Speaking at the press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Friday, Trump said that Musk will go through "just about everything" while reviewing the budgets of the departments.
"I've instructed him to go check out education to check out the Pentagon, which is the military, and sadly you'll find some things that are pretty bad, but I don't think proportionately, you're going to see anything like we just saw. DOGE will find a lot taking into account how 'bad' it was with what we just went."Earlier this week, Trump stated that billions of dollars have been stolen by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), highlighting that the lion's share of the funds were used to pay for positive media coverage of Democrats.
Trump's administration is currently focused on shutting down the agency, which operates as Washington's primary means for funding political issues abroad. On the first day of his presidency, Trump ordered a 90-day freeze on almost all foreign aid.
The president has also pushed against diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs within the federal government since assuming office on January 20. After being sworn in, Trump signed a series of orders rolling back protections for transgender individuals and terminating DEI initiatives.
Last week, DOGE claimed that it had managed to save over $1 billion thanks to the elimination of contracts related to DEI. Prior to that, the agency had stated:
"We slashed federal spending by approximately $1 billion per day as of January 29, due to an effective halt to the hiring of people into unnecessary positions, the deletion of DEI, and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations."DOGE primary goal is to cut up to $2 trillion in federal expenditures by July 2026.

..it even rhymes!!!:-)
If we can get it done.
I have always declared myself as a Pole, and he is a Ukrainian, although he has lived in Poland for a long time:-)
Isn't that right, Highlander?
If my idea of the ongoing events in the US is correct, the majority of FED banks are now in American hands (Trump side, in contrast to the Biden/Obama/WEF side).
Which would mean, the FED, or large parts of it, is one of Trumps main supporters. Jamie Dimon definitely is !
Thus the FED will not be touched, or let alone destroyed.
Pierre Elliot Trudeau did the same thing in 1972 when he demanded Canadians borrow from the same banking cabal rather than borrowing from the Bank of Canada which had been issuing interest free loans to Canadians since 1935 (give or take a year).
N ow his son (?) Justine is in power and continuing the destruction of society.
I don't think that I can name one North American leader who has not in some way stabbed the population in the back.
And lately, the Biden democrats tried to push through a scheme to move US treasury trade to London. Another attempt of the European/British/WEF "elites" to retain financial & political control over the US. If CamelToe would have won, this plot had surely succeeded. And, I think, another full-blown civil war in the US on schedule ...
My 'Southern' grandmother called it the 'war of northern aggression'. I doubt that any future internal conflict will be as 'cut and dried' as she saw things.
But I think there is much more going on with Trump than meets the eye. E.g. very few people are thinking through what cutting off USAID and NED means. I think we will see a lot of "oppositions" fizzling out (Georgia, Kosovo, Taiwan, Thailand, Phillipines, Hungary, Slovakia), puppets fall (e.g. Pashinyan in Armenia), and terrorism subside (Middle East, Africa). The "US empire" was actually a globalist empire, with the US as their conduit.
Trump is bailing out, if not to save the US itself. Another important operation of this organisations was the procurement of immigration streams to the Southern US border, and to Europe.
I think one must see his other "outlandish" announcments in regard to Canada, Greenland, Panama or Gaza in this context. Coordinated actions to remove control of the oligarchic globalist empire over the US.
It would benefit the U.S. to have Canada and Greenland under its belt; resources, security and just optics; what other power holds such land masses? As far as Panama is concerned, I think that has already been addressed and to the benefit of the U.S.
Any 'war' will begin within the U.S. power structure, and if it cannot be won internally, it will spread into American society. That internal war is already underway and I am thinking that American social conflicts will arise between those states supporting illegal immigration, and those that don't.
That is, unless some natural (or man made) disaster overtakes the Continental U.S. and changes everyone's priorities.
My crystal ball has been out of service for some time
I think the most obvious example is the Panama canal. The British, and thus the city of London, is still very much involved in maritime insurance and controlling shipping lanes. I don't exactly understand why Greenland could be valuable for the EU and the Brits, but their reactions show it is. But not only can't they defend it, the natives seems very pleased with Trump's advances.
But to be honest, I don't understand Canada's special place in this game ...
At the same time, Canada could be considered a buffer country between China and the U.S.
Canada could quite easily become another Ukraine if either Russia or China attacked the U.S.
These comments address 'low hanging fruit' when it comes to global affairs. You and I will never know the deep, dark reasons for why nations do what they do. All we can do is open another bottle of wine and thank God that we still have heat in the house!!
