Trump recalled reports of cocaine being found at the White House

Donald Trump claimed Joe Biden was 'higher than a kite' during his State of the Union address in March and demanded his rival be drug tested ahead of the presidential debates.

'I don't know what he's using, but that was not, hey, he was higher than a kite, and by the way it was the worst address I've ever seen,' Trump said.

The former president discussed Biden during an interview with radio broadcaster Hugh Hewitt on Thursday.

Trump recalled the news of cocaine being discovered by Secret Service at the White House last summer.

'I think what happened, you know that white stuff, that they happened to find, which happened to be cocaine at the White House, I don't know, I think something is going on there,' Trump said.

The former president said he thought Biden was 'helped some way' to get through his State of the Union address 'because most of the time he looks like he's falling asleep.'

He added: 'I watched the State of the Union, he was all jacked up at the beginning, by the end he was fading fast, there's something going on there.'

Despite many Republicans speculating about the source of Biden's energy during the State of the Union, there is no evidence that the president was on any kind of substance.

Trump repeated his call to debate Biden 'anywhere anytime' but said he would want both candidates to be drug tested before the debate.

'I think debates, with him at least, should be drug tested,' he said.

Since officially winning the Republican nomination for president, Trump has repeatedly challenged Biden to a debate.

Biden still has not committed to any debates but said in March that any debate with Trump 'depends on his behavior.'

Biden's communication director Michael Tyler told the DailyMail.com in March that the presidential debates would be 'a conversation we'll have at the appropriate time in this cycle.'

Trump taunted Biden with an empty lectern on the stage during a political rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

'This is for Joe Biden. I am trying to get him to debate,' he said as the crowd laughed. 'Trying to get Crooked Joe to debate. Anytime, anyplace.'

The first debate between Biden and Trump during the 2020 presidential campaign was famously contentious.

Trump repeatedly interrupted and challenged Biden as moderator Fox News host Chris Wallace fought to keep the candidates in check.

When Trump pressed Biden to answer a question about whether he would try to pack the Supreme Court, an exasperated Biden finally snapped.

'Will you shut up, man?' he said.
