A spokesperson for the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office tells PEOPLE that the autopsy report for 43-year-old Mynoviah Tinsley determined her manner of death to be an accident and the cause to be exsanguination due to multiple penetrating and avulsive injuries.
The spokesperson tells PEOPLE that the injuries are consistent with an animal attack.
Officers with the DeKalb County Police responded to an emergency call on the morning of Feb. 24 and discovered Tinsley's body, Public Information Officer Elise Wells tells PEOPLE.
They also discovered a number of dogs surrounding the body that were "covered in what appeared to be blood," says Wells.
She did not comment any further on the scene, but did say the case is under investigation and officers are working to gather more information, as first reported by WXIA.
Tinsley's husband, who frequently posted photos of dogs on his Facebook account, shared photos of the couple's wedding on Facebook after his wife's death.
"Please pray for me yall I loss my other half today.....Hellllllp," he wrote in one post.
He later shared a second post, writing: "I feel so dead."
A number of friends and family also paid tribute to Tinsley on social media, including her sister.
"With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved wife, daughter, emo, auntie, cousin, friend and baby sister known throughout the Columbus community, Mynoviah 'Mira' Sales-Tinsley has transitioned from this Earthly life," LaMel Sales wrote on Facebook.
She called her sister "a devoted wife and aunt" who "was making her mark on society and aiding her patients through her field of psychology."
Sales then asked for privacy at this time.
Police were not able to say when their investigation into the incident might be complete.

My first experience with these dogs was in the 70s. Parents friend had one. Only the man could feed it. It almost killed his wife many times. Remember visiting, they had to put dog in basement. Whole time, at least 3 hours. That dog tried with every fiber of its being to get through that door. With the couch shoved against the door. Being under 10 i was petrified. The husband eventually had to put it down. Or it would've killed him.
I was raised around working canines. Mainly hunting. I was taught and saw first hand. Any canine turns on owner or growls at children. Immediately put down. Human safety and kids above all else was paramount.
Writing this makes me think. Seems the capital punishment was outlawed just before all the elite and political pedos came out. I'd like to see if capital punishment for some of these freaks would slowly start putting and end to it. Public setting for transparency would be preferred.

I need to get me a puppy.
As letscit45 said, it's stupid to take them in as family pets. And I'll add to that: People who have lethal animals in uncontrolled circumstances, and are willfully ignorant of the possible consequences, should be held culpable and prosecuted for manslaughter.
The doberman was fine. The labs were all fine. The pit, had serious issues. Never beaten for sure. But the dob was lost early to accident and once that one was gone. The pit was not a very good dog. Snipping at kids until it finally bit one. Even gave it to a shelter to work with it and re-home. Even tho not how I was raised. They didn't listen to me. Anyway, the place ended up putting it down as they could not get it to act right. And that was their specialty.
Some things are just what they are. And no matter of trying or money or praying is going to change that.
