Sure, it's a necessary and useful tool when trying to apprehend life. But some of those kids have a perfectly valid point.
I know some people of Millennial age who are forthright, smart and self-motivated. Sure, they are affected by the cultural illusions fed to them. Every generation is. But the quality of soul determines how they sort through the chaos and information cloud and find their way to the top. Some of them are going to do it rather nicely, and you'd be proud to number them among your friends and associates.
Others, however...
When you see young, confused males filled with a need to lock antlers and impress the ladies, but heavily restricted in the manner of their doing so, you see what I have come to call after several hours of fascinated observation, "Aggressive Safe Spacing".
This includes all kinds of weird behaviors, like wearing last night's pajamas and bringing comforter blankets to the cafe and relating to each other like over-grown children with puerile voice affectations. But.., all tough and territorial-like. It's amazing! The human psyche finds away.
And here's the other fascinating thing... I found myself having to bite down hard on a deep seated desire to bully the hell out of them; The thing most feared has a way of magnetically finding you as a direct result, or so it would seem.