Which in turn makes industries like aluminium and steel production viable and competitive. Especially the aluminium production consumes huge amounts of electical energy, in Europe only Hungary with cheap Russian gas can afford to make it.
Another lesser known fact about the mineral oil is "quality" a.k.a. composition. Most of the oil produced in the US is very light, suitable mosly for gas and kerosene production, but not for most industrial purposes. Russian, Arab and Canadian oil is heavier AFAIK. Well ... not sure. Why would they ?
And if so, wouldn't they start with long-range missiles, started from their own territory and vessels / submarines near the US coast ?
The Russians have plenty of resources and land, they don't need more. Especially because the still struggle to populate their own country. The Chinese could use it, though - hypothetically. But I think it's not in their mindset. Amen to that !
Want to buy a coal mine?
I heard your governments are approaching the Chinese now, to replace the US as their largest trade partner. I wonder how this will end.
At this moment, if I had to choose between being dependant upon China, vs the U.S., I would pick the U.S.. If I had to choose.
That is the saddest part; that we have to choose. As a nation we could become more self-sufficient but we need a different government - a completely different government.
China has the much less militarily agressive history, compared to your southern neighbor. And in a military confrontation, you would be no match, to be honest. A full-scale occupation would be a totally different matter, the US proved to be a notorious failure in this regard...
But I think both could profit from an economic cooperation. There is such a thing as win-win, if you think of it.
Canada and the USA have a long border. There is apparently a super fentanyl lab in the Canadian West being used to traffick fentanyl into the USA. If China is connected to that lab, as an example, it would explain how Trump sees it (tighten the border). Apparently, the Chinese Communist plan from the late 20th century is to infiltrate and destroy a country from within (I haven't read it). In other words, we have to be aware that the CCP runs China, at least at this time.
While the US had build the channel, US companies refused to cover the continuous maintainance requirements in the last years. Thus the Panamanian government looked for a replacement - the Chinese.
For the Chinese, this was purely business.Unlike others, they had no illusions to militarily challenge an competitor at the other side of the world, directly at his front door. If you know history, this fentanyl story might remind you of something - when a certain country forced drugs into another one they wanted to subvert, destroy, and colonize : [Link]
I think the main culprits for the fentanyl problem is right in their midst - the same group that facilitated the massive illegal immigration an destruction of culture and moral norms. With a high probability that the same entity controlling most of the world's drug trade - the CIA - also has it hands in this business. I think the source for "Chinese communist threat" is the same as for communism : [Link]
I don't know why the Chinese hold on to those names, titles and structures. But for anyone having been confronted with communist theories and practises, it is pretty obvious they are "communist" by name only.
It is the reincarnation of the Chinese emperor, draped in red "hammer and sickle" flags, and a democratic varnish.
Although I'm pretty sure the new Chinese Emperor reflects the will of the Chinese people much more than e.g. EU Central Committee and Nazi-Ursula.
Sadly we have Canadian Provinces that want hard drugs decriminalized - the same provinces that currently host the highest homeless populations and the highest drug overdose deaths. [Link]
Drugs become a problem when there is nothing for people to do; no hope for a future. This was very evident in the U.S. after 'free trade' removed local industry and the 'rust belt' expanded.
In Canada this situation also exists, and for the same reason. Sadly it has been exacerbated by the Liberal/NDP/Green parties in their mad rush to destroy Canada's economy by way of increased carbon taxes, reduced industrial investment and reduced hydrocarbon production/sale/use.
Prior to this news, Pierre Polymer's Conservative party was doing well in the polls because the situation was (still is), anyone but Trudeau - plus the only candidate to replace Trudeau as Liberal leader was Christia Freeland, beloved by no one I know.
Now, with Carney being pushed by the media, polls are showing that 'the money' likes Mr. Carney better than Mr. Polymer - party affiliations be damned.
So we will see in a few months, when us pleebes pretend we have some say in the matter during the federal election. I'm not liking our chances and the 51st State concept is feeling more warm and fuzzy every day.
I was thinking that the UK is busy with their own manure, then maybe an actual election takes place.
Why did all that UK gold just get shipped to the U.S.? [Link]
This office that was looking over the Pentagon books wasn't saved from the blob by being situated in the Pentagon building itself. The office was the target.
What is interesting is the "government" doesn't want transparency, and the people do want it. Where did Pelosi, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Schumer, McConnell get all their millions?
