On a global scale, most of the players have considerable mass and inertia. Thus, if you want to cause a significant re-arrangement, you have to do it with a major event.
The most recent major event was preceded by a setup that pushed most governments into a no-deficits footing without adequate remedy for future catastrophes. When the catastrophes happened, the governments had to shrink. This was the plan. The background for a ripple effect had already been put in place. Large, centralized "safety nets" were set up in the early decades of the last century. We were shifted to income tax, and militarization was fueled by the Cold War, leaving no money during good times to be saved away for bad times. So shrinking governments resulted in the spread of poverty. This was also the plan.
The people of the United States were too fat and prosperous to be easily controlled. They needed to be "softened up" a bit, as has been done by wars in Europe and outright theft in Russia, Asia and Africa.
The plan is progressing. I think the direction it's heading is fairly clear. I don't think increased government spending is really the indicated handling at this point.
It's time to get ethics in or die. That means getting people honest and straight or not letting them lead countries, states or towns. That means cutting back and to a certain extent "starting over" because of all the damage that has already been done. Then at some point, we could be prosperous once again, and for real this time. How long do we want all this to take?
is and always has been: Monetary policy. You print money backed by debt-based IOUs then it is COUNTERFEIT. What does counterfeit money do to the rest of the money in circulation? Steals purchasing power away from the consumer/tax payer.
The dollar value sinks, prices climb, savings loose value. The real wealth transfers upward, middle class people loose their capital; political and otherwise.
Put our economic woes where they belong - the banks. They are so big and so powerful govt answers to them, they write their own regulations for christ's sake. They figured out how to turn thin air into gold, now all the wealth transfers into fewer and fewer hands and we run around blaming the sitting president like he ever had control over anything in the 1st place. Money rules the world, not patriotic speeches.
