from reality."

Hamas: there will be no more ceasefire violations.

Iran, via Leader Khamenei: we will NOT negotiate anything with you.

And this is just the beginning.

Russia, via Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov: "Washington's attempts to give Moscow ultimatums or to demonstrate the alleged 'big favor' in exchange for unacceptable U.S. demands are doomed to failure in the dialogue with Russia."

So we should expect Mr. Disco Inferno to go totally ballistic in the next few days, literally burning the [geopolitical] dancefloor: "Burning, burning (Disco Infernoooooo) / burning burning / burn that mother down".

USAID reportedly bankrolled al Qaeda terrorist's college tuition, unearthed records show

Anwar al-Awlaki
© EPAAn undated handout photograph provided by the Site Intelligence Group on 30 September 2011 shows Anwar al-Awlaki speaking in a televised interview in an unknown location.
The controversial US Agency for International Development (USAID) shelled out thousands to send an al-Qaeda terrorist with ties to 9/11 hijackers to college in America decades ago - an education he used to help recruit and groom terrorists for future attacks on US soil.

President Trump ordered USAID to be dismantled after finding it wasted billions on lefty schemes in recent years — from drag shows in Ecuador to an Iraqi version of "Sesame Street" and aid to the Middle East that made their way into the hands of Hamas and Hezbollah.
But the recently resurfaced terrorist full-ride suggests to critics that the rot has been there for years.

American-born jihadist Anwar al-Awlaki received "full funding" to attend Colorado State University in 1990, USAID documents obtained by Fox News show.

President Barack Obama ordered him killed in a US airstrike in Yemen 20 years later.
