As a result of the incident none of the crew members on board were injured, but one of the bridge's pillars (№ 80) was completely destroyed, another one (№79) was almost destroyed and several others were badly damaged (two gauge piles were destroyed and a displacement was fixed on two supports).
Damaged bridge is using for technical cargo delivery for the construction of the main bridge over the Kerch Strait.
It is noted that the ship is owned by Turkuaz Shihhing Corp, and its captain is a Turkish citizen. Currently, the vessel is at the raid of Taganrog port.

The arbitration court of Rostov region has forbidden the release of the Turkish cargo ship "Lyra", that damaged the support of construction bridge in the Kerch Strait.
A claim for damages has been brought to the ship owner.
"The cargo ship was arrested to ensure marine demands of "SGM-Bridge" LLC. Interim measures in the form of arrest are required for subsequent recovery of damages in a judicial procedure", — stated the court ruling.
Earlier on Wednesday it became known that the Turkish cargo ship "Lyra" was arrested. The Maritime agencies of the region reported that on March 20 in connection with the incident, the employees of the port visited the ship.
"Traces of fresh paint were found on board — tried to hide marks of collision with the pillar.
