Society's Child
Knight's cartoon, which appeared in the Herald Sun, showed Williams as an overweight baby stomping on her tennis racket - a reference to the US player's outburst at the umpire in her defeat to Naomi Osaka in the US Open final.
Knight faced a barrage of abuse over the image, reportedly including death threats, with many attacking the cartoon as "racist."
Knight's Twitter account has now disappeared, with those attempting to access the @Knightcartoons profile being met with the message: "Sorry, that page doesn't exist."
It's currently unclear whether Knight removed the page himself, or if it was taken down by the social media network. The Herald Sun came out fighting with the front cover of its Wednesday edition, showing the image of Williams alongside others by Knight poking fun at prominent figures, with labels one each mockingly explaining why they would be deemed politically incorrect, alongside the headline: "WELCOME TO PC WORLD."
In defending his depiction of Williams, Knight said he was merely portraying the tennis star's behavior, and that it had no racist or sexist undertones.
"I saw the world number one tennis player have a huge hissy fit and spit the dummy. That's what the cartoon was about, her poor behavior on the court," he said, ABC reported.
"I'm not targeting Serena. I mean, Serena is a champion. I drew her as an African-American woman. She's powerfully built. She wears these outrageous costumes when she plays tennis. She's interesting to draw. I drew her as she is, as an African-American woman," he added.
While he won widespread support on social media, many others said the image clearly drew on racist stereotypes.
Williams was fined $17,000 for violations in Saturday's defeat to Osaka, which included calling umpire Carlos Ramos a "liar" and "thief."
The tennis star accused the umpire of sexist treatment in issuing the violations, claiming that he would not have done the same to a male player.
Comment: Most political or social commentary cartoons caricature the people they are referring to, and Serena Williams is no different. Especially as she is a famous sports figure that went on a temper tantrum during the finals of one of the biggest tennis events. Below is a drawing from the same cartoonist just a few days earlier. Was this the hallmark of sexism, too? Of course not. So what we are seeing here isn't about women's rights, but censorship and special treatment Williams thought herself entitled to.

She thinks that she was fighting against sexism... because in the men's game, the men shout all the time at umpires and break their rackets without much in the way of penalty.
Now, following all this hoopla, she thinks she has a whole bunch of haters... if you're into your modern pop culture, you know famous and talented people feed off haters.
So what she'll do is this.. she'll take her money, go into hiding for a bit at some luxury 5 star resort somewhere that probably costs like over 5k a night. Then she'll get back to the court and do some training... then the next grand slam she'll win and at the end come up with a speech about how you should never let others bring you down, that you can overcome if you believe. And you know what, she'll believe that too.
You can call the lady a crack, a whatever other word you prefer... but unless you're sitting comfortable, at the top of your game... I'd say the better thing to do is not get distracted and instead put your energy into improving your lot in life. Rest assured Serena isn't thinking bout you... so you best not be thinking bout her. She's chilling in a big ol' mansion somewhere thinking how great everything is and probably laughing off all her so called haters.
He's the type of modern sporting personality that is despised by millions... it can't be underestimated the amount of hate millions have for this guy. I mean, it's next level hate! You know what I mean if you watched the world cup.
And here he is... feeding off that hate! Watch what it does to him... it makes him stronger, not weaker.

So yeah guys, bringing it back to Serena... she'll win another grand slam and you'll all have helped her out in finding that extra bit of strength she needed to do so.
Only a select few. Here we are... adding fuel to the fire, making it burn even brighter.
People are out here saying all sorts... laughing... trying to vindicate their world views by judging her behaviour in whatever way - right or wrong... DOES IT MATTER?
There are people having bombs dropped on their houses by american jets and we're here talking about how some woman shouted at an umpire and broke her racket...
How many people are talking about those jets compared to those yapping about this? Do they care more about the jets as they do about Serena? Whether you believe she is a victim or everything that is wrong with society - sjw low life cheater who isn't a woman and never deserved to set foot outside whatever ghetto she was spawned from, I bet you care more about her than them jets.
Lets all worship at the alter of our heroes... love them or hate them, we sure as hell can't live without them.

What a CRACK!!
