Since he took office in January, President Trump has faced major issues ongoing in this country and is doing everything he can to solve this mess. More than 10 months into his presidency and he has already witnessed multiple natural disasters, the biggest mass shooting in modern US history, all while getting great opposition from every liberal in the country.

According to Fox Business, President Trump has upheld another one of his promises and is trying to get the monthly payments for all Social Security recipients increased, which is expected to be the largest Social Security increase in years. Still, it is only a $28 increase, which translates to an average of 2.2% increase, but considering the last increase of 0.3 percent, this was a move in the right direction.

By now, the average payment of the 61 million people collecting benefits, was is around $1,253. This 28 dollar increase may not seem like a huge increase now, but it is the first step to something much bigger.

Reportedly, Social Security and Medicare have issues of running low on money to fund the programs.

The Social Security Administration announced that the funding will start to run dry in the mid-2030s, while Medicare Part A could be left without funds by 2029.

President Trump has urged Congress to solve this issue as soon as possible.

At the moment, Congress is looking for extra funds to put into Social Security. If the liberals vote against Republicans' proposal millions of citizens, who currently live only on their Social Security funds and Medicare health care plans.

"Lawmakers should address these financial challenges as soon as possible. Taking action sooner rather than later will permit consideration of a broader range of solutions and provide more time to phase in changes so that the public has adequate time to prepare," a report, issued by the trustees, states.

Republicans have discussed the issue before and vowed to do everything in their power to fix the largest benefit program run by the federal government. House Speaker Paul Ryan has stated that he wants to rework these programs.
