The women claim the incident happened around 2 a.m. on June 5. According to the lawsuit, the women were driving home when they were pulled over for allegedly crossing a white line.
After being pulled over, according to the lawsuit, an illegal search was conducted, and a small baggie of cocaine was found on a male passenger in the vehicle. However, both women were doing nothing illegal.
After police found the cocaine, they made the women come to the front of the vehicle one by one. First, the officers made the women lift up their shirt, then pull up their bras, and then shake their breasts as oncoming traffic watched. As the four officers and the passing cars watched, one officer filmed the incident with his cellphone, telling them women to shake their breasts harder.
He directed her "to lean over the hood of the vehicle, pull up her shirt and bra, thereby exposing her breasts to those on scene and to traffic driving by on I-75, and to shake her breasts," the lawsuit claims. "He then ordered her to shake her breasts again, harder."
Hazel Park Police Chief Martin P. Barner, after receiving the lawsuit, says he's opened up an internal investigation. However, he was quick to note that "anyone can file a lawsuit against anybody."
According to court records, the women were not charged with a crime. Also, conveniently for the police department, there were no dash or body cameras on the officers or their vehicles. Chief Barner says the department lacks the funds to put cameras on their officers.
Apparently, the department is so "financially distressed" that putting a $30 dash cam in police cruisers is too much of a burden to have potentially life-saving video evidence.
Disturbingly enough, this behavior, in this department, is not isolated. According to mLIVE, in a separate pending civil lawsuit filed against the Hazel Park Police Department, Police Officer Michael Emmi is accused of using a seized cell phone to watch a mother undress and breastfeed her son.
Megan Pearce, identified in that lawsuit as a 911 dispatcher for Warren police, claims Hazel Park police seized her fiancé's phone during the service of a search warrant in connection with a narcotics investigation, according to mLIVE. The phone's software allowed Pearce to watch this disgusting officer's actions from the baby monitor at her home.
While there is a chance that this lawsuit is frivolous, the idea of police sexually abusing women on the roadside is far from improbable. In fact, police strip search, sodomize, or otherwise rape people on the side of the road all the time.
These tyrants have gone to extensive lengths, up to and including forced medical sodomy, public roadside anal cavity searches, and even murder, to protect society from the dangers of substances deemed illegal by the state.
