Wow. Great find.
It's on SDO and SOHO images back to 03-08-2012.
Not a dust donut, not an instrument or camera phenomenon.
The filament appears to strike the dark sphere (bubble or whatever).
Original FITS image full size SDO taken into AstroArt 3.0, logarithmic stretch reveals an object 400 pixels across vs Solar Disc 3200 pixels across, roughly.
Math is 400/3200 = x/880000 or x = 110,000 miles in diameter.
This is a Jupiter sized object.
Best image is 03-10-2012. Blink compare shows 03-09-2012 image of object to be moving into place.

That image is unbelievable. Boggles the mind, it must have a simple explanation. One would assume it can't be a spaceship, can't be a planet, can't be a physical object.. Therefore it is more likely to be some freak abberation from the operations of the sun caused by unknown operations of the sun..

A couple of days after the huge triangular coronal hole appeared on the sun and a couple of days before the sun gave out the biggest CME in 5 years.

Maybe they are all connected?

I guess the smart money is on the twin sun.

Whatever it is, it rotated about the Sun clockwise on 03-09-2012, went stationary on 03-10-2012, then went out in the general direction of the filament flare approx. 1.5 diameters on 03-11-2012, that is, it left the Sun perpendicular to the limb
That's some odd behavior for a supposedly stationary and long-lived cavity phenomenon.
I remain highly skeptical that this is a routine phenomenon, or that any process of 'ruling out' has taken place.

It doesn't change my view. The most important argument is connected with time - which "cavity" before was recorded stable for a period over 60 hours? And which cavity made then "pheeewwwww" and flied away?

This parasite needs to be careful when he goes back out into the world because some people in Blighty ain't so forgiving. He could end up dead...
