Because a number of bizarre incidents in recent years have people wondering if they could be for real.

Naked, oblivious and out of control people going on the attack - with some still resisting arrest after being shot and tasered. The following video contains some reports of 'zombie attacks' so far this year...

Wow, the outbreak

is again happening during the same time of the year as in year 2012 (late May to early June). It can't be just the coincidence that a peak of the 'zombie activity' is happening almost as per schedule.

This is really strange. Even guns can't protect you anymore. That cop shot that guy 3 times with either a 45 or a 9 and he was still growling and writhing around with his internals probably blown to pieces... that is not natural. What is being done to people now. Maybe their experimenting with the new monkey brain hacking technology that was in the news recently. Only God knows at this point.

This is SO intriguing (ok, horrible, but intriguing too). I wonder why do most of the attackers remove their own clothes before the attack. Could this be demonic posession, some new drug or maybe both? Damn scary.
And why does it seem to be happening in North America only? We have crazy violence here in Brazil, but they are usually related to money, revenge etc.. unlike these zombie cases that seem to be directed at random victims.

Prescription drugs...

along with so-called 'bath salts' and other street drugs like ecstasy and crystal methamphetamine are the likely causes of such incidents in the US. Law enforcement agencies and prosecutors aren't openly dealing with the root causes because they fear legal liability for killing the worst offenders, and they don't want to take on the psychiatric establishment that is flooding US society with dangerous anti-anxiety medications with names like Xanax and Paxil and Ambien, which earn billions annually for extremely rich, powerful and totally immoral pharmaceutical companies.

Weakening magnetic field

...could be one factor. People need stable magnetics in order to remain stable mentally too, especially if they aren't stable in other areas of life (as mentioned - drugs etc.).

Pain threshold modifier drugs

Probably pain threshold modifiers as the brain's pain-registering center shuts down, making movement after being shot possible.

Parts of the circuit deactivated could break pain registering, if these scientists are correct:

neurons originating in the deep dorsal horn of the spinal cord, which are activated by convergent input from sensory neurons responsive to many signals (touch, pressure, pinch, cold and heat from all tissues), send messages (via the thalamus) to the specialized areas of the cortex that represent touch (the somatosensory cortex). This region is held to be the core of a 'neuromatrix' distributed over the entire forebrain that deciphers pain from the pattern of activity across all of the convergent neurons.
