Power costs go up because of these data centers, this will spark demand for more power. Prices will go up, you have 2 choices, decrease demand , that ain’t gonna happen. So that leaves us with generate more power and competition or just generate your own power .
The energy demands are extensive - the water used for cooling could be used for better purposes, the community nearby suffers and the "ai" seems basically worthless - tis a losing proposition all around - and rather than use more "energy" why not get more proficient using the fine tools we now have at our disposal - so much easier than it used to be - and can be done using little energy.

For example just today I setup a solar-powered "chicken door" - and I don't deny it took technology to make the solar panel powers this door and the remote - and that is a tool of value. Contrast that with these "server farms" sucking up so much energy and water - and the cost-benefit analysis results are evident - tis a losing proposition.

Better ideas beckon.
Time will tell!
