“Simulacra + Simulation” by Jean Baudrillard is heavy going, but a great read.
Oh, now we're spinning the "cracking narrative," are we? Drawing a parallel between the two major (and incredibly clever) "limited hangout"...
Blade Runners, USA anyone? :)
You cannot reason with unreasonable people, you can only beat them into submission.
The problem with public awakening is that the blob is now planning an end run around us with total narrrative control and personal access control...

...they're now "urban animals." Yep -- dangerous carnivores now have "rights."
Some years back, a raccoon family took up residence in a tree in my backyard. I didn't want my indoor-outdoor cat to appear on their dinner menu.
I called the Department of Fish and Wildlife. I was told that I would have to hire a professional to trap them. At my expense.
The woman that I spoke with was polite and sympathetic. I asked her if it would be legal for me to squirt them with a high-pressure water nozzle to drive them away. She responded that it would be legal for me to "harass" them.
I followed through. The raccoons didn't like it, and they vacated the tree toot sweet.
Raccoons and coyotes pose a danger to pets, small children and even adults. It should be legal to use lethal force against them.
"Urban animals?" Screw PC!
