Severe storms that produced several tornadoes and widespread hail rolled through southern Minnesota on Monday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service said there were at least three confirmed tornadoes that swept through the region.

A viewer captured photos of what the WCCO Next Weather team said was a confirmed tornado near Amboy, Minnesota, in Blue Earth County around 6:30 p.m.

Several southern and southeast Minnesota counties were under a tornado warning at different times throughout the evening.

A resident near Northfield saw golfball-sized hail on Monday while others saw various sizes of hail falling in Dennison and Faribault.
