Many years ago In Canadian grade school, I refused to stand up and sing 'God Save the Queen' because in my mind she had no power over me on this continent. I got detention and as a compromise I would stand but didn't have to say anything.
My how things have changed; even in Canada these days that sort of mini-protest against an establishment ideology will get a student investigated for subversion or punished for disrupting the class.
Is there supposed to be a difference between pledging allegiance to the United States and pledging allegiance to ISIS?
Isn't pledging allegiance to the USA the same as pledging allegiance to Greater Israel? Aswell as ISIS, as Jack pointed out.
