Thus, Russia will provide Iran with two governments loan totaling 2.2 billion euros to finance the construction of a thermal power plant near the city of Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf, and the electrification of the railway area of Garmsar in the north-east of the country, "- said Putin in an interview with the Azerbaijani state news agency, which reported this on the eve of his visit to Baku to participate in the meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia.

Earlier, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia and Iran have agreed to promptly sign a "road map" for cooperation in the field of industry, which includes about 70 projects.

The Iranian Communications Minister, Mahmoud Vaezi, said Iran and Roskosmos have come to an agreement on the construction and launch of a new Iranian satellite, Mehr reported.
