A picture that actor Norman Reedus recently posted to his Instagram account is raising some eyebrows. In the photo, shared Monday, the "Walking Dead" star has "DO NOT BITE ME" scrawled across his shirt — and apparently, with good reason.

Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in the AMC series, was reportedly bitten by a fan at the zombie-themed Walker Stalker Con at the Meadowlands Exposition Center. The convention was in Secaucus from Dec. 4 to 6.

The woman is said to have bitten Reedus on the chest, but TMZ reports the actor did not press charges against her since it was not a serious injury.

Thousands of fans of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' filled out the Meadowlands Expo Center

Reedus' photo is a play on an Entertainment Weekly photo for which the "Walking Dead" actor appeared wearing the same shirt, except it said "BITE ME." Just to clarify, Reedus added this as a note: "Um please don't."

A screenshot of an Instagram post reportedly shared by the biter has been making the rounds — in it, "harleygurl68," who calls Reedus "the love of her life," apologizes to the actor. The account for that username is currently set to private.

"I don't know what came over me," the post reads, attributing the bite to an overdose of excitement. "It wasn't my intention to hurt him. I'm sorry Norman!" The post also says the fan was banned from the rest of the convention.

But it looks like Reedus, 46, continues to maintain a sense of humor about the alleged incident — on Tuesday he tweeted a GIF from the 1975 movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" of a rabbit flying at a knight and biting him mercilessly.
