The corporate elite has destroyed everything that the US had, by that magical word outsourcing,
There was once a thriving manufacturing base, remember US steel as an example, there are many others. They are now nameless, because the profit margin to export the industrial base of the US, it was cheaper to outsource and to produce in a so called third world country,,... no unions, no claim of industrial negligence. A fair days pay for a fair days work...... no way! It was?and still is a case of the lowest pay that can be considered, should the folks back home with a human rights bent, cotton on that this is greed slave labor.
The US manufacturing base disappeared because, a cheaper work force emerged, due to corporate greed and let us not forget the investors., who want bigger and bigger returns on the said investment.
In the so called third world, that was dominated by US corporate interests and political domination .......what one could call a pay for play scheme, we give you this, we drag you out of your so called poverty and show you what the end results of democracy and the free market is all about.
The companies mentioned above in the article are just the tip of the iceberg, and what Trump is trying to do is bring back that industrial base, and of course the racketeers and profiteers, are fighting tooth and nail to prevent this from happening, just one of the reasons IMO why he has been so hated and demonized.
Just my opinion, think as you will
