Washington, D.C. - Only days after board-certified medicine specialist, and TV personality, Dr. Drew Pinsky publicly stated that he was "gravely concerned" about the health of Hillary Clinton, his show was abruptly canceled by CNN. Not only was he fired, but on Monday, we have found that sources close to Pinsky describe a 'mafia'-like reaction from CNN, including harassment and threats.

After evaluating Clinton's medical records, Dr. Drew concluded that the medical treatments she has been receiving for a number of conditions were akin to "a 1950's level of care." He stated that if he were providing the type of care she is receiving he would be ashamed to show up in the doctor's lounge and would essentially be laughed at by other medical professionals.

While appearing on KABC's McIntyre in the Morning, Pinsky said he and his colleague Dr. Robert Huizenga became "gravely concerned... not just about her health but her health care," after analyzing the publically available medical records on Hillary.

Dr. Drew noted that after Clinton fainted and fell in late 2012, she suffered from a "transverse sinus thrombosis," an "exceedingly rare clot" that "virtually guarantees somebody has something wrong with their coagulation system."

Pinsky went on to say that he felt the situation regarding her health was "bizarre," and said that he felt Hillary's medical condition was both "dangerous" and "concerning." He assessed that it was a likely sign of "brain damage" when Hillary had to wear prism glasses after her fall.

Dr. Drew probably never thought that giving his honest opinion on the presidential candidate's health would ever result in anything more than ratings. However, according to sources near the case, he was wrong.

According to Page Six, sources told them "CNN is so supportive of Clinton, network honchos acted like the Mafia when confronting Drew. First, they demanded he retract his comments, but he wouldn't."

What followed, according to the source, was a series of nasty phone calls and emails. "It was downright scary and creepy," a source close to Pinsky said, according to Page Six.

According to CNN and Pinsky's rep, however, the firing has nothing to do with talking about Clinton's health.

Regarding Pinsky's departure from HLN, CNN Executive Vice President Ken Jautz said: "Dr. Drew and his team have delivered more than five years of creative shows, and I want to thank them for their hard work and distinctive programming." Jautz added, "Dr. Drew and I have mutually agreed to air the final episode of his show on September 22."

"I know the timing is suspicious, and I know it's hard to believe, but the two things had nothing to do with each other," Pinsky's rep Valerie Allen told Page Six's Richard Jones.

Contrary to these public statements, it is difficult to believe that these two incidents happened independently of each other โ€” especially considering that just last week, Huffington Post banned journalist David Seaman from posting on their website for penning a commentary piece discussing questions surrounding Hillary's health problems, as reported by Zero Hedge.

"Both of my articles have been pulled without notice of any kind, just completely deleted from the Internet, and both of those articles mentioned Hillary's health," Seaman said in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

"I've filed hundreds of stories over the years as a journalist and I've never had anything like this happen....I've never experienced this," remarked Seaman, adding that he was now seeking legal counsel.

"This is spooky, to me this is extremely spooky - I don't like it," he added.
