Comment: What does arch-censor The Zuck know that we don't?!
Or rather, does he have a similar idea to what we know, that it's all going down, and he plans to survive the collapse?
More to the point, is Zuckerberg more comfortable living underground... because that's where he came from??
If his latest property development is any clue, Mark Zuckerberg might be a biiit of a doomsday prepper.
The Meta CEO is reportedly building a massive compound in Kauai, Hawaii, that will include features like a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker and an escape hatch, and be self-sufficient with its own energy, food, and water supply, according to a Wired article out Thursday, citing sources and planning documents obtained through public records requests.
Construction on Zuckerberg's compound, called Koolau Ranch, is estimated to cost around $100 million; coupled with the $170 million spent on the land for the property, the total price tag sits around $270 million, though that's likely still an underestimate, according to Wired.
The compound will have at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms and a network of nearly a dozen tree houses connected by rope bridges so guests can move between them "while staying among the treetops," Wired reports.
There are plans for two mansions connected by a tunnel linked to the underground bunker, where there will be an escape hatch accessible by ladder and hefty metal doors filled with concrete. In the library, Zuck is planning for "blind doors" designed to blend in with the look of the walls, according to Wired.
Meta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Zuckerberg's not the first tech titan to build a home ready for the end of the world.
OpenAI's ousted-and-reinstated CEO Sam Altman has a stash of things like guns, gold, antibiotics, and gas masks.
Reddit CEO Steve Huffman bought motorcycles, guns, and ammo to be prepared to "hole up in my house for some amount of time" if necessary and even got laser eye surgery because he thinks it'd help his odds of survival in a disaster.
LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman once told The New Yorker he estimates more than half of Silicon Valley billionaires have invested in some type of "apocalypse insurance," like an underground bunker.

That is clearly a synthetic humanoid alien hybrid, infant type.
They bought a property in a sandy strip of land cleared of trees and then sectioned out with paved roads and some infrastructure. That was three governments ago. Since their purchase the crime rate has risen, the infrastructure support has fallen and the 'owners' of that strip of cleared jungle have decided to charge more for the properties already purchased. That is to say my friends cannot build a house until they fork over the extra cash demanded by the family who subdivided the place. Another 40% on top of what they have already paid.
South American legal systems do not function like we think they should. Apart from arming themselves and driving a bulldozer through the gates of the community, my friends have no recourse and could lose a substantial 'investment'.
On one hand I wish them luck fighting this. On the other hand I am glad they are not moving to that earthquake, tsunami and gang violence prone country.
You make me think of those poor, poor California Democrats who move to Texas (or other Red states) and find the place barren; no creamy lattes, no pride flags, and not one Prius dealership! Oh, the horror, the horror.
I looked at that photo of all the people crammed onto the beach and realized it could be anywhere; South Africa, Palestine, China, California, Bahamas, etc...
Like you, I appreciate solitude but unlike you I must find mine in the north and west of this continent - not many sandy beaches but no freaking people either.
Cheers!
Let this apply to billionaires and paupers alike.
On the flip side deep in the back of their minds is a fear...a very palpable fear and here is why: Revelation 6:14-17
And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. AND the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, FALL on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, from the wrath of the Lamb (Jesus Christ): For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
'Take me down to the Paradise City. Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty (take me home)....'
Bunker.
Cave.
Tunnel.
Shroud.
Coffin.
Corpse.
No light.
Darkness.
Blindness.
Deafness.
Dumbness.
Death.
Paradise!
Shouldn't cost much.
Just a few trillion trillion trillion dollars.
And a few trillion trillion trillion other people's lives.
Who's even counting?
And who really even cares?
Armageddon is well worth it.
Because only Armageddon (aka Paradise City) can erase all bad karma, wipe the slate clean and set the evil soul free....
Don'tcha know?
On your Mark (Zuckerberg)
Get set....
Go!
ned,
fucking out
The oligarchs, elites, and psychopaths are having nightmares, in which millions of ravening savage humans, with blazing red eyes, sharpened teeth, pitchforks and jackhammers are breaking through the walls of their mansions and tearing them limb from limb, slicing them with razor-sharp knives into bite-sized pieces, before eating their livers, kidneys and hearts raw.
So they are building billion-dollar mansions with yard-thick reinforced concrete walls and iron blast doors.
They probably still do not get a peaceful night's sleep. Ever.
Wonderful.
The universe can demonstrate a way of bringing balance and justice, in the universe.
